i for one would LOVE to see them make a return. i remember only one time seeing them perform and I have always wanted to join them ever since (even though i was only like 4 at the time lol) but yes, ever since i started band, i have always wondered where those goofy ppl went. i remember one time i ran in circles with them. it was fun, if they bring them back, i would love to audition for thm and see if i could get a job that way, im in college to become a band director so why not lol. i think it would be awesome...so for me, YES YES YES YES YES YES!!!! A MILLION TIMES!!! BRING BACK THE BAND!

i think my best on that was around 1460 or so...i usually dont leave the ride without getting around 800 minimum though. actually 150 is closer to the lower end of the point system. with each target you hit, i think you get like 30 pts or so. i usually go one on one with some of my friends that go with me every once in a while. there has only been like 1 or 2 that have beat me before. the trick is aim with the center of the gun. once i found that out...i got better lol. there is like a little nob on towards the bottom of the gun that i thought you used to aim with...but i was wrong. my old highschool band and choir is going monday and im going to meet them there and possibly challege a few of them again lol. i was thinking about going yesterday but never really made it

i used to do that too with my dad. although, he always went after me. there were only a few times when i was able to get him lol.

I too agree, Arrow has had its rises and falls, just like almost any other coaster company out there today. arrow did take risks and some of them, not great ones. but they still did have many great rides that have lasted and in my opinion, will last for many more years. personally, i Love AE and FD. espicially at night. i also agree that i think that they are part of the reasons why we have the type of coasters that we do today. someone had to take a risk in building the designs and they were willing to do it.

well I went to Kings Island yesterday on may 4th all day once again and noticed a few things. first off, I completely forgot about the early ride hours for gold pass holders, so that started the day off great. I rode two rides before 10 am. after those two rides, I went and looked at the construction site, I noticed what looked like more footers in a break run formation at the end of a ride. I also saw that the lake was completely leveled so it doesnt look like they are even going to place any bit of it back which saddens me. they had some casts set up to make more footers and saw that it looks like, (from what I could tell) that there was a strait line of footers headed towards the Crypt. I saw when I was riding the train and in line for WWC that they had taken more trees out of that area over there so im guessing that the supposed roller coaster will be going over in that direction also. at first, it looked like all of the equitpment was gone from the lake site, but when I looked at another angle, they were still there in a line. so I went and rode a few more rides, and waited in long lines for a few of them and went to get something out of my car. I noticed earlier in the morning that there was someone standing in front of the line for the Crypt so I was thinking that maybe it will open up later that day, when I was comming back from my car, I looked over to see what rides were closed for the day and the Crypt was one of them. I was sad because I was hoping to ride it again. I even saw the bikes that robby has on display there and of course took picture of them and sent them to a friend who is supposed to go with me to see him on the 24th. I had a great time and it was warm enough to ride some of the water rides so I was happy. did anyone else from here go Yesterday? if so, how did it go??

im going but im just trying to figure out how im going to see it, weather its down in the parking lot, which i will have to most likely wait there for a few hours before they even do the jump when they let people over there, or if im going to try and see it from the Eiffel Tower..

Yep. Kings Island is in its 36th year (which means that this is the 37th season they`ve been operating). However, the fact that it traces its roots back to Coney is a somewhat unique trait. The fact that Coney Island remains in operation today, is q remarkable feat in and of itself, living in the shadow of Kings Island.
In fact, this marks the 122 birthday for Coney (that is the 123 season). You may notice that that takes you to a different date then what pilotank quoted above. He quoted 1867 as the date that Coney started. That is the date that James Parker purchased his apple orchard on the banks of the Ohio River. Coney did not receive its name until Parker sold the property for $17,500 to the Ohio Grove Corporation in 1886. It was that year that the park was renamed Ohio Grove: The Coney Island of the West. The following season, the Ohio Grove portion of the name was dropped, and the park was thenceforth known as Coney Island.
very interesting tidbit..thanks for sharing. didnt know that.

While it's not necessarily a frightening experience for me, as it happened Saturday on Adventure Express, I'd prefer that it not happen.
For one, what if there's severe weather in the area when this is happening? What if I need to use the bathroom? Or better yet, I'd like to simply do something else?!
i think i was on that ride too lol...yea it sucked..i was just thinking right before i read ur comment..unless your on AE and its at the very end on that lift hill. it has only happened to me once, and concerning the person who keeps getting stuck on the rides, tell me when you are going to the park and what rides at what time you are going to ride them so i can stay clear of them lol jk. sry just had to add that in there.

Ahh the old days, when theme parks were theme parks, and new additions were surprises, when rides weren't ads.
Good times, good times.
lol. i agree. but we know that wont come back soon.

it also depends on how bad its raining. i know when i went to opening day that it was raining but not too hard so they kept the rides open. yesterday while driving in the rain, i noticed how strong it was coming down and thought of Kings Island closing the rides down until it softened up a little bit. some of the coasters i can agree on shutting down because of their speed. i remember one year a friend and i decided to see who could take more pain and so we decided to go 70 mph down the highway with it raining and we shoved our arms out of the car when it was storming...that hurt lol..but what im getting at is depending on some of the ride's speeds, it would hurt riding them in the rain if it was comming down strong enough

i drove 2 hours from Indianapolis to go to ki for a couple of hours. We drove up at 6:50 and were told the park was closing at 7. We still got one ride on Delirium in though, it felt awful as the rain pelted us. Did anyone else notice that Delirium is kind of shaking at the top of its rotation. The day wasn't totally spoiled though, we drove to Jungle Jim's and checked out the former ki monorail. it is set to open this summer. Does anyone know why they have 7 trains, when it looks like they can only run one?
its mainly because he bought all of the trains along with the track from Kings Island when they sold it

lol u beat me to it again oh well.
