Great report so far! BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! What was the gal's response? Zach may have been fighting it, but at least that looks (much) easier than getting Jonathan into a picture with the big noodle! LOL! Somebody's been taking lessons from me.

^ Just another example of why you should carry the essentials in cargo pockets and leave the rest in the car.
-
^^^ LOL! Actually, since there's no SIX park close enough to me for a day trip, it would be part of an overnight trip, which I always budget for months in advance. So it wouldn't be that scary, just might mean that my hotel won't be as nice.

For both A and B, depends on the style of haunt and the price. I, for one, would be interested to see if they can actually, truly scare me, since the regular haunts don't really do that. I might get startled for a moment when someone pops out where I wasn't expecting them, but I'm talking about the continuous full-fledged fear where you're afraid to even walk around the corner. I haven't experienced that.

That makes sense. Although, you still could have waited until around sunset, when the sun would not be a factor. Still, good job regardless!

Conflicting reports about LeBron James' decision: one source says that he is returning to Cleveland, another source says that he has not decided http://www.wkyc.com/story/sports/nba/lebron-james/2014/07/09/lebron-returning-to-cleveland-according-to-chris-sheridan/12434767/ I think it's kinda sad in a way that we are legitimately discussing NBA free agency in the "other parks" section of the forums.

And while you were complaining about the misspelling, you misspelled "misspelled".

Indeed. He hasn't been on here since 81 minutes after making the original post.

^ That one took me a minute, but when I got it... OMG!!!

Nice! The only criticism I can come up with is it seems that the same angle of Banshee is used multiple time, possibly even the same footage. A little more variety would have been nice, there's a few good angles that can be shot from the midway. Otherwise, I like it!

It's worth noting that on Monday night, the KIC group was not assigned seats. We were able to choose our own seats. So seat assignment is not an all-day, everyday thing.

The first time I rode Diamondback, I screamed all the way down the first drop. By the time it was over, I was ready to ride it again right away (and did). Go for it!

^ Good, that means a shorter wait for me. -
I was following you guys on Facebook during the trip, and it sounds like you had a lot of fun! I am looking forward to the rest of the report!

Or they very well could think that it was a fixed version of... never mind, I'm not getting through. jcgoble3, applying his previous post (but whether I'm on the "smart" or "stupid" side of that remark may never be known)
-
Try explaining that to the regular editors who maintain most of the amusement park–related articles on Wikipedia. jcgoble3, who's been there, done that, and doesn't want to fight that dragon again

What I was trying to get at is that likely they'll only start counting at the separator (or entrance) when the regular method of counting gets really, really close to the magic number. At that point they'll probably have Don and a few other management types present to be ready to mark the occasion, so I would imagine that at that point they would obtain the current count from controls, account for those currently riding and in the station, and position an extra person at the top of the stairs to finish the count and identify the millionth rider. In other words, the final bit of counting will probably be done by management, not ordinary ops. If I'm correct, it would also make sense to count at the station entrance rather than line entrance since otherwise they would have to account for everyone in the queue as well when transferring the count from controls to the entrance At least that's my guess. I have no actual knowledge of how this will actually work.
-
No matter how smart you are, you can't fight stupidity. The stupidity will always win. EDIT: To put it another way, you can lead a horse (GP guest) to water (the information about the new ride), but you can't make him drink (actually read and understand the info).

Cedar Point 2015 speculation

But how would that appeal to "teens and other hard core thrillsters"? When I think dark ride, I think family ride. Even the high-end dark rides at Universal (Spiderman and Forbidden Journey) are really family rides. -
But when the death rumors still persist 30 years later, why would you knowingly associate a ride with the name of a different ride that has those rumors still attached to it?
-
^ Now that's a cool marketing tactic!
-
Yeah, I simply assumed that they when they get close, they will begin counting riders at the separator position at the entrance to the station.

Are you using Internet Explorer 11? This is a known issue with that version of IE. Switching to a real browser like Firefox or Chrome will solve the problem.
