  1. I havent been able to login to the app for over a year now... If I try to log in or sign up I just get the loading circle and that's as far as it's gone... I had it up for 30 min earlier this year to see if it would eventually load... It never did

  2. Ever since they added Banshee I have agreed that they should go for a "spooky" or "haunted" theme for AZ. They could open up blackout as a year round haunted house (either rethemed or kept as is) and have Wolfpack open up as well as something else but keeping the Forrest theme/feel. I feel like they would never get rid of timberwolf though as it is their concert venue. Yes it is only used once or twice a year but when it is used, it does bring in crowds. I would only see it go if they built a new updated venue somewhere else in the park. Where it would go I'm not sure but with that and removing Invertigo and Congo (either complete removing or relocating it somewehere else in the park) it would open up a huge new space for another major attraction. If it is all turned into Oktoberfest, I do agree the AZ portion should be more themed towards the Black Forest. I have wanted this for many years but doubt it will ever happen. I mostly want it though because Halloween is my favorite time of year.

  3. I guess I never truly realized how almost every turn is taken at a 90 degree Bank...this thing looks insane and I can't wait until it opens. I used to be one of those who was a little disappointed after hearing that it's the smallest giga coaster but after looking at the entire track layout for the last 30 minutes, I'm really excited. I figured this would be a good coaster but it may possibly make it into my top five...

  4. My wife and I both worked in Action Zone back in 2011. I worked on Express while she worked at Skyflyer. During what the park calls "fun week" (the week where they go full operation but school is still in session) she would be sent to my ride. We got to know each other while talking in the mornings before the park opened. At one point I had a feeling of "I'm gonna meet this girl's mother and I'm not sure why yet". Shortly after she asked me out on our first date to hang out at the park after we both got off work that day. Soon after we became official during a rides night for the employees on June 23,2011. A few years later we ended up getting married in July of 2015. I never wanted to go back to Kings Island to work that year but felt like I was being drawn back for some reason. Now I know that reason lol. I even remember during my first year orientation that one speaker said "you never know, you may meet your special someone while working here at the park". I thought to myself "yeah that's never going to happen". Glad I was wrong. That definitely was the best year I had working at Kings Island.

  6. While I personally don't see them doing a 420 ft+ drop I really think that would be awesome. I am hoping for a height of around 350 ft tall but after that everything else is just icing on the cake. I would like to see them try for the length record as well but I won't be disappointed if they don't go for it. I'd just like the coaster to be taller than Fury. In all honesty though I would take a giga of any height over not getting one at all. As for the name if they do go with either Polaris or Orion, I think Orion would fit better as far as a theme especially in the x base area of the park. It will be interesting if they do end up expanding that part of the park for another true "themed area" or just close it off again with a coaster much like they did with Firehawk. Although I'm not sure what most people would be more excited about back there. Them putting in another coaster or if they finally decide to put bathrooms in back there. We could hope/dream that they do both right?

  7. I don’t think we’ll start seeing teasers until they start work where Firehawk plot was.

Removing that red building could also open up a larger plaza area and maybe a... wait for it... bathroom?!
:o dare we dream??? it would be really nice if they finally build one back there. I am so excited for all of this

  8. Carnevil is/was the anchor haunt for the area.... I’m wondering if there is room in the area for a permanent swing building to store the haunt? Maybe the haunt itself is far enough to the left of the main theater as not to cause an issue and will remain hidden from the kiddies watching the show?
There wasnt much space between the haunt walls and the stage. Definitely not enough to have people sit in front of the stage. They used that area as a "green room" for the costumers to get into the peanuts costumes for meet and greets. When I worked in carnevil I would sometimes go onto the stage to watch some areas of the maze (I was a crew chief). Sadly it sounds like carnevil will either move or has completely left. Don't quote me on that though. I have no insider info, just my guess.

  9. ^ that and if i remember right (which i could be wrong) i think on the website it says you have to pay the $15 fee plus sign a waiver. I agree, it depends on how much they limit the sessions....guess we will see in time :) if nothing else it should be fun sitting by the fountains and watching people try to skate and hearing the Christmas music.

