Documentary concerning Seaworld ("Blackfish")
jcgoble3 replied to Tanna's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I wonder if it would interest her to know that 1) dolphins ARE whales (more specifically, a subset of whales), and 2) killer whales, AKA orcas, are a species of dolphin. -
I received an email about a PM just fine on the 12th. However, I don't have any watched thread/forum emails enabled, so I can't speak as to whether those are working or not.
-
I'm guessing Banshee and Firehawk on FL+ thus year. The brand new ride and the lowest(?)-capacity non-kiddie coaster.

No wizard hats are included. Feel free to bring your own.

^ I think the best way to describe MagiQuest would be that it's like a fantasy role-playing game, but live-action. EDIT: Yeah, it's mainly geared to preteens/teenagers, but adults can find it interesting as well depending on their tastes (especially if you're into role-playing games and the like).

There's a chance that I might possibly be interested in maybe informally meeting up for a possible dinner and maybe other things. I'd need to know a few more details before maybe thinking about it. In case you couldn't tell, it's not at all certain.

Dammit, I missed the naughty picture of Don. Did anybody save it?
-
So there's will not be an event two weekends from now? Then I'll start making other plans for that weekend.
-
Perhaps a contest prize? Enter to win a lifetime Platinum Pass? I'd enter that contest!

Yes, the front gate lockers provide unlimited all-day access for one price. EDIT: Also, if you think you'll only need to get into the locker two or three times during the day, it would be cheaper to grab one of the old coin-operated $2 single-use lockers over by the ladder game. You have to pay each time you open and close it, but if you only open it three times, taking everything out the third time, you only pay $6, compared to $12 or $15 for an all-day locker. Mrs. No Chickens did this on closing day last year with a backpack full of bobbleheads; $2 locked them up for the entire day since we didn't have to open it until the end of the day.
-
All-day lockers are available next to the front gate.

Good luck with that. I'm less than three weeks from my 27th birthday and I still have to carry my phone in the park for the same reason.

If it was edited today, then how did IndyGuy quote the current text of the article last night?
-
So the article was edited, but when? In the same post that he linked to it, IndyGuy quoted exactly what it currently says. Now I'm just more confused.
-
I am still failing to see where it was actually reported that TR and TT would be connected to each other. It was speculated by somebody at TPR, as well as several users here, but I cannot find any evidence of it beyond speculation, and the article linked by IndyGuy says a "new" coaster. If there is indeed a source saying that this "new" coaster is Twisted Twins, then somebody please give me a direct link to it, because otherwise you're just confusing me.
-
The perhaps you can explain what it said, because what I just said is what I saw.
-
Money might not buy happiness, but I'd sure love to have the chance to prove it.
-
Why is everybody thinking Thunder Run is going to be connected to Twisted Twins? The article linked by IndyGuy4KI on the previous page says that it will be connected to "a new wooden roller coaster", which implies new construction, and says nothing about Twisted Twins, which is certainly not new.

That's getting extremely technical. It could be reasonably assumed that in a hypothetical situation where a person is killed by an amusement ride, the person will probably have been removed from the ride by medics for treatment of his or her injuries before he or she actually dies. Even in the incident last year where someone fell to their death from a coaster (was it Texas Giant? I forget), the victim died when she hit the ground, not while she was still physically on the ride, yet most people would say that she died on the ride. So I think it's reasonable to say that a person died on a ride if they suffered the injury while on the ride and later died at the hospital, or more generally if the injury resulted from riding.

That food truck was also moved over to Coney Mall during the Haunt season.

Is Coaster Crew one of those approved? The list has not been announced yet.
-
No. It will only be coaster clubs with paid memberships, which KIC is not.
-
Rhino Rally was open when I visited in August 2012. I don't know about any shortening of the ride, though, as I had never ridden it before and thus have nothing to compare it to.

I thought it was mentioned somewhere that media day was tentatively set for Thursday, April 17 (the same day as the A Kid Again event)? EDIT: What TheBEASTunchained said.

I've only been to the Tampa park, so I'll refrain from voting.
