  1. i didnt know which was the current topic so ill go in both! ok so im starting my obsession with Halloween Haunt and this is what i think; mazes they need to do this year from favorite to least: a maze based on different types of phobias, a doll factory/ toy factory maze, a maze themed on Banshee and maybe a school themed maze. Mazes to get rid of: tombstone terror-tory, club blood, delta delta die and urgent scare. wolf pack would move to where tombstone terror-tory was and the Banshee maze would go where it was. the phobia maze could go on a trail in between congo falls and the timberwolf theater where cornstalkers once was previously. the zombie high school can be where delta delta die was or if they get rid of holiday horror it could go there too since i don't see them getting rid of a maze that just came out but i really think that maze really needs a total new theme there. and the toy/doll factory could go where urgent scare was and they could move slaughterhouse to club bloods old location. id rather see them work on some of the old ones like holiday horror and urgent scare and bring them to their former glory but they never seem to do that. I'd most love for them to do the phobia maze with rooms with maybe a bunch of loose feared animals( spiders, snakes, bugs, rodents bees) and then rooms with a bunch of unlucky things (black cats, certain numbers, upside horseshoes, broken mirrors and such), then claustrophobia, and fear of the dark, and then you could do a lot with fear of needles/ diseases and germs, i cant vision it but maybe a fear of heights or flying. those are just things i thought of. id also love the toy factory cause you can include the doll part in it and include other things!

  3. So how does everyone feel about the new mazes and the ones leaving?? Personally i'm excited for the new mazes. I'm really happy Mysteria is leaving; that was just a waste of time and space. I'm sad for Massacre Manor leaving that one wasn't bad but it has been there for a while.

  4. ***More details to come, but new attractions for Halloween Haunt 2013 include Board to Death, Delta Delta Die & Backwoods Bayou.***

***Halloween Haunt attractions Massacre Manor, Mysteria and Cut Throat Cove have been retired and will be replace with new...blood.***

Holiday horror and hot blooded are both coming back this year for sure as well!

  5. To clarify:

There are two types of drink wristbands.

The first is the 20oz wristband, which entitles you to soft drinks in 20oz cups only. These wristbands cannot be used to fill souvenir cups. These are only available through FUN Perks or group sales and are not sold to the general public.

The other is the souvenir cup wristband, which entitles you to souvenir cup refills only. These wristbands cannot be used to receive drinks in disposable cups and require the purchase of a souvenir cup for $11.99 (which includes the first fill-up) if you do not already have one. Unlike the 20oz wristbands, the souvenir cup wristbands are sold to the public for $7.00.

    Does that answer your question?

    Ok thanks everyone!

  6. I couldn't find a topic about this so here goes:

Just got back from KI (9/21/2012). Tonight was not packed. Madame Fatale's was FANTASTIC!!! The level and depth of the theme was very well done. I'm not giving anything away so don't ask.

Nightmare Alley was kind of weak(maybe first night kinks), unless you're scared of eyeballs in trees, then beware.

Loved Freak Street. Fog and Lasers and Freaks oh my!!

Carnevil was the usual dose of 3D fun. I love walking through the tunnel without holding onto the rail.

Holiday Horror was same as last year, not too scary but well themed with some good effects.

Didn't see the drummers, but the stage looks great, and really happy to not see any midget wrestlers.

International street had some great scareactors all over. The dancing Michael Jackson scareactor was a terrific dancer.

Walked on many rides, had a great time. Saw some lightning in the distance, so we came home.

What are your thoughts on Haunt this year?

Was you able to see if mysteria was any better this year?

  7. Personally my favorite is holiday horror. I love all the animatronics in the different rooms and i like how they have all the different holidays and actually didnt do a horrible job in turning them into something somewhat scary. Plus, everytime i went through the maze there was something different about it and they were always adding something new.

My least favorite is tombstone. Like everyone else say its just pointless and not even scary. Its cool to incorporate the Train and all but the maze with it is a disappointment and doesnt really have a good theme. Now if they moved the ToT maze where that is then it might be my number 1 maze! lol

Favorite ride is actually probably beast. I like how they put up that random prop with the ride too. But its just awesome riding through the woods at night and it being all foggy too! but i also always love my Invertigo its my favorite!!

  8. ive never been into mazes at fearfest or Halloween Haunt. I only went to fearfest once and that was in 2005. But all i did was go in scooby doo and the haunted castle.

Hey thats still a fun ride lol :)

  9. They put up this post in their blog for anyone who hasnt seen it!! The blood drums sound pretty cool!

Kings Island is now busy putting up decorations for its Halloween events in the fall. It won't be long before the Halloween spirit takes over the park.

We're really excited about some of the new blood that will be incorporated into the sixth season of Halloween Haunt. More details to come, but this year's event will feature an all-new maze, dining experience, fear zones and new show with Blood Drums. Operating hours for Halloween Haunt have also been expanded from 6:00pm to 1:00am, except for September 22 when hours are 7:00pm to 1:00am.

Popular mazes like Club Blood, Wolf Pack, Massacre Manor, Cut Throat Cove, Cornstalkers, Tombstone Terror-Tory, Urgent Scare, Mysteria, Slaughter House, CarnEvil and Holiday Horror all return this year, along with Hot Blooded in the Showplace Theater. Graveyard Shift in the Festhaus will also be part of this year's Halloween Haunt experience.

Halloween Haunt is included free with park admission to Kings Island. Killer deals are available online on our website for just $25.99 on Friday nights and $31.99 for all day admission Saturdays (11:00am - 1:00am), except for September 22.

Two family-friendly Halloween events take place during the day on Saturdays and Sundays in the fall, including the return of Trick-or-Treat with the Dinosaurs and an all-new family-friendly event in Soak City. We'll have more details about this event to share with you next week.

All your favorite rides and attractions are open during the day in the fall like The Beast and Diamondback roller coasters, the Grand Carousel, Monster, Scrambler, Dodgem and the rides in the award-winning Planet Snoopy kids' area. Major rides and attractions are open during Halloween Haunt.
