  4. First, The Beach is a trademark and should be capitalized as such. Second, The Beach does not open until 10am that day. Also know that the back half of the park does not open until noon. The Cliff is their signature slide, though I think Banzai Blast is better. Don't miss Cowabunga Curl; each of its three slides is a unique and fun experience. Don't worry about what order to ride in; four hours should be plenty of time to ride everything. Have fun! Transmitted from Wild Space via my datapad's DROID brain
  5. Beggar's Night here in Xenia is normally on the 31st. However, it is moved to the 30th if the 31st is a Sunday (to prevent interference with church activities), Wednesday (same reason, as many churches have youth group meetings that night), or Friday (high school football). 6. If you're registered, check your email. Main points: 1. Registration will close tonight at 5pm. 2. Donation cutoff is noon Friday. 3. Riders will indeed be limited to two consecutive rides before a mandatory break, which is stupid as it unnecessarily takes 90% of the fun out of the event. This only reinforces my decision not to participate. Also, I had a second email asking for my shirt size and number of years participated. Check whether you got the same and reply accordingly. (I replied that I was not participating at all.) Transmitted from Wild Space via my datapad's DROID brain
  7. Captain's logs? The diary on the website is that of a mother among the passengers, not the captain.
  8. Mitch Hawker's poll considers Outlaw Run wooden. I'll be interested to see what Mitch considers Goliath to be.
  9. I believe thedevariouseffect went to the event. Hopefully he'll file a report in the usual place.
  10. I'm a bit confused here. Please define the word "span" in the sense that it is being used in here.
  11. That would be the new evacuation system for WindSeeker that was developed in the wake of the problems at Knott's and other places in 2012. EDIT: Beaten twice.
  12. I've been seeing reports from friends on Facebook that one of today's shows was canceled partway through due to an injury to one of the performers.
  13. Reason for the closure, with video of the boom: http://www.daytondailynews.com/news/news/local/odot-releases-video-tallest-bridge-demolition/ngBg8/
  14. Yeah, I got a few of the Beagle Bucks once through Fun Perks when that was a thing. If they're still available, I'd be interested in how to get them, especially if you can get discounts for buying larger amounts of them.
  15. Not sure. It works on mobile, but on desktop it redirects to YouTube's home page.
  16. I'm in the mood to nitpick tonight. Screenshot from http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php/topic/29446-arrowed-revived/page-3#entry620104 (might not still be there if others have liked the post since this writing: Notice the space between "Hydra" and the comma that shouldn't be there. I've seen this several times, and it only occurs with that username. What's going on?
  17. I have never been to Coney. I should probably rectify that this summer.
  18. Yesterday at the Soak City Gold Pass entrance, the lady next to me got her family in with just the vouchers. So I would think that it shouldn't be a problem, although they might hold you up for a few seconds while they take a closer look at the voucher to make sure that it really says Gold or Platinum on it. Only MF, Maverick, Gatekeeper, Raptor, and Planet Snoopy are available for ERT. I think he's aware of that. He means that you can walk through the entire park during ERT, as opposed to KI's ERT where only a small portion of the park can be accessed before regular opening and the rest is roped off.
  19. Good, because that means shorter lines for me. jcgoble3, who loves Mission: Space so much that it is tied for his favorite attraction at WDW with Star Tours
  20. I was there today. I saw nothing new except a few repainted slides, but I did not ride everything, and there were a few areas that I did not venture into, so it is entirely likely that I simply missed the zipline. I only had a couple of hours in the park before I had to leave, and some of that time was consumed by trying to get a lifeguard to retrieve my season pass from the bottom of the Cowabunga Curl splash pool (note to self: find a better way to secure your pocket than the stock Velcro ). I should be back there sometime next month and will take a closer look then.
  21. I am amazed. I expected a fiasco too. Sounds like they did a good job keeping things under control. Now, let me think here: two and a half hour drive, short park hours... I could potentially stay from open to close and still do this as a day trip. I'm going to have to look into that.
  22. "Other" for the same reason as Magenta Lizard and Ride On_17.
  23. Null vote, only because I haven't ridden Berserker or any other swinging ship that goes upside down. That said, given the reputation that Berserker gets around here, I'm surprised it has 30% of the vote so far.
