    yep believe it or not this is really our top gun when it had its first paint on it...ir really was read and suprisingly i can remember some of it...and yes you can still see at some parts of track that it was red before, when in the station, go to the front car line and look after the train has gone up the lift hill...there is a small and i mean small sliver of red pain on the track just a little bit before the lift hill starts...there are only small specks of red left on the track and you actually have to know what to look for but when you know what your looking for you can always spot it out. the track was only red for like 2 or 3 years if i remember right...it wasnt red for that long for some reason...i guess it faded, and i actually remember it being just a lighter color of red than in that pic...

    well for me, I have been terrified of coasters and all of the extreme thrill rides up until last year. I was just like, you know what, all my life i have been terrified to ride all of these rides, mainly cause of that feeling you get in the stomach, I couldnt stand it what so ever but figured if I ride the rides enough that feeling would go away. so to start off I ended up getting on top gun, loved it, then went to fof and Vortex...and this year (since i didnt get time last year to ride it) Firehawk. i was so nervous to ride that and once I rode it i was like that was it??? that wasnt bad at all what so ever. I even forced myself to get on Diamondback at the first chance i got and rode it two times and loved it....it still makes me nervous cause im terrified of heights but love it. the only thing i dont do is wooden coasters cause they kill my back...but everything else except for face off/Invertigo, i have ridden and loved. I havent had the chance yet to ride face off...but that will prolly change sometime this year...but i wont try drop zone, skyflyer and slingshot mainly cause i hate the feeling of falling...for some reason it seems a little different on coasters and doesnt bother me which i dont quite understand but oh well lol..so yea, I have been a coaster junkie since last year now i pretty much just say bring it on and i will try it...kind of suprising to take such a huge leap in just a year for me but hey, at least im not afraid anymore :P

    I would never ride Slingshot, Sky Flyer or Drop Tower.. I was dragged on scared to death last weekend, BUT I LOVED IT :D

    so you did end up liking them lol...havent gotten to talk to you much about it since i have been working my butt off lol.

    They really need to replace alot of those trees...used to be so much more beautiful to see.

    Those photos are great. Thanks for posting them! It is amazing to see how the first photo of each of your posts is different from the last photo of your first post. It's kinda sad to see all of those trees gone.

    Once they get more trees filled in it will look very beautiful with Diamondback amongst them.

    I agree with these three...I was sad last year to see how many trees actually were taken out, yes Diamondback is also beautiful but some trees next to it would be great! add some of the same effect that beast does when going through the woods. I know you cant get trees too close to the coaster cause of safty reasons but there are areas where trees could be added and still be safe for the coaster and the riders...plus I think it would look neat with the trees around it personally.

    I, for one, wish there were no seatbelts on any coaster in the park. Yes, all! I'm glad that there are no seatbelts and that ops don't have to waste time to check an unneeded extra restraint. If people meet the requirements to ride, they should have just a little bit of responsibility in case a problem with the restraint occurs.

    Flyer, who will build a coaster with force one day, and will not need a seatbelt to survive.

    PS. What's next? Wanting the trim to do more than it does?

    I agree especially on Adventure Express...i dont know how many people fought me over the seatbelt and me trying to check it to make sure it is secure this past weekend...too many to count...

    i rember amazon falls which is what it was called before the name change to congo falls. when the phantom theater first opened and because i was a wwweeee wiper snapper it scared the crap out of me. also riding the smurf ride before it was changed to the phantom theater. the giant slide near hanna-barberra land that also set next to a blue elephant in the middle of a small fountain and occasionally shot water. also when days of thunder first opened up. and who can forget the keelboat canal ride.

    those were the days....phantom theater also scared the crap out of me...i guess it was cause the people were blue and i thought they killed the smurfs...not for sure though lol

    Definitely different construction safety laws in place nowadays! Wow for the Eiffel Tower builders! Fearless! I would have imagined they'd have safety lines & carabiners. Nope. Just walking around like there's no 250' drop to either side. Amazing!

    I know!!! when I saw them just walking around my stomach did flips..I was thinking to myself...HA! FORGET THAT...I know I wouldnt be able to do something like that...Im afraid of heights too much to do something that brave..

    I remember waiting in that line with my parents when you went into the lower queue...they also had helmets and stuff on display...I hated roller coasters then but liked to go through there and look at all of the neat stuff..i remember the windshield wiper but dont remember if i could see water or not...its been way too long...

    the only time I have been to myrtle Beach was when I went with a youth group at the end of my 9th grade year. it was awesome and something even better was that I stayed at the exact same hotel I think!! that is awesome!! brought back tons of memories for me!!

    I think i heard on here that they were putting the fog back on top gun this year along with some other special effects on other rides...or was this just a rumor...

    yes :lol:

    I also heard they were actually going to have working effects on The Crypt this year too. :P

    now one could only wish for that lol......but hopefully by next year we might have somewhat better theming for it lol...doubt it though
