OMG! Its soooo pretty there! And kinda scary how close you got to those bears!! Did you see any whales or anything?
-
during the week.. i've never had an issue with getting on rides. Longest wait time was Firehawk for me and that was 30 minutes... Otherwise, walk on
-
i've never used sun block on my lips hah. I didnt think id get a burn, but after coming home i did get red on my shoulders.
-
i purchased mine in October......... lol
-
Haha.. WE DID IT, WE DID IT, WE DID IT HOORAY!!
Indeed...it's a small world after all....Terpy, happy just thinking about that last one...

The Dora Show is gone from the list!
What was it Terpy Said:
Perhaps, perhaps not.Send in the characters,
There ought to be characters
And now it's 2010!
But i love the Dora Show...
"I love my boots, my boots and me. They help me swing from tree to tree. I got some happy rhythm in my feet, i love my boots yah my boots and me.."
DONT ASK HOW I CAN REMEMBER THAT.... i went too many times to that show.. I can sing along to it.
-
last year i went over 70 times... and itll probably be the same this year!! haha
-
At 36 seconds in, does anyone else hear the PA guy say "KGB"?
yes i did!
-
That is sweet. I might just have to check that out!!!!
-
Attack? That doesn't bother me nearly as much as the idea of them making airborne deposits on Terpy's head. An occasion that has happened twice in this life so far, both times in the parking lot at Cedar Point!
Hehe. Well it was coming down too. But im speedy quick!!
-
That is so awesome that you had a chance to go down there. I would have never left the beach.. I could sit on the sand all day long and just listen to the seagulls' plaintive cries, and the waves washing against the shore. I've never heard anything more calming than that.
AHHHHHHH every time you walked all the sea gulls flew over your head. pretty scary though. you never know if they might come attack you

You left out one of the things that you told me was one of the highlights of your trip.. the It'Sugar candy shop!
FINE.. Here you go.. It'Sugar candy shop was AMAZING.. They had every single color of M&M, every flavor of Jelly Bellys. You could make your own chocolate bar. Every type of candy was available!! Also, they had all the merchandise for the different types of candy.. IT WAS AMAZINGGGGGGGG!

Very nice. Brings back a lot of old memories. Â Â I haven't been to MB for almost 10 years
Haha. I like Orlando better. We went to Myrtle Beach 2 years ago and then the year before that.. Theres not as much to do in Myrtle Beach than in Florida.

I love Skip and Joe!!

I think its kinda wierd that KI has that "girl space" store that sells a lot of things for girls rooms, (mostly junk), but yet they have a horrible selection of womens and girls shirts. I agree CP has a way better selection of apparel merchandise, hopefully the new Diamondback Giftshop will carry some decent womens apparel
Treading carefully here:
Do you mean women's apparel for decent people or do you mean apparel for women that's decent?
(Terpy, deserving an answer of Yes, tee hee)
Wow.. It pretty much just means, something that women would like to wear. No more black tee-shirts with boyish designs. Maybe make some things more femine or at least look better when wearing. Girl space is pretty much for little girls into princesseee like stuff.

Great PTR, and I love your narrative!
Why thank you! That was one of the memorable parts of the trip!
-
We DROVE through NC... Quite boring.. I hate going through mountains from NC to TN!!!!! BORING.. and kinda hurts my ears
-
Good PTR! I haven't been to MB in quite a while now! Btw, why no pics of a vacant HRP??Then we went to "the best mall in Knoxville" and it really did live up to its name. The stores in that mall were twice the size of the ones in Cincinnati
By chance do you remember the name of what mall this was??
Knoxville Mall... I believe. Haha we went past it on the way home, it was sad..... I could only see one roller coaster. So we were driving home at 6 AM and i was tired so no pictures of HRP. Sorry

Very nice trip report! Did you get to swim in the ocean or pool or was it just too cold for it?
Ocean was way too cold. I walked in it though. I was always at the indoor pools/hottubs. There was 1 hottub, 1 pool, 1 lazy river outside but inside there was 2 hottubs, 1 pool and 1 lazy river. I liked swimming inside. The last day i did go in the outdoor hottub as well as sunbathe outside. When we left it was about 70. But on one of the days it was record low for Myrtle Beach.

