1. We're being doubtful? Yes we are, and for good reason. I will not repeat those reasons again, for they have been stated in this thread numerous times in the past several months. 2. We're being pessimistic? No. We're being realists. 3. On what evidence do you base this "faith"? Or are you simply ignoring the evidence? 4. If you "could care less", then you do care some.

^ I believe the "fanboys" to which he refers are sccard01 and Youthere.

And IntaFail fixes it.

Youthere, you need to read this post that I directed at sccard01. It applies equally to you. To expand on what shark6495 said there, you (sccard01) need to understand that wanting KK to succeed and believing that they will succeed are two completely different things. I want KK to succeed. Most of us probably do. But just because we want the park to succeed does not mean that they will. We're being realists here. We want them to succeed, but the evidence says otherwise. Realistically, the severe undercapitalization of future years, lack of marketing, and other factors suggest, when not viewed through rose-colored glasses, that KK is likely to fail after a few years unless drastic changes occur. Being an optimist is great, but even optimism needs to be grounded in realism. Now try to explain how I have "hatred" for the park. Hint: I don't. My hatred for the park exists only in your imagination. As for being biased, my comments are grounded in facts that anyone can see if they only choose to open their eyes. Your comments are pure opinion and fanboyism, blindly arguing that the park will succeed and refusing to consider any other possibility. I suggest you reconsider who is "biased" here. Hint #2: It's not me.

...and if and when the park fails, as it is likely to do, and defaults on its loans, as it is likely to do, the bank gets the collateral, which is the land on which Kentucky Kingdom sits, which is currently owned by the Commonwealth of Kentucky and, by extension, the taxpayers. So yes, if/when the park fails, the taxpayers lose. Big.

That's rather... specific. Do you know something that we don't?

I just sent a message to Tim Holloran of Coaster Crew on Facebook with a link to this discussion, seeking clarification. -

I believe as long as you join any approved club in time to receive the membership card before media day and have the card in your hands when you arrive, you're fine. I'm pretty sure the requirement of having a KIC username before yesterday was only required to get the now-expired $9 price for CC. Right now, you can sign up for Coaster Crew through their regular sign-up page for the same price ($10 for a one-year membership + $5 for a lanyard) without needing to be a KIC member at all. -

1/24 (yesterday) was the deadline for payment to get the special price of $9.00 for a one-year membership. It's not too late to get in on media day; you'll just have to pay full price for a club membership if you don't already have one. Just join Coaster Crew or any other club listed on this page and RSVP to media day on that page. -
Generally, trademarks like eBay and iPhone where the capital letter is the second letter rather than the first are always unchanged at the start of a sentence (first letter remains lowercase). With trademarks like adidas where the entire word is lowercase with no capital letters, when used at the start of a sentence I've seen the first letter both capitalized and uncapitalized with roughly equal frequency, and neither seems to be inherently wrong (and some style guides dictate capitalizing such trademarks all the time, including Wikipedia's own style guide). Either way, in formal writing it's better to recast the sentence to avoid the issue altogether.

June 6 and 7 were probably not any better. I spent $40 on a Cedar Point jacket on June 6 because I had packed only t-shirts and shorts. The next day, I received a $40 Gatekeeper jacket in the same style for free at lunch. Oops.

I'm guessing that it looks bigger because the surrounding trees would have grown in the 30 years since the photo was taken, leaving less of The Beast visible above the trees now than was visible in 1984.

...proving once again that [POLITICAL COMMENT REDACTED].

I'm sure that is an actual photo, but I swear that looks like a computer rendering.

...huh? How can a trademark be eligible for patent protection? I thought they were two totally different things. -
Given the "no loose articles" policy on Banshee, lockers will have to be placed somewhere nearby.

Banshee is a registered trademark. Please capitalize it and all ride names at Kings Island. Thanks. According to this, Banshee is not registered yet. It has only had a "notice of allowance" issued, whatever that means. -
Plinko is a registered trademark of FremantleMedia Operations B.V., the producer of The Price is Right.
