  1. haha slaughterhouse was a good time. i was a celebrity haha. smile.gif

You sure were. Of course, going through a haunt that many times will do that! laugh.gif

haha i know. But this year i'll have to stick with Scarowinds. :) every weekend.

  2. Bring a friend for free? If it's bring a friend free, then I am completely against it and hope Kings Island doesn't do it. It would just overcrowd an event that tends to be overcrowded on certain nights as is. The thought of bring a friend free on a Saturday night for Haunt is truly frightening.

On another note, I hope Kings Island's Halloween Haunt website is different from Carowinds. That hand knocking on the screen was okay the first 10 times it did it, it eventually got really annoying and made certain words hard to read.

Nonono. It's not FREE but it's at quite a discount. I'm not 100% positive on the exact price of their Halloween Haunt, but if it's what it says on the website the normal price is $42. For bring a friend days, they're mostly every day and depending on the day its either $15 or $19. Which is a pretty nice discount. Only one guest per platinum/gold pass though. But still. I'm kinda worried about the crowds it will bring. I have never been to scarowinds and plan on going every weekend so we shall see how crowded it gets.

  3. OMGZZZZZZZ I LOVE SEA WORLD. haha. yeah, besides that, the stadium you're are talking of was/is used depending on the time. It used to be used for ski shows but they dont do them anymore. Sometimes they do children's shows in it, like i remember last time i was there they had an elmo show going on.

  4. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Sea World is officially my favorite place in the world. I have been there every year of my life and done absolutely EVERY program, tour they have to offer. Go to shows as early in the day as possible because of the fact, many of them fill up during the day and if you dont get there early you don't get a seat!! My personal favorite is the Shamu show, I have cried every time I've seen it (even after going to every Shamu show in one day). I even have taped versions of every show.

And for the comment with the animals. THE ANIMALS ARE VERY WELL TAKEN CARE OF. Their food is actually resturant quality and sometimes better than what we can actually get. The animals aren't made to perform, they're asked. If they don't want to actually perform at that time, they don't have to. They aren't punished for it.

  5. (off topic) Working with sea animals or doing something like the trainers at Sea World do has been something I thought about in life (training/helping sea mammals). I just don't look at it as a major option for me because I'm sure the opprtunities are limited and I don't really know what it would take.

Lol. Yeah, I realize how small the opportunities are for working with them. I have been involved with working with marine animals my entire life. Every vacation I went to the aquariums where we were at. Trainer for a day, Marine mammal keeper experience, discovery cove, numerous vip tours at sea world and aquariums, working with the manatees at the cincinnati zoo. Biggest impact of my life is going to Sea World Camp. We really had the entire experience of what it was like to work there. Cleaning buckets all day, it was a dream come true. And then being able to specialize in whale training was even better because I was able to get even closer to the Whales. And yet, I sit here wondering why i'm at Miami University for Business Economics. Haha. All of this has made me realize I NEED to transfer to actually go for my dream with working with marine animalas.

  6. Ok. This is just my thoguhts on this, and since i'm extremely passionate about this, this might end up being a long post. I have wanted to train killer whales since i was three years old. Long story that goes into just that part. I have gone to Sea World every year of my life. So, I myself have been able to work with many animals at sea world including the Killer Whales. They aren't doing these shows just to show off, they're doing the shows to inform the audience. And yes, I do admit that since the Believe show came out, it has been more geared towards the trainers, the whales are showing and teaching us. I have learned that anything is possible if you believe, because I was actually able to work with the Killer Whales for the past two years, and even got to do something that many trainers dont get to do: I've gotten to hug a Killer Whale twice. ALl the trainers realize that there will always be risks with these animals. Just like I realized that hugging the Killer Whale would cause great risk to my life, I'm going to kneel down on the scale for the Killer Whale right at the waters edge and put my arms completley around it. Keet, the whale could've easily taken me in with it. It's not easy at all to become a trainer, I have worked most of my life at trying to become one. And even if you do become one, it takes more than 5 years before you actually can get in the water with the whales. There has to be a bond there. Even if a bond is set up, animals still have their days. Some animals just dont want to perform. Tillikum, the whale in this case was definatley a special one. It's the largest whale there, and the trainers aren't allowed in the water with him becuase of his size and power. He's only in the shows to splash, not to interact. The future of Tillikum is definately uncertain, I highly doubt he will be released in the wild because of the fact that he has lived in captivity most of his life, but the question of if they're going to relocate him is just a question that will come in time.

  7. I have been at Sea World days on end and still miss it. I remember 2 years ago I went to Sea World Orlando 5 days straight, and also that year i lived at Sea World San Antonio for 10 days straight, and then last year i lived at Sea world San Antonio for 7 days straight. I also went to Sea World Orlando last month just for one day, we did the VIP tour, and still didnt get to see everything the park has to offer.

  8. Rough estimate around 90 times at ki. Then again, some of those visits were 10 minutes after i got off work at 9 PM and the park closed at 10. It was pretty much wake up and go everyday this summer.

Sea World San Antonio - 7

    Sea World Orlando - 1

    Universal Orlando - 1

    Cedar Point - 2

  9. There are soo many memories this year.

    -Meeting everyone from KI

-Riding Diamondback (front row)at 1 AM on RWW after not getting on seat

-THE ACTUAL EXPERIENCE OF THE DECEIT OF GETTING ME BACK ON Diamondback

-Riding skyflyer for the first time (and then the 100 plus times more)

-Riding slingshot and cussing the entire time

-Going to Halloween Haunt and running through the same haunts over and over talking to all the people

-Kicking everyone's butt at Scooby Doo

    -Gummy Whales

-Going to Kings Island 15 minutes before it closes

    -Parties in the parking lot

-Getting stuck on soo many rides with my best friend

-Walking through the park wrapped up in a blanket with my best friend
