  1. ^ Thanks for the fascinating story. It thrills me to know there is[/is] someone inside KI that cares about the Wurlitzer as much as I do.

I love your idea. It's absolutely fantastic. I would get behind it full force. Perhaps the good people here at KIC (hint, hint!) could get behind this and make a movement. $2700 split amongst the regulars here is not a lot at all per person. Maybe there is a chance after all.

even though I'm hardly on here anymore due to not having Internet I would be all for helping to raise money to go towards the organ.... I absolutely miss that thing.. I don't ride the carousel hardly anymore since the organ doesn't work. hope there are enough of us that are interested in trying to do something to get it fixed

  2. i have no clue....and i work there isnt that sad? although I usually dont pay attention to those signs or havent this year since I have worked there more than I have gone to ride rides...when I went last sat as a guest all of the ride cycles seemed the same as they always have been...unless they mean like the train where you actually have to get off the train and walk.....other than that I cant think of anything...

It felt like The Racer pulled out of the station really fast.

wouldnt know...I work on Adventure Express lol..but our ride has been seeming to fly through the night when I have had the chance to test ride...

for me I would have to say trail of terror, urgent scare, and club blood are my favorites...but yeah the crowds usually start dieing down around 9 or so...so the lines after that keep getting shorter and shorter...i know last year i was able to get through all of the mazes minus like one or two...so you should be able to get through most of them...of course everyone has their own favorites but at one point all of the mazes come up...they are all really good i think...main thing to remember is to have fun :)

I would have to disagree with that. One time when I was there in mid-October last year, the lines didn't start getting shorted until after 10, almost 11 pm. Maybe the crowds become smaller earlier in the evening when it's earlier in the season?

ok yes yes, earlier in the season it does...but you are correct...later in the season its about 10 or 11 before crowds start dying down...my fault..thats what I get for thinking about many things at once...lol.

  5. I. Ant tell if thts the train, artificial fog, or real fog LOL. Just happy about tonight though.... If you are going tonight don't forget to stop by Adventure Express and say hey to me.. My nametag will say David on it :) ITS FINALLY HERE :)

  6. Oh I know how that is... On Friday I work at Kings Island, get off work around 1:30 am, get home and to bed around 2-2:30, and have to get up and be at my other job by 7 am... But as many of you said... It's gonna be worth it :) oh and for the count down, only two more days and a few hours left....OOOOOHHHHH I CAN'T WAIT!!!! ok enough with caps :P:lol:

Oh and stalkerchick, I work on Adventure Express :)

  7. I do have to say it saddens me a little bit to see Dead Awakening gone from the list of shows for Halloween Haunt but Im sure the new show will be a good one. that was one of the main things I was looking forward to was watching Dead Awakening but I guess thats out of the question...eh, Glad there is so much to do at Kings Island for the Haunt to keep me busy

  8. OMG, I just realized that you can be walking thru the dense patch of fog (in rivertown). You would hear the horror music playing (this is starting to creep me in the good way). As you near the train depot, you start to see some HUMUNGO footers and support beams. Then out of nowhere, you hear this giagantic roar of biblical porportions(almost like a dinasoar) as the cars of Diamondback come screaming down the hill. Then as it trails away, you can see the backdraft of the fog swirling behind it. OOOooo is it the 17th yet?! (So I can start my rehersals).

yeah I thought about that too...like I said, I just cant wait till it starts...This year as going to be awesome..im just hoping I can go a few times when im not working...I have already started listening to halloween music just because Im too excited and cant wait

  9. Alright It's almost that time of year again!!! With Halloween Haunt just around the corner, I honestly have to say, I cant wait for it...I have been waiting a full year for it to be this time of year again and I know that as each day passes, Halloween Haunt gets closer and closer. I am starting this topic board for everyone to post everything about Halloween Haunt. I did it last year and thought it was a Huge success and still read the old forum from time to time. But with this year, there are once again more additions to the line up. I thought I would get this topic started now so that way we can all see who is as ready for this year's Halloween season as I am...

