Yes the coasters and rides are open as long as the park is open.
thank you. i thought they did but i just couldnt remember
i was only like...10 or 12 when i went the last time...here is another question that i have. how crowded do you think it will be tomorrow when it opens?
-
if i remember right....yes they do. I think they stay open until the park closes....i could be wrong but from what i have been reading and from one previous visit during halloween season many years ago, they kept them all open...that is a good question yes. but i do think they do keep them open...
-
well im hoping that i can get all of the scare zones and mazes in this year lol.im planning on going like 2 or 3 times this season hopefully. im going friday so i can try to get a few of them out of the way
-
same here i went saturday with the family. it looked like they had almost everything set up for it then. Cant wait for a great year of Halloween Haunt
-
ok, well here i am writing about the thing that excites me the most. Halloween Haunt. Im going to start this discussion for anyone who wants to express how they feel, what they think, and how the overall atratctions rate to other people. do you love going to Halloween Haunt? Can you wait till friday when it starts? I know i cant, im going to get there early so i can go strait for Urgent scare. how do you think everything will go this year over all? I havent been to the halloween season for Kings Island in forever and am looking forward to it! tell me what you think about the whole topic. do you think that the houses and mazes will be as good if not better this year than last year? what is it that intrests you about Halloween Haunt?

ok....back to this. i rode the ride saturday and yes THERE WAS A BIG SNAKE IN THE FIRST TUNNEL ON THE RIGHT but if it used to be animated, i have no clue
-
I was just talking to my mom about this and we got into discussion about it. she said that she never remembered seeing a snake even on the ride. I havent been riding this for too overly long but I also do seem to remember someone talking about the spears. I am currently going to look at the original on ride video of Adventure Express (if it is still there).

^i will agree with that..especially in nick univ. i mean COME ONE! its a kid's area..
-
^i never knew anything like that was possible to put into play for rides
-
The best line I have read on here in a while!
Thank you! Thank you!
Thatbandguy,
I understand what you mean about people screaming on lift hills. Normally when we scream on rides like AE or The Racers, or whatever...We at least wait until we go down a hill (most of the time
) We never do it to get on people's nerves. We just do it to joke around have fun!
lol yea i know. i guess i have just had bad encounters with some people. but hey, who hasnt right? i mean dont get me wrong, i scream on some of the rides too lol. i know once i get off the ride, i dont have to ever see that person again most likely in life. so i usually just deal with it. i mean the only time it really bugs me is when i get a headach but then i usually stop riding rides after that anyways. i know this is kinda off topic but, i cant wait till Halloween Haunt starts. then i know there will be tons of screaming going on lol.

My cousins, my sister, and I ALWAYS scream on Viking Fury and Adventure Express as loud as we can. We're just joking around, and sometimes we can get the whole train screaming like that, others, we're the only ones
I don't really see a problem with people screaming on rides like that to have FUN! If you want peace and quiet, go read a book in a library, you're in an AMUSEMENT PARK!!!!!!
The most hilarious comment I've ever heard someone say when we got off Adventure Express was, this stupid girl say in a snobby way "I'd hate to see them on the big rides!" It was hilarious! How can you be so stupid not to realise we were joking!
i am not telling them they cant scream. and im not simply telling them they cant have fun. i know where im at when that happened. i dont mind the screaming. the thing that i didnt care for was when i asked them if they could tone it down a little, the get louder just to prove a point. i dont tink its stupid to say what i thought on here. and if i wanted peace and quite, i wouldnt be at Kings Island. yes, i will agree, it is fun to scream on parts of the ride. but when you are going up a lift hill that is only like 50 feet tall or so and your screaming your lungs out just to get on the nerves of the person in front of you, i think that it is mean to keep doing it if you were asked to tone it down a little.

i have been to both parks. and i thought it was awesome and cool that hw had free sodas. i never heard of such a thing at a theme park. but for me, the over all feel didnt really seem like a theme park. it felt like it was a little fair connected to an awesome water park. the one show that i did see there was the diving show. that was kind of neat. but as far as ride wise, there wasnt really much that i wanted or could do. wooden coasters kill my back and since i have a back problem, i stay away from them. steel coasters dont hurt anywhere near as bad. (except for Vortex sometimes). but i would have to say hands down, Kings Island for my vote. however, i absolutely LOVED holiday world's water park. so awesome. they both have their pros and cons.

i know what some of you mean. for example, on Adventure Express for some reason i am always cursed to get the seat right in front of two teenaged girls usually around the ages of 17-19 who always have to scream their head off. one time i had one of the girls lean right behind my head and scream as loud as she could just trying to make me mad. then they started cussing up a storm. i mean come on! when i ask sometimes if they could tone it down a little they scream louder just to prove they can. i have even had 20 yr olds or older do the exact same thing. it only seems to happen to me on that ride. now if they are young like 10 or younger..i dont mind. i laugh about it. but the ones who do it just to be obnoxious just make me mad when they dont want to listen.

that place as great! i thought it was the best thing ever when i was little lol. especially the big snails. and that elephant fountain. i miss those days sometimes. i somewhere have a family video of it (unless it was broken somehow and thrown out) that we had during 1996. i would love to see some old pics of it too. especially of the tractor. the ball pit was great also..i could go on and on lol. but i bet we all could. so many long lost memories. and now look at Kings Island. somethings i absolutely miss that used to be there. but when i think about it, they changed so they can be a big competitor to other parks.
-
it would be yes, but we know that most likely wont happen. me for one, am excited about going this year, i have only been one other time when it was fear fest and liked some of the houses, i wanted to go on the trail but the line was way too long. plus not to mention we had my younger cousins with us when they were only like 4 or 5 years old.
-
in a way i agree.. i mean look at that thing..makes me wonder how high up the drop into the splashdown will be
-
k thanks...i wasn't sure what they were doing there. i noticed after i posted to the first response that that didn't make any since what so ever. i was wondering how they were going to keep that ride open with the construction going on...
-
dont worry about it being the first time. like said before, you will be nervous when in line, especially when you just get on the ride, but right after the launch, it is awesome. i used to hate roller coasters till this year and this ride is the reason why i love them now. it helped break my fear of roller coasters and is an all out fun ride. you will love it
-
k wasnt sure. i heard someting earlier today when i was there that they were moving the entrance and exit to place more footers for the new ride or something like that. then when i walked by it, they were tearing up part of the concrete there along with the bamboo trees in one spot
-
i have a question and i dont know who could help with it...but i noticed that they are redirecting the entrance and exit for the crypt...does this mean that the ride will be closed for the rest of the season while they get all of that done while putting in new footers also??? i hope not. thats one good ride
-
^ who would have known....hmmmm but no, i have heard a few of the game workers and ride ops saying they hate the job...suprisingly
-
i was there last week and while riding top gun, had one flight strait into my chest...hurt like crazy. but, depending on the time of day, i have seen a few in the morning, and around wings buffett during the afternoon, i have seen quite a few, mainly they stay in the trees now and just scream all day. every once in a while i will see one fly around and scare the crap out of the girls at the park
-
so the park is closing after the fireworks as they usually do? i have heard rumors that there was going to be extended ride times that night and then i have heard that there werent....which one is true?
-
wow...i was planning on going anyways that day..but this is a nice plus to the day!!!! WOOOHOOO now i really cant wait lol
