  1. guess i just havent really listened closely then lol..well plus the reason why i havent heard them in years is cause i would only come once a year and that would be before they shows were open lol...my bad..oh well. but yea, ture..stupid for me thinking of how they played the music lol..good point

  2. Don't they have like a park wide PA system to make an announcement that the park will be closing so EVERYONE knows at one time rather than relying on people hearing it word of mouth from ride operators?

i know they used to in the park..but weather they still have it or it works who knows.

  3. thanks for the info..im just trying to see cause all of my friends are jelous that i have a season pass..i live in indiana and have a choice to either go to holiday world, six flags KK or Kings Island and i choose Kings Island over all of them..and my friends agree..was just wondering

  4. thats true. i like that ride. it always pumped me up.The Racers never has a big line

never have ridden The Racer..plus i dont really ride wodden rides that much cause they tend to kill my back. had major back surgery when i was 15. hard to believe it was almost 5 years ago..but yea, i can ride a wooden coaster, but then have to quit for almost the whole day. how smooth is The Racer anyways. i know there was a post about this exact question and i looked at it..but im trying to get more opinions lol

  5. I think it's about as good as it's gonna get I don't know what else they can really add to improve it much more without spending a ton of $$$ however some type of strobe light effect durring one of the double/tripple spins would be sweet.

THANK YOU THAT IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN SAYING..ok im off the caps now..lol. but yea, i have said that exact same thing..it would be awesome if they used a strobe for one of the big flips during the ride..i know that would 1, scare the crap out of me and 2, be so awesome that would be the only thing i would remember. yes i know they may not cause it can cause seizures with guests but, at the same time, that ride could be enough to give someone a seizure..lol..

  6. Well if they were considering closing the park don't you think they owe the park patrons a little more notice than 1/2 an hour?

even though i do agree with interpreter, i also kinda agree with you..half an hour is not really that long of a notice for a theme park..usually they give u an hour at least notice..but who knows. it must have been more than just the weather or something then.

  7. As of May 2nd the Crypt was running VERY WELL! They finally have the lights on some sort of timer and have better music than the crappy techno stuff. For some reason I thought it was a much better ride today than last weekend! Although the robotic dragon or whatever it is was NOT working today.

well at least it wasnt annoying the crap out of people then lol..but huh...sounds like it has started to get better then..i was gonna def. check it out next weekend when a few friends went with me to celebrate my birthday but i now cant wait to see what type of music they have and see how the lights are working now...it may just get better and better...(and to think i dont really care for rides that go upside down...if thats the case THEN WHY DO I LOVE THIS RIDE? lol. guess cause im insane)

  8. Again, with all due respect, Cedar Fair is a business...and a business deep in debt. EVERY seasonal park chain closes its parks when attendance is extremely low. Paramount Parks did it (including on opening day one year), Six Flags does it (and has at Great Adventure at least once so far this year), PARC does it, even Disney has been known to do it once or twice (though it is VERY rare there).

i remember hearing about disney doing that once i think...lol..i was shocked

  9. IF there is such an event this year, the details will be announced here....

ok thanks for the info! i will of course keep comming to this site for updates, and the forums of course lol

  10. Awww that stinks. They could have at least given you a heads up a long time before they decided to close at 7. I wonder why they did anyways. Weather?

thats the only thing that i could think of. thats what i said on another forum like this one just a few min ago. was that they might have looked at the radar and saw what either was or might be comming their way and decided to just go ahead and close the rest of the park down early. also possibly cause of what sounds like low attendance but since i didnt go, im not completely sure lol.

  11. YEP IM IN HIGH SCHOOL AND WE CANT WORK RIGHT NOW SO GET USE TO NO LOTS OF WORKERS RIGHT NOW

I hope they still teach punctuation and how to use the shift key in high school these days.

    Sigh.

lol it will be ok interpreter...plus with me just being out of high school since june, im sure that college will help with that ;) but who knows. guess it all depends on where u go to school and what college you go to...

  12. I'm not trying to be rude but if a family member would like to visit there family members grave would KI charge them for parking.

 That made me Giggle! HAHA I never even knew there was a cemetary located at Kings Island! But Really, I see no point in relocating it.

same here i had no clue lol

  13. I know there are supposed to be more thunderstorms on the way for this area (Kings Island) which they may have just looked at the radar and saw what could be or might be comming towards the park so they closed it down...otherwise, i dont know lol. i was hoping to go today but didnt get the chance to. at least i KNOW i will be going next weekend for my birthday lol

  14. how DO u get tickets to the kic event? i have heard some ppl talk about it but never even really asked how u get the tickets lol..think it would be pretty neat to do that

  15. Interesting....having ridden all four of the US Premier LIM-launched Flight of Fear type rides, I have not observed any such weakness in the launches of Poltergeist or Joker's Jinx. I dare say the launch needs to be the speed it is to properly negotiate the track without valleying....I have ridden Poltergeist only a relative few times, but I have ridden Joker's Jinx many, many times...and see no substantial difference between it and the Flights of Fear, until you hit what would be the midcourse brake...if Joker's Jinx had one...

Also, according to rcdb.com, the Flights of Fear do 54 miles per hour, while Poltergeist and Joker's Jinx do 60mph!

yea on rcdb it says 54 then im trying to remember which site but then another one says 58 for the same ride lol...so im just guessing its around 55 mph on average lol

  16. For what it is worth, neither Joker's Jinx nor Poltergeist even have mid-course brakes!

BUT I've talked to guys about these two other rides and they say the launch/first half on FoF is WAY more intense than on Polter/JJ. They call it "Pansy mode" haha

lol might be. wouldnt know havent been on either of those yet. hoping to go on pol though next time im down in SA seeing family..my aunt lives like 5 min from SFFT