For myself, last year I stopped helping put together a haunted house for the local elementary school near me. It depressed me and I knew I would have to go to Halloween Haunt to help get over it. I absolutely loved it last year and had a blast and met so many different people from here that worked on the haunt. I am just too excited and cant wait for this year's season. Im sure it will be even better now with Diamondback and rushing through the fog on the first hill. I think that will be an awesome experience getting to the top of the lift hill and looking down and not seeing the bottom of the first hill. then rushing down towards the ground only to fly through the fog and up the second hill. Just the thought of it makes me want to jump up and down. I love everything about halloween and since I work at the park this year, I have been watching them slowly put up props throughout the park and watching it start to transfer right before my eyes. when I come into work and I see a new prop up for Halloween Haunt, I know that its only a matter of time until the undead walk the walkways of Kings Island. I plan on having a great time this year once again and go beyond that since I get to work the haunt this year. I have started counting down the days until the very first day of Halloween Haunt.

  10. I will have to be honest. right when I saw this topic my exact thoughts were "oh boy here we go with snoopy, I knew it would be too soon when Cedar Fair brought Planet Snoopy to KI" to be honest, I agree with a few things, What will they do with dark ride (SDaHC) and a few others like avatar, runaway reptar, spongebob's bikini bottom bash and a few others....they are really going to have to think on how they can remodel some of these rides...ok, now that I think about it, there are only a few they would have to think about I guess. even though I love the peanuts gang, I do have to agree, most of the kids of theese days have no clue who they are, I mean I have three cousins at the age of 13,11, and 8 and none of them know who the peanuts gang is...I am too a little worried about how they are going to pull this off, but maybe we are all just jumping to conclusions and imediately thinking it will be a flop. I'm pretty sure they thought long and hard about this before they made a final decision to bring in the peanuts gang. so I guess we will just have to see what changes come to the kiddie area and how changes are made...just like with Diamondback, all we really can do is just sit back and watch what happens and what comes to life for next year...I mean who knows, they could have really awesome ideas that we are just not thinking about right now, even though I am a little skeptic about the transition, at the same time I'm kinda excited about it to see what will be done and how they will change the entire area...

  11. at that point in time I had never ridden anything that went upside down lol..so it kinda scared the poo out of me lol...but if I could ride it again today, I might agree..but since we know we wont get to try that ride ever again lol...oh well. at that time I wasnt a real thrill seaker, My fav ride was either Adventure Express or WWC...allthough, it is hard to beat WWC. I have ridden many rides like it and still say this one is the best out of all of them..sry got off topic again lol..

  12. I know..I wish I could ride it...I could prolly ride it once but that would be all I could do the entire day...and Im not gonna go just to ride one ride and be done for the entire day lol...I would do it at night before the park closes but by that time my back is hurting a little bit as it is from standing all day lol...but oh well..thats what POV's are for :P no they dont do justice but at least I know what the ride looks like

  13. I liked TRTR also...just didnt like when it held you up side down...that was the only thing i hated about the ride lol..but yeah it was really neat on how it was interacting with the scenery...so no ur not the only one...i just liked the "original" crypt's program...sounds like I will be very dissapointed to ride this new program that they all of a sudden pulled on us :(

  14. the only rides I havent ridden are the wooden coasters: racer, beast, Son of Beast. and as for flats, Delirium and drop zone...other coasters i havent ridden are face off..sounds like a lot of rides I havent ridden but I cant ride wooden coasters cause of my back, for the flats, im scared of heights...and face off the only reason is cause I didnt start riding coasters until last year, so Im still trying to find a day that im not working so I can go ride it...

  15. I think they plant the floral clock later in May. Like around Memorial Day. It still had the planter boxes in it when I walked past it, just no plants.

And the real answer is ... there is no fork. ;)

lol would you by any chance refering to the matrix movie??? if so i got it right away :P but yeah, If i remember right they dont put it in until after they start opeinging the park every day...

  16. they need to do something with it...dont know what but something needs done...even if its something little but still...it needs quite a bit of tlc i would hate to just have to watch the thing rot over time
