  1. That would be perfect. Set it at a 90 degree angle to Delerium so people would see them both swinging at the same time with Sling Shot and Sky Flyer going as well...... Then it would truly live up to the name of "Action" zone!!!
  2. To all of those who say a park should not remove one ride for another: Would you rather have the canoe ride or The Beast?
  3. I think the old Flight Commander site would be better. It belongs in Coney Mall.
  4. If you liked Screamin' Deamon, check out Afterburner at Fun Spot in Indiana.....
  5. Just being a prosecutor at work and a single Dad at home. And the Real Pirates Exhibit at the Museum Center, and the traditional Newport Aquarium and Air Force Museum visits....
  6. The Beast has always been and always will be my favorite ride on the planet!!!! I will never forget my childhood memories of that ride, the lake, standing in line for hours, using the swithchbacks, the tree with all of the gum stuck on it, etc....... This year, in June, a thunderstorm went through. Afterward, fog started rolling in as the sun set. The tops of the lift hills on The Beast were above the fog and the sky was a deep blue, as it was not yet completely dark. Riding through the fog in the woods was awesome. But looking down at the park through the fog at the top of the second chain lift and seeing that perfect sky above us was the most beautiful coaster ride I have ever experienced!! I told my kids to make sure they remembered that sight because there will be very few times in their lives when they will be able to see that again.
  7. Yes, but I think a Huss Jump2 would fit in well in Action Zone where Days of Thunder now sits......
  8. I guess I'm old.... The Beast has ALWAYS been first and last ride of every day.....
  9. There's no way a flat ride will be put in back there, especially since they have the horrible Flight Commander/Zodiac area nearby which desperately needs a new flat.....
  10. I like the flag idea, but proper etiquette requires that the flag not be flown in bad weather and illuminated at night, so someone would have to climb up there and take it down every time it rained. On the other hand, they could rig a pulley and lights fairly easily I think. Good idea....
  11. As for the lights, I don't mind the changing colors, but Iagree that purple was better at Ferafest last year.
  12. I'm NOT criticizing the person who said the tower was blue, but it IS green. He may really be colorblind in certain shades.I am a little bit colorblind myself and have gotten into similar arguments because I really can't tell what color something is.
  13. I'm not ashamed to admit I'm old. Keggers made me want to lose my lunch, but Bayern Curve was never a problem. And, yes, it was pretty fast....At least it seemed that way back then...I wonder how fast it really went....
  14. Maybe everyone on this site and on savethedipper.com could figue out a way to pool our money and preserve it somewhere.......... Just an idea.....
  15. Had 1 incident this year at SOB when the line was actually long. We were on the ramp and these 2 kids about 13 bumped into me and the guy in front of me trying to push through... I said something and they started making some excuse. Fortunately the other person they bumped into was a HUGE biker type fellow who said "You can go back to the end of the line or you can go over that fence." They chose to go back... It was hilarious.....
  16. I'm sure that CF has many accountants and lawyers who work very hard to maximize the depreciation deductions when it comes time to file the tax returns.......
  17. This year, even my 7-year-old asked "Why does that still say Paramount, Dad?"........
  18. I'm speechless...... So many memories...... Thank you!!! That brought tears to my eyes at times.
  19. Bayern Curve had the bobsled theme.... Fun ride when I was a kid. As I recall, it was right about where Delerium and Sling Shot are today.
  20. I must agree. The old Zodiac/Flight Commander area is the perfect spot for a large ferris wheel. I always enjoyed the views from Zodiac, especially at night.
  21. I don't think TG is a "bad" coaster. The stopping at the end is (as has been pointed out in this thread)designed to simulate landing a jet on a carrier and is my favorite part of the ride.....
  22. How often does that happen? If you can make your first shot, you have been playing for a long time. But, I'm sure that first timers do find the "needle in the haystack" every once in awhile.... You DO know that those rims aren't as big around as standard basketball rims, right?
  23. It would be if they had made it bigger so that it was an airtime opportunity....
  24. I'm on board with those who want a Huss Jump2 either at the old Flight Commander site or getting rid of Days of Thunder and putting it there.....
  25. I wouldn't want to win one. IMHO, I don't want to make a special trip to the parking lot, pay for a locker, or carry the thing around with me for the rest of the day..... And, if I had my heart set on a basketball, I think it would be easier and cheaper to just go and buy one than it would be to spend money trying to win one. Finally, if you're good enough to win a basketball at KI, you obviously already own at least one....
