I am on probably about 2 - 3 hours a day. During the day I have a computer that I bring up the DB webcam. Then when I have a few minutes I will also open KIC to see if there is anything I missed from the night before. Then if there is time I get on in the evening as well. You can say it, I am an addict of KIC and KI. I really enjoy the knowledge and conversations.

i noticed in the close up pictures of the trains from sat. in the first row of seats one of the restraints were up.
I can just imagine hearing this RUMOR the first day in the queue.
"Did you hear a test dummy fell out of train during testing due to a restraint problem."

I was so pumped for the first day of the Haunt. I worked that night and the atmosphere while waiting before the park to open was so great. The hardcore music, all of the props and everything, the fog machines going. Too bad it was windy or it would have been more "scary" but I love the Haunt.
My favorite part would probably be when they start playing the hardcore music at the front gate and they open up the metal doors and all of the monsters would run out and start scaring. So fun!
October is my favorite time to visit the park. You can't beat riding The Beast in the woods with the changing color of the leaves. I am guessing ridding DB is going to be just as fun this October!

I agree. On a personal note I measured my son the other day, and he will fit on FOC this year. Can't wait to ride it with him.

I was looking at where the trains will stop when coming back to the station. (I am sure there is an official name for this?)
The first would be in the station obviously, but then do you think the other two stops will be by train storage, or would the second stop be right behind the station like Vortex?

So the metal fencing in the splashdown, is this just an OSHA thing for when testing.
I would hope the people working the area are not the bad off to walk up when a car
is approaching. Wonder if there will be a lake border fence as well to keep other darwin
winners away.
Well, consider that since the workers have been working there they have not had a issue with a train going past them. I am guessing some are listing to MP3 players and may not hear a train coming either. Just my thoughts on the fence?

It appears that the third train is in the station. Did I miss something here?
I think they just got all the protective film off of it today. It has been in the station since the end of last week.
Edit: or was in on Monday?

For those that were on the tour, it seems to me the queue area is not very big? Is that slab bigger than it looks in the webcam?

It's the mass of people running to a ride when the park drops the rope to allow them into the various areas of the park. Most recently seen for Firehawk, and will undoubtedly be for Diamondback this year.

I hope the paint the spash down blue or something because its not very deep and just seeing concrete there wouldn't look as nice as the rest of the area does?
I was thinking that as well, but once it is filled with water you might not see the white concrete.

It means it does not make it up the next hill, so it rolls back and forth, back and forth, eventually stopping in the valley. Also called saddling or saddles...
So, are new coasters expected to do this the first time? I cant imaging it happening though. The subject reminds me of the Matrix when they have Neo in the jump program!

Please keep in mind we are not just talking about a ride but a new highly them area, ride, restaurant, shops and roaming characters. The Orlando area boards are very excited about the new additions I will be very surprised to see it fail (increased paid gate admissions) at this point, even if it ends up being over hyped. Universal will pay dearly for the name though. One thing for sure is it will be interesting to see how this all shakes out and not just for universal but also for their local competition.
Yes, they said it will be on 20 acres of land in the video. I wonder how much Universal had to pay for the rights to the Harry Potter name since it is a Warner Bros. movie?

Dont even talk about Twilight.. haha. But really, only good thing was the hott guys in the movie. hah. but if this phenomenon goes on like Harry Potter, which im expecting so, because the harry Potter movie was orginally supposed to be released when the Twilight movie was, but they then switched it. So we might be seeing that hah.
Yes, was not happy when they gave Twilight Harry's spot. Harry should have challenged Edward to a game of quittage for the spot!

......... I think some people take some things wayyyy overboard. I really dont think there needs to be a Harry Potter Ride. A book and movie is really all i'd like to hear about it. Whats next, the Twilight coaster?? yuck

But then why would they test it if it's not even going to crest the second hill? Why wouldn't they just wait?
It seems to me they are confident in their design and construction to do a full test run and see what happens. I doubt they have any issues with the trains making it throught the course.