DAY 6:
Finally started to warm up. Went to Pizza Hut for lunch. Got the Pizza Hut Buffett, it was one on the worst buffetts ever. There was ABSOLUTELY NO PIZZA on the buffet. People kept having to go up and ask them to make more. Went to Tanger Outlets to go shopping. Then went to Friendly's for ice cream. No service, sat there for 20 minutes with no help, finally moved and got some help. Funny thing is the lady in the front trying to sell amusement tickets. We walked in and she asked,"Are you guys on vacation?" we said yes and continued in. When we were leaving she asked us the same thing and we said, "Yep! STILL on vacation!" Sorry. I dont have any pictures from today. But Day 7 has so many pictures so get ready!
DAY 7:
Alligator Adventures. I have been there 4 times already. There are so many alligators there its crazy. So enjoy some pictures
. After that we went to House of Blues for dinner, some of the best BBQ ribs i've ever had. And then went shopping at barefoot landing for the last night.
Beavers!
This is Bob. He was born without a tail so he must be kept in his own personal private exhibit.
GOT GATORS?
THE END! I HOPE YOU ENJOYED MY PTR TO MYRTLE BEACH!

DAY 4:
Quite uneventful day. We went to Hard Rock Cafe for lunch, i had the twisted mac n cheese, which is grilled chicken and macaroni and cheese. Very good!.. And then me and my brother went to go see Fired up!
DAY 5:
Today we went to Broadway at the Beach to shop. It was pretty much like ghost-town. Very quite. After shopping, we went to Senor Frogs to eat lunch, I had the lettuce chicken wraps, which were AMAZING!! And then for dinner it was Margaritville. Not the best service, told we would be waiting for 10-15 minutes, yet it took over 35 minutes to be seated. I had the club sandwich.
They walk around the restraunt there holding signs and i got the: I am available sign haha.
Every hour a bottle comes out of the hurricane and fills up the blender beneath it

DAY 3:
Day three we went to Ripley's Aquarium. It's not the largest aquarium but its quite nice. Petting tank so you can touch the horse-shoe crabs and also a tank where you can touch sting rays. I absoutely love aquariums and have been to way too many lol.
The newest exhibit they put in:
Inside is an actual baby tiger shark
Over the shark tank:
The dive show:
After Ripley's Aquarium we went to Giant Crab for Dinner. Its a sea-food buffett with over 120 items so theres quite a lot of variety.. Quite expensive though $30 pp... And i dont eat seafood... I just liked the Crab on the front of the restraunt

Great TR. I haven't been to MB for several years, and your report is really making me miss it!!
lol. Thanks, but theres a lot more left that i have to finish lol!
-
Ok... So i went to Myrtle Beach last week for my brother's spring break. So this is my trip report. Its going to take me a while to finish it, so itll be coming in sections lol.. ENJOY!
BTW IF YOU WANT TO USE ANY PIC PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND ILL GET YOU A COPY OF IT! Thanks
DAY 1:
We left at about 2 PM to drive to Knoxville, TN so we'd be about half way to Myrtle Beach, SC. It was miserable weather and raining the entire drive. Stopped at Olive Garden for dinner, had the Mezzaluna with grilled chicken (quite yummy
). Then we went to "the best mall in Knoxville" and it really did live up to its name. The stores in that mall were twice the size of the ones in Cincinnati
DAY 2:
We left at about 8 AM to finish up the drive. There were cows outside our hotel moo-ing all night so that sucked. We stopped at McDonalds for lunch. Arrived at our hotel after an issue with our GPS because there are two hotels at the same address, just different parts of Myrtle Beach. Took pictures at the beach and then for dinner wewent to the mexican restraunt across the street. I still believe they have the best quesadillas ever!!
The cows at the hotel
Lots of Sea gulls everywhere you walk
View outside of our hotel
In total there were: 3 hottubs, 2 regular pools, and 2 lazy rivers at the hotel
Nighttime at the beach
So many shells outside
But it wasnt all that warm.. Myrtle Beach actually reached a record low.. This was completely frozen

Ok. Hands down my favorite part was sea world... eheh. butttttt darn you didnt get many pictures of the Shamu Show... Except that it gets old after the 20 times i've seen the show. I think the dolphin and whale show is AMAZING now, but the clyde and seamour show has been the same forever!!
