  1. On the 25th when me and my friend were riding during ERT, we asked for the front/back 3 of the 4 rides, and got it. The last time the guy hesitated.......and then said "whatever, just go". I asked nicely too. i think he was tired of us asking for a certain seat.

    What's ERT

Early Ride Time. You only get this with a Gold or Platinum pass.

See about half way down this page. http://www.pki.com/events/events.cfm?ec_id=27

Or during special events, like coaster events or company sponsored ERTs...which have been known to happen...

Terpy, who always has a little bit more insight on a subject that is always helpfull in some way. :)

  2. I believe that Kat's description of an ACEr was...

    1. Bald or balding, but still trying to keep the hair they had left

    2. Wearing a coaster shirt from a park other than the one they're at (Which kinda works with Angie's avatar)

    3. Wearing a fanny pack off to the side

    4. Age 40-70

    5. An ACE jacket, or a pair of the things that hold your glasses on that say ACE on them

Guilty only of number 4, and the day will come soon enough I can't even claim that one!

Terpy, card carrying member of many organizations...

So glad to hear that you were not guilty of #3 Terpy!

  4. I forgot to mention that I got my very first taste of blue ice cream Saturday (yes, I know I'm late on that one). I got blueberry swirled with vanilla.. all I have to say is YUM-MY. Totally worth the ice cream headache.

Be carefull she likes to sling her ice cream while eating and talking! :P

  5. as the night wore on for the sat night ert on db, i noticed hardly any trimming on db..by the end of the night you were literally flying through the ride.

I have to disagree with you on the trims, being that I rode with Giga most of the night she grumbled every time we hit them. The MCBR brakes were grabbing quite hard as well. Both seemed consistent the whole evening to me? I will agree though we seemed to be flying very nicely through the rest of the course.

  6. well i am going to be there on the 2nd and i know Tom(random numbers) is going to be there that day which also is his birthday.

Can we rename his long account name to just Tom? No one ever knows the rest of it anyway. :P

  7. i kept a note on my phone of what i rode just ask anybody in my group. lol

    Diamondback-5

    crypt-1

    beast-3

    BLSC-5

    Vortex-2

    Racer-1

    Drop Tower-1

Ha! That is true. I kept getting quizzed on the last things we rode so he could update his phone!

  8. Well, My graduation and Tom's birthday are both coming up before the first weekend in June, I was thinking that a joint party sounded like a great excuse to get the KIC Ride Warrior Corps together again :P

KICRWC... That has a ring to it.

Give us a date and if possible I am there!

  9. I did not realize you were actually making a video of that train ride. I never looked back behind us either. We sure did have a good time. Wish I could have been there Sunday, but not all things are meant to be.

We need to plan an unofficial KIC Ride warriors day this summer. Maybe a week day so it is not so crowded?

  10. Diamondback, on the other hand, I think I could ride 100 times without getting off very, very easily.

Especially when most of the ride you are in the air and not in a seat! Who does not want to experiencing that over and over again!

  11. 108_0176.jpg

What.. the heck am I doing in the bottom right of this pic? I can't tell if I'm yawning, talking to Steph, or just hanging out with my jaw open like a dumb@$$.

At least yours eyes are open unlike that one pic of me under The Beast.. Like I said someone always gets caught making a silly face, this time it was you.

  12. I am the one ridding with Giga. I feel like such a wimp now. I am holding on for dear life on the first drop and she has her arms up. Although, I do bring them up later!

Oh and by the way, the poofy face is my tradmark. I do this when water sking as well. Not sure why I do that, it is not like it is helping me in any way?

  13. I love how this topic has so many posts in it!

People are still recoving from RWW give it a little time.

I have 2 polo's that are Beast shirts, but they say Paramount on them.

I have the DB first rider shirt.

I bought the Cedar Fair VIP pull over jacket on Saturday for the DB ERT. (Glad I did, Giga bought a PKI jacket, but poor Giga was still cold.)

Edit: The DB First rider shirt is my Fav!

  14. I am the one between Kat and Gigga making the stupid face. Sorry bout that.

There is always one that gets caught making a silly face if a group photo and it was me this time!

Lol, I just now noticed that :D

But there's at least three different versions of this photo floating around KIC somewhere, with each picture we seemed to re-arrange and add somebody new, so maybe your face isn't as silly in the other ones? :)

    I sure hope so!

  15. Thanks for the trip report...I think your pictures turned out fine!

He is obviously not a ride warrior!! :)

Actually, he may be the ultimate ride warrior...because, judging by how bored he looks Diamondback was obviously not up to his own personal high standard of what a thrill ride should be!

LOL! Well you got a point, but I did not see a RW or any rider for that matter that was not giddy to be getting on DB and having fun. Except for this guy! :o

Maybe is a flats type of guy?
