Falcons Fury at Busch Gardens Tampa
jcgoble3 replied to Colonel_SoB_fan's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I like (and others will probably hate ) that the holding time between reaching the top of the tower and the drop will vary. Randomizing the delay like this is the only improvement that could be made to KI's Drop Tower IMO (short of throwing manufacturer suggestions out the window and installing rotating seats like Falcon's Fury). IMO having the exact same delay every time takes away a lot of the anticipation and kind of takes away from the fun as well. -
Arrrrrgh!!! These trip reports are driving me crazy! They're making me want to go to the park right now... but it's closed! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! Seriously, thanks for the reports! Great photos!

Better yet, capture it and hold it hostage, demanding spring as the ransom.

I usually just go home and go to bed, having eaten dinner earlier in the evening. On the rare occasion that I leave significantly before closing (e.g. every Opening Day I've been to), I typically drive down to Penn Station just south of the park off Western Row. This year I may look for a Panda Express nearby; yes, the park has one, but a location outside the park will give me more choices for a lot less money and a better dining atmosphere (because I don't like being forced to listen to a show that I don't care for while I eat, nor do I like dining alfresco).

Perfect example of "it takes a village to raise a child." Just one of the problems with many of today's children...

It does work with Tapatalk, although the app has a bug in it that will occasionally strip out all line breaks when you attempt to save an edit. That bug is not related to pasting in the quote, but rather just editing in general.

There are reasons, very good reasons, why it continues and must continue to be mentioned. I am not privy to exactly what those reasons are, but there are reasons.

I'll be 92 in 2079. I hope I'm 1) still alive at that time, and 2) still able to ride thrill rides at that time. As for having children that have children that have children, I don't want to get married and so probably won't ever have children.
-
Like any other ride vehicle, it probably has to be disassembled, inspected, and reassembled every year.

^ Renewals were only the same price as new during the September/October sale. When the prices went up after that, renewals were cheaper than new.

Great photos! Thank you, TOPGUN1993!

The collective intelligence of TripAdvisor reviewers is comparable to that of Yahoo! Answers, and not in a favorable manner. I generally ignore TripAdvisor. -
I can't tell whether or not this is sarcasm.

I think they still let you take your cups(I maybe wrong) i would be fine with that because thats the main thing I use at the park. Effective last season, Firehawk no longer allows souvenir cups in line. Only prescription glasses and flip-flops can be left in the station.

I give up. What do you mean by "the night row"?
-
Excuse me while I remove spit from my computer screen.
-
Well I used to get dropped off, So I Cant do that Then 1) just don't carry anything that doesn't fit in a fanny pack or cargo pocket, and 2) wait to make purchases until you are on your way out after your last ride.
-
Leave it in the car. Simple as that. You can get your hand stamped when you exit so you can re-enter. If you buy something during the day, take it straight out to the car. There is no reason to carry a backpack or other bag in the park.
-
Firehawk has no bins because the station isn't big enough to have room for bins. If they put bins in the Firehawk station, they won't have sufficient room for people to move around.
-
There is absolutely no reason to carry two bags in the park. If you're carrying anything more than what can fit in cargo pockets and/or a fanny pack, you're carrying too much. Here's some tips on how to reduce what you carry: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php/topic/28780-no-loose-articles-in-the-Banshee-station/page-3#entry582057

This is not needed. At least one attempt has been made before to reboot the thread and failed. There is no limit on the length of a thread.

I feel like I saw a picture from last offseason that they were storing a boatload of trashcans under International Restaurant... You may have. Here's a shot of them from two offseasons ago (taken the same day as the one of the Congo Falls boat above): Also in the Rivertown train station: There's much more from that day here.

Vortex camera is right next to the midway But it's also below and hidden from the midway, which means that people on the midway generally don't notice it during the day. Even at night, when the flash lights up the track, it doesn't get annoying because you're only seeing what gets lit up, not the light itself. Banshee doesn't have the benefit of being below the midway like that.
