  1. The funny thing is that whenever I actually go to click Terms of Service (TOS), I, in turn, receive a disclaimer, saying "Oops! That page can't be found." The link at the bottom of every page hasn't worked for a long time. The TOS to which we are referring can be found stickied in the "KICentral Footnotes & Small News" section of the forums.
  2. ^ If you click the link that malem provided to the KI website and click through a couple of pages, you'll find links to the course maps. It appears that the half will simply be two laps of the 10K loop.
  3. Carrots by Becoming Green, on Flickr So like this?
  4. Any piercing other than a female's ears makes you a weirdo in my book.
  5. I can only think of two reasons why that question would be asked. One makes him a weirdo, and the other makes him a masochist. I'm going to choose not to even think about an answer.
  6. See, that's the thing. It's not a "missed opportunity" for me. It's that I never even had the chance. As an 8- or 9-year-old kid (I forget which), The Racer spooked me so bad back in the mid-90s that thrill rides were not something I ever even thought about until I saw a Kings Island Gold Pass commercial on TV in spring of 2010, and even then it took about a month from my first visit to work myself up to Diamondback and learn to enjoy thrill rides. So I never had a single chance to ride it, yet for the better part of three seasons I went to the park on a regular basis and saw it sitting there SBNO. So I'm slightly miffed that I had to look at it for three seasons and never had one chance to ride it.
  7. Once again, right after 2:00 am the site is slower than molasses in January. There has to be some kind of server issue here for it to happen on such a regular schedule.
  8. ^ Somebody needs to take a deep breath and let it go. jcgoble3, still slightly upset that he didn't get to ride SOB (so does that make me a hypocrite?)
  9. I've never had this happen to me either, using Firefox on Windows. Sounds like a Chrome-related bug.
  10. I assume wind and possibly ice as well, since the temperatures hovered around freezing most of the afternoon.
  11. The weather today has been playing havoc on the power grid. At one point today 3,000 people in Greene County were without power.
  12. ...and I am STILL undefeated on tweetups.
  13. That post looks completely normal to me. I don't see the problem at all. I'm using Firefox 27.0.1 on Windows 8.
  14. From Wikipedia: " 'B-roll' also refers to footage provided free of charge to broadcast news organizations as a means of gaining free publicity." So I would gather from that that this is something significant if they're putting together a B-roll for it.
  15. http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php/topic/28690-gwl-126-7-2013/#entry575494 and the next post.
  16. So? People can walk around the other side of the Eagles. It's not like it's an extra five miles. For someone heading from the path by Delirium back to Banshee, it would only be a few extra feet. It's not a big problem.
  17. So angle that vendor's lines to the side. Or set up ropes so the line snakes back and forth horizontally in front of said vendor. Problem solved.
  18. There's a lighter colored area at the near left side of the circle, as viewed from the webcam. Could that be where the queue for our Flying Eagles will go?
  19. For the record, I am anything but spherical.
  20. Well, a restroom would indeed be something for "all ages"....
  21. Keep in mind that a full-season magic show in an amusement park like the Alonzo show violates one of the cardinal rules of magic: never show the same trick to the same person twice. Most of the general public would have only seen it once, and that's fine. Us enthusiasts that saw it multiple times, however, would experience less and less enjoyment each time, because 1) after the first time, we know what's going to happen, so the element of surprise no longer exists, and 2) the more times you watch a trick, the easier it is to figure out how it's done (hence the cardinal rule that I mentioned), and that always ruins the enjoyment. So in other words, a magic show like that is aimed at the general public who will only see it once in a season, not at enthusiasts and season pass holders who see it multiple times.
  22. Yes, it's being discussed in the Banshee Construction Thread.
  23. Awesome! The park is finally beginning to come out of hibernation!
