  1. At least 1927 wasn't our most recent woodie! Though, when you have a great ride, and you take care of them- it- then you dont necessarily see a big draw for a new one. It was good enough for Michael Cera[emoji14] Then again.. there is so much that we could gain by adopting the recent successes of the modern woodie and modern, true hybrid coasters.. We need a SOB redemption eventually, right?
  2. Im assuming he loved making things for people to have fun. That's what I meant
  3. Maybe it's just me, but hearing the story of Arrow again, makes me feel like being amazing, being innovative and pioneering things is incredibly hard. It's something that will be envied and challenged by competition. It's not worth it. It's a life of hardship after hardship where you will be the charitable backbone of many other companies' successes.. you ultimately are simply remembered, when you have been let go. It just feels like a bitter sweet story to me, that Im glad happened, and Im glad it's a company we're talking about and not someone's life. For example a lot of former Arrow engineers are apart of other coaster companies. Very interesting documentary. And screw you,Vekoma, you dirty dogs[emoji14] P.s. forgot to say... but it's worth the hell you pay, when it's something you love. And who doesnt love fun?
  4. And it was released an hour ago. Here's the Youtube link to their page. Happy watching! https://youtu.be/rGKgVxx5Wu8
  5. *trying not to pollute the forums with Shia LaBeouf*
  6. Put them against me!Not because I can beat them. I need to go there and after I get beaten, they can quickly let me on the ride.. and hey, El Toro is just a skip scotch away! (Just do it!)
  7. We'll see what that Jimmy Fallon ride is like and then I may just agree with you if that ends up being amazing.
  8. I hope things do get better for you. Or that at least you can do many more things that you want to do And you shouldnt feel like you're being too dramatic, but I'll help you out anyways and bring the message to a funnier note.
  9. If you've already paid for a pass renewal, and weren't given a new physical card to begin with, in my experience, it wasn't an additional card. However, replacements (from the same year) always do have a fee.
  10. I too find it a bit of a visual no-no.. but.. I dont think it's the worst thing
  11. Gotta hand it to Kentucky Kingdom, they've always had a diverse collection of coasters, from Chang, Twisted Twins and Greezed Lightning under SIX to The Runs and (soon to be) Storm Chaser now. Although I will likely not venture down there this summer (I'd prefer my first SLC to be a non-modded version, just to see what it's like)), I'd likely to return in 2017 and am interested to see their coaster collection grow once more.First, Chang and Twisted Sisters/Twins were Hart contracts. Second, that reason for not going this year may well be one of the silliest, inane things I have ever seen here: A. There is no guarantee the park will have a complete 2016 season, much less open in 2017. B. Coasters do get destroyed. C. You or the park may not be around next year. Sad, but true. Most importantly, the park needs your business NOW. I tried to give them mine. Sigh. Is there a reason, and a good one, for why you seem to be shunned from visiting certain parks?
  12. Those information kiosks will be used much more! Wash your hands kids.. and adults.
  13. The next day, I rode Flight Deck at Canada's Wonderland. At that moment, I gained an appreciation for Mind Eraser. In my uncommon opinion, Flight Deck was even worse than Time Warp, which is an achievement, l guess... Given that it's still an SLC, I do not doubt you.Edit- it's so weird. Everytime I watch the ride, it looks and sounds (aside from people's reactions) really smooth. I don't hear any rattling or fast transitions.. so deceptive.
  14. Oh goodness.. I think Mind Eraser might have the most accurate name of all the SLC coasters.. I found it as rough as T2. My advice, go this year
  15. Flickr is very good for albums like this.. until you use 1TB of data anyways[emoji14] Im saving that photo of TTD. I wanna remember the difference it really made haha.
  16. Since I posted on a tied finish I'm the reverse. I think it is very highly UNlikely to succeed. And I will be heartbroken if it doesn't succeed. I hope you're wrong. For both of our sakes.. And I guess everyone else too.
  17. Wow, fantastic shots. Can't wait for more. How did Top Thrill Dragster look?
  18. And others of us are a little more lucky and haven't had any of that stuff happen somehow. Everything is relative.
  19. Don't be too hard on yourself. It's not like I have the best self control with everything. (Edit- and that's with non addictive things) I hope smoking sections don't end up being pushed to a back corner. There should be a happy medium between easy access and seclusion. I think the one I pictured above is a good location that's right off the path, but doesnt really get noticed when walking by. (Unless it's incredibly crowded) I just think under the helix isn't that happy medium.
  20. I think they do appreciate your business also! Im sure everyone on this site is a loyal KI patron. I don't feel the need to tolerate people who smoke. I simply don't want to be subjected to the smoke when they're doing that activity. I have sympathy for people that didn't grow up with it ingrained so heavily and shown that smoking isn't the best thing to do, while they were growing up. Im not sure if it came off that way, but I apologize if it felt like I was attacking you or other cigarette smokers. I just want smoking sections to be reasonably secluded from people that don't choose to breathe it. Edit- one small thing you do, doesn't extend to define how I judge someone as a person.
  21. I truly hope you're being facetious and not legitimately concerned about that...Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk I don't like to tolerate unhealthy lifestyles.Especially when they affect other people. It's not about the immediate affects, but the lifetime of exposure to it. I don't think it's absurd to be a little concerned about it. Why shouldn't I be? Genuinely, if I've nothing to worry about, I'd like not to. I don't wanna smell farts either haha Buut, I think farts might be a little less harmful.
  22. I think it has a chance to succeed.. but I'm not fully convinced. However, I would be saddened if it doesn't succeed. I dislike any amuesment park being closed down. Especially one near me. Especially one with two phenomenal coasters (pressuming) I'm sorry, but I like spaces.
  23. Here's a processed version of the image for you're speculating pleasure. Source of original photo: "kingsislandpr" on Instagram --- The first drop is much higher from the ground. It has time to dilute in the air to be virtually unnoticed. Also not directly underneathe. Definitely being emcompassed by the ride.
  24. Diamondback's finale will have a new feature at the end. Free second-hand smoke before the final splashdown.. If that's what the concrete clearing is.
  25. I wish funnel cakes were slightly cheaper. I suspect this will take the toppings options from the International Street funnel cakes, and adopt those options for Rivertown to enjoy! Great options, that I refuse to partake in at $8-ish for a basic funnel cake.
