Indyguy I was not responding to you, I was responding to KI Lover, I included your post as support for my post. I was explaining to KI lover what the report said. I was not trying to start anything I just thought KI lover didnt read it or know what was happening. I hope no one thought what i said was attacking, just trying to be helpful. I rode it two days before the accident(on friday, happened on sunday). The ride ran great. I wonder what really could have gone on wrong between friday and sunday. I really hate how we don't have very many details about that day. Does anyone know more?

I rode it ealier in the day of the accident. We did not get back to Action Zone after lunch and left probably about 2 PM. I did not know about the accident till a co-worker asked if I was ok. I had no idea why she was asking. The ride seemed fine to me at the time.

Well if you read the report, a few pages back by now, it said that the accident was the result of a one time failure. Versus a failure over time. I take this to mean: the wood snapped causing the injuries. Its not like the wood was slowly breaking away causing a worse ride each time. I believe what the report says, and I am too lazy to go back an quote it, that when one train passed over the section, the wood snapped causing the train to dip. When that train returned and informed the ride ops of the incident, and the rough patch, the ride ops closed the line. However, one train was out on the course and when they rolled over the affected section they dipped and had a worse injury than the first. This was the train, I believe, that had more injuries on it. Since the wood was broke at that time and the train rolled through at speed, it caused the severe injury...

Last night, I had a weird dream where they tried to destroy Son of Beast with explosives. KABOOM! The smoke cleared...and Son of Beast was still intact! And Son of Beast came alive (started moving) and was ****ed off, so they had Diamondback attack it by wrapping around SOB like a snake, and Diamondback "bit" SOB, whom roared in pain. A massive battle ensued, and the Action Zone rides all came alive and started to run away (Invertigo and Delirium were screaming as they ran!), but Son of Beast grabbed Drop Tower and began smacking Diamondback on the "head" with it like a stick. Then Beast came up to help his Son, bit Diamondback, then SOB did the same and Diamondback was ripped in two. Don Heilbig(I think I spelled it wrong) said "Oh ****" because SOB was coming his way. And I woke up.

Weirdest dream I have had in a while. Not kidding.

In all seriousness, I think it is your sub conscious not wanting SOB to be tore down.

Then maybe they should. I would buy a piece of SoB wood... if they didn't sell it for some ridiculious price.

If they sold enough pieces of the wood, that would make a nice down payment on a new woodie to put in it's place.

Assuming by "cars" they mean trains, this is the bargain of the century, if the figures are indeed correct. Even that much per train would be a bargain compared to other companies prices. Of course it is possible that Holiday World got a substantial discount by being a previous customer AND taking delivery of the very first Timberliners, but still...

Maybe they got a good trade in value out of the old trains?

If the new trains load quicker would that not mean you would want another train to load due to them not stacking up as much?

It has been stated many times that the decision would be made in the off season, and that date was NOT going to be Nov 2nd and in my prediction probably not Dec 1st either for that matter. I am sure the recent news has not helped it's chances of survival.

The company has also attracted the attention of former managers, who in August offered to run the company for a $1 salary and said they could increase its value.

I wonder how many years these former managers are willing work work for a $1.00 salary to turn this around. This is not going to happen overnight!

I don't think so. I have seen it down several times. You must not have been at KI on closing day. DB did not open till 10:50. I was on the first train of the day and only got 2 rides in before the ROTB. Although, I have seen Beast down as well as you stated.

I have noticed that if you sit in the front, you don't feel the trims biting as hard. They were still there, but just not as noticeable.

I am usually a back seat rider, and I notice the trims a lot more in the front on The Beast? I guess it is what you are used too. If I rode in the front more it would praobbly be more noticable in the back.

i had a dream that i was on flight deack and i was going up the lift hill and i looked up to see a whole bunch (im talking millions) of spiders on that black bag thingy and then they all fell down on me and they were crawling all over me for the whole ride and i was screaming and crying and shaking and some lil kid turns around and looks at me and says "come on this is not a scary ride" and then i woke up.

Sounds like whatever situation that you are afraid of is nothing to worry about. You will make it just fine!

Survivor, the Ride, a Zamperla Disko, opened in 2006. It had lots and lots of problems at first. Oddly, it has kept the Survivor name!

See, Cedar Fair has not updated (at least not very well) any of the former CBS/Paramount Parks websites. Not a bit like Cedar Point's or even Dorney's....

I do hope they work on updating the old Paramount website templates in this off season. Not going to hold my breathe.