  10. the ice skating is something that I will have to look at first before i decide to fork over the money....i usually only go skating once a year and i know ive only paid a couple of dollars at a hockey rink vs the $15 that ki is charging.....I may do it once just to say i got to skate on the fountains but that would be it.....I probably wont be doing it the first time i go though...i plan on visiting at least twice. Plus i would want to see how crowded it actually gets before i see if i wanna go out there. there have been a few times where i have gone skating and been pulled down my someone else when it is crowded because they are falling and have taken me down with them causing sprains before. granted it has only happened a few times and is rare, most of the time it was from me falling down because i hit a spot where a chunk of the ice was missing from a previous person falling. I agree with whoever said they are thinking of doing the last time slot. that way if an injury does happen, i can just go to the car afterwards and not be in pain while walking around the park from being accidentally knocked down or from me causing myself to fall down lol.

  11. Lots of food on the meal plan, really looking forward to the buffet. I'm taking a wild guess and hoping the buffet is in the international street restaurant. Never been up there, really want it to be there.
I was surprised at how much was on the meal plan as well including the buffet! That really surprised me. I figured that would be something I'd pay for at least once but doesn't look like I'd have to after all. I'm actually really excited for this event. I usually don't care too much for the Christmas season mainly because I feel like it has become so commercialized and actually brings the bad out in people when they are shopping for their gifts. I have seen full on brawls from people fighting over a toy before. This just might actually get me into the spirit for the holiday :) I was reading some of the things they will have to my wife and even she is excited about it. The one gripe I have though is the $15 fee for ice skating. It seems a little steep to me for ice skating when there are many other places that I have found that only cost $5 to skate. Granted I know, it's in a theme park and on the royal fountains and not in a hockey rink. I may do it once not sure yet. I'd rather spend my money on the food and gifts honnestly though. That's just me.

  12. Is has been down to 2 trains for a while. Someone else may know what year the third train was removed.
They removed the third train in 09 due to the seat belts being added ... It slowed the operators down with having an extra thing to check and it would cause the trains to stack constantly.. They would stack to the point one would be stopped on the final lift hill and because of that the ride would e-stop itself. This was my first year working at the park and by the second weekend of operation they decided to remove the third train. They still have the third train but it stays in storage. They rotate the trains out each season and completely rebuild one so there is a "new train" on the ride every year. If you look closely you will notice that sometimes they will run trains 1 and 3 and then the next year they will run trains 1 and 2 for example.

  13. I was able to ride MT three times yesterday and I have to say I had a blast with it... First time I rode it I was in the middle of the train on the left side. I had a feeling before anything was released about what was actually in the shed that it would mostly just be projection screens. The first ending I got were the bats. The second time I got the front row on the right and got the supposed rare tree ending which was neat to see. The third time I rode it was for my night ride and was row three right side and got the bats again. After riding it three times I have to say I love the ride itself. It is a lot more fun than I thought it would be for me (usually don't ride wooden coasters because of my back) it was extremely smooth and loved all of the side to side action. It seems to go faster than the 53mph speed Stat and I know it is because of all of the turns. I just figured that I wouldn't get to ride it because I don't have a great history with wooden coasters and was fine with that because it meant there was something fun for everyone else to enjoy and help out with the lines of the stuff I do ride.... When some of you told me how smooth it really was I knew I had to try and ride it... I am so glad I did. Best part about it is the longest I waited yesterday was 30 min for the ride.

  14. Found this while browsing through comments on Facebook. Is this true about Red's if this is true I might consider a new place to eat988f05538e1c98e4c6e5384014782ee2.jpg

EDIT: I never noticed that there is a thread for the food places at KI, sorry for posting in this thread

I'm not sure if anyone has commented on this yet but yes you do stand in line to order your food (the grilled chicken sandwich was wonderful) and then find a seat... The only reason why the line was long is cause the kids were still learning their registers... (15 year old newbies) they felt bad about the lines and my cashier apologied to me about the wait that it was his first day.... I felt like I stood in line the same amount of time that I did for other places to eat on preview night so it really wasn't that bad honestly
