  1. Wood coasters get rough over time.  Right now with the wood is still brand new so the ride is extremely smooth.  I would compare it to Diamondback.  Millennium Flyer trains will help keep it that way but it will get rougher in the future.  A large part of this in the future is park maintenance as well since they need to go in, recognize and replace damaged wood.

Wow thanks :) will most likely be trying it next weekend then!!! I'm more excited now than I have been for this coaster all off season lol

  2. Thanks guys... May have to ride it next weekend... I'm not gonna try to say since it like me like 4-6hr lines today... Not gonna have a lot of time at the park today since we are having our Easter celebration today since my wife and I work tomorrow (yay third shift)

  3. So I have a question for everyone. How "rough" would you say this ride is? Is it a little rougher than Vortex or less so? I know with it being a woodie it will jerk ya around.. Just trying to figure out if I would be able to get away with riding it with how my back is or if I should just pass.. Originally I was just gonna pass on it since it is a wooden coaster but with all of the excitement and others saying how it's really smooth it has me wondering just how smooth... It wouldn't be until next week before I ride it at the earliest if I decide to

  4. I've seen a few of you guys walking around but haven't been able to get over and say hi in passing.... My wife and I are here... I'm in a blue camo shirt with white shorts and white sunglasses.... If you see me feel free to say hi

  5. The smell is from a fire retardant that they spray on the walls and such so in case if a fire breaks out the entire thing won't go up in mass flames. It is horrible until it gets aired out... I remember when I worked in Carnevil that it was horrible smelling throughout because of the stuff.

  6. Thank you Bruce..... I wasn't sure if I heard it correctly or not. I haven't had a chance to watch the full announcement yet since I don't have Internet at home (sad I know). I have seen a lot of negative remarks about this ride already but I've also seen some positive ones... As I have said before I'm happy and excited for it even though I won't end up riding the ride for one main reason..... It will help make the other lines shorter for the rides I do ride. I am still very excited to see what the other announcement will be.

  7. I found it interesting that Greg said that they would announce the second attraction once all of the details are finalized... I don't remember if he actually used the word attraction or not for the second announcement as I only quickly watched a video of the announcement while on my lunch break at work. Either way it surprised me that there are two new things for next year... Hopefully the second announcement isn't just them saying they are revamping an area of the park that needs it and it's actually something exciting. Maybe it will be our new dark ride coming? One could hope :) the only reason why I still ride boo blasters is because it's indoors and it's one of the only rides my wife can still ride. At first I thought it could be an announcement for haunt or something like that but then remembered this is for next season not the end of this season. Maybe a new restaurant up in the IR area? Guess we shall see in a few weeks :) I for one am excited about what all has been said so far even though I can't ride the new coaster.

  8. You should be able to fit on Adventure Express, Bat and Vortex with no problems. Those rides are very accommodating and are made by the same company. As others have said some of the bigger rides have test seats that you can try. I know when I used to work there we would let guests come up the exit and try to see if they could fit in the seat before getting in line as someone else has said. Hope you have an awesome day at the park and as Magenta said if there is something you don't fit on don'tet it ruin your day. A lot of fun can still be had :)

  9. They still shoot them off at 10:00 yes... And the best part about it is after the fireworks the last two hours are dead in the park because most ppl don't realize the park is still open. Makes for great night rides with very short to no lines at all... I had a ride one sat night where I was literally the only one on the entire train riding Bat.

  10. I really wish I could be there tonight but I have to work... I can't wait to see the info on my first break around 12:00 am... Hopefully someone will have uploaded the entire announcement by then or by 2:30 am so I can watch it during my lunch break tonight.... I'm very excited about this announcement even though I can't ride wooden coasters and will never ride this ride most likely. 13 hrs until the reveal.... And with that note I think I'm headed to bed soon.

  11. Wow a lot has happened in this thread since the last time I checked it, both good and bad.... I as well don't really see the "hidden numbers and letters". As far as the guessing on the stats, my guess would be something like this...

    Height:120

    Lenghth: between 3,200-3,500 ft.

    Speed: 64-65 mph?

    Drop: between 100-110ft.

Not really sure on any of it though. Just my guess, I'm sure I don't know as much as others with this since wooden coasters don't really interest me (yay back problems) however I am excited regardless of it being a wooden coaster. Just means a possibility of other lines being a little smaller for the things I do ride, not to mention this coaster might be nice to look at (what we will be able to see of it anyways). I just wish I could make it to the announcement but I work third shift so I will be starting work as the announcement starts :( someone please record it and post it somewhere so I can watch it later on at some point so I can feel like I was there :)

Last part of my post I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to go take the pics and post them here. It makes me excited to see the progress that has been going on.

  12. I'm someone who doesn't like to do this type of stuff and this may be my first time ever doing this. Anyway, I was on WindSeeker, well almost, and somebody completely disregarded that they have a seat number and took the seats I had. I decided to not say anything and walk away. When I was walking away this really started bugging me. So I walked back and said, "Thanks for taking our seats." Then walked away while they were yelling remarks that I really don't and shouldn't repeat on this site.

Was walking back and saying something a okay thing to do? What are your guys' opinions, and what would you have done (or have done)?

I would tell a ride operator about it and they should be able to resolve it.

  13. If this really is a wooden coaster which it looks like it is, I for one am not disappointed or upset even though I don't ride wooden coasters (mainly because I can't ride them due to back problems) .... To me that just means that there is a possibility of smaller lines on the coasters that I do ride :) whatever addition ki adds I'm always happy because think about it.... We are actually lucky to get something new almost every year....even though I won't ride it I will still enjoy that it is at the park because I like to people watch as well... I do agree I feel like ki needs a newer up to date wooden coaster and I feel like this will make many wooden coaster enthusiasts happy.

  14. I do have to admit, I really did not think this was going to be a coaster at all but while I have been sitting back and just reading for the longest time I might have to start leaning towards team coaster..... I have been wanting KI to get a giga for so long but figured it would be a lite longer before we would be getting one. No I'm not saying I know it's a giga because I don't at all. I'm definitely going to have to look at all of the clearing when I go Friday since I have only been to the park twice so far this year. I'm starting to get really excited with what is going on.

  15. I remember freaking out last July when I heard it actually working. It about brought a tear to my Eyes. This excites me and I cannot express how much all of us are thankful for what you are doing. I have a home video from a ki trip back in '92 that my parents made and I watch it sometimes just to hear the organ play. I cannot wait to hear it progress and get better and better throughout the season/seasons to come
