one word, SIZE.  The immersion of Les Taxi and OOL took you away from everything. As the attraction got older the trees were bigger and it enhanced it.  

The number of people who had issues beg to differ. It is a little rude to totally dismiss all of them. I did everything you suggested and more. I never got the button to purchase the tickets.
It could have been a certain version of a browser that the people with issues had that never allowed the button to show or just how the page updated as Malem mentioned before. 

I work in ecommerce web development. It’s a common thing to have this implemented. I had the same issue because I was on the page before 10. I closed my browser and was able to get right in and buy a ticket. On chrome. Sure there might have been some small percentage that had cache issues but I guarantee you that 98% of the people having issues with the button not showing were already on the page and just refreshing. I deal with this stuff everyday at work.

There was no issue. This is set on the backend of the store site. It basically purges those who show up early. Refreshing does nothing as your session is still there. You needed to close your browser or switch to another one. 

Nope. I think they are hoping for approval for foreign workers.

Wonder if Coasterstock will be open to any coaster fan this year (like CP CoasterMania is doing this season) or still exclusive to only members of park selected coaster clubs.   

You must be a member of an approved coaster club to attend Coasterstock this year, the same as the previous years.

I've had a discussion with someone involved with coaster engineering. Their reply to me was It could run with reduced trims if they switched to a different trains and reinforced certain sections with steel. The PTC trains are the thing that does most of the damage to The Beast. There is a lot that could be done with The Beast. Depends on how much $$ CF wants to spend on it. New trains are not cheap. 

Something to consider. CF has been dumping a lot of money to internal improvements and paint on everything around the chain just like someone getting ready for a house eval before putting up for sale. May be something, may be nothing. I seriously hope this does not happen. This would be horrible for Kings Island.

Pine trees grow pretty quick and don't suffer from ask borer beetle.

Options are on the table still. What has me scratching my head is how they don’t know what caused it yet. I mean it’s been 5 months. You have to wonder if they know what caused it and are deciding if they want to put money into modifying a 20 year old steel coaster that already has issues with its launch system and is down a lot??

I guess time will tell.

I agree with another member who posted in this thread. It was like a portal that took you to another land. That is what they are missing. The immersion of themed areas. That is why Universal and Disney do so well. 

KI needs to separate Planet Snoopy and Rivertown again as well as isolate other areas.

KI began as a resort but has morphed into a regional park.  So they rely on season pass holders.  I mean, it's Cincinnatti.  Nothing really to do there except go to KI, eat chili, see a game and go to IKEA.

That would be CINCINNATI. And there is a lot more to do than KI, chili, ball and IKEA.

Actually Racer did have its track shifted at some bents. You can see how the ledgers (long pieces of wood that the track sits atop) have been shifted down here... the old locations of the ledgers are the brown spots on the white posts.

The Racer had as much as 3ft trimmed in track elevation in some spots. 

I never had a problem with roughness on The Beast. Some people said they thought the wheel seats were rough, but I never had an issue.

I honestly don’t know who they were marketing this towards. Not many people collect pens anymore. I think the price point is kinda high. I feel they could have produced something else that would be appeasing to a larger demographic. To each their own.

I'm surprised they haven't made any official blog post about it, considering they did one for The Racer retracking in mid November. We'll certainly see an announcement sooner or later, just not sure when! 
Either way, really excited to see what the park does with it. 

More info will be revealed soon. Patience.
I would love to see the GG Timberliners on The Beast. It would allow for a smoother and faster ride without the banging around the PTCs do. And yes, the Timberliners will fit and operate on The Beast. This was told to me by a very reputable source.
