  1. ^ Remember, that was written by people who use the metric system. It would be reasonable for an American to describe Millennium Force (310 feet) as "over 300 feet". So it would be reasonable for a German to describe something that's (for example) 305 feet (93 meters) as "over 90 meters". So it could still be easily over 300 feet tall. As for length, 5,316 feet is 1,620 meters, which could plausibly be described by "over [actual height rounded down to multiple of 500] meters".
  2. On that note, if you haven't seen it already: http://www.santaslodge.com/news_details.php?id=14 Santa's Lodge has their $79.99 rate again, but this time it's for all summer instead of just HWN weekend. Coaster club membership required.
  3. I've only ridden Firehawk and Manta. I found Manta to be far more comfortable and fun than Firehawk.
  4. ^ Uh yeah, I'd call that hot. Looks like something's on fire!
  5. Indeed it was, relatively. I can actually see a line for it!
  6. Gold Passes usually disappear after Memorial Day. As for the Soak City question, Kings Island has not yet posted their 2014 operating calendar, so we don't know.
  7. Given my budget for this year, I'll be lucky if I leave the Buckeye State, and even luckier if I do more than go to HoliWood Nights.
  8. Still, it won't happen in 2014.
  9. Ain't gonna happen. jcgoble3, being a realist
  10. Flyer: https://www.holidayworld.com/sites/holidayworld.com/files/HWN-2014.pdf Webpage: http://www.holidayworld.com/clubs The biggest change is that the Splashin' Safari ERT has been moved from Saturday morning, which has seen temperatures in the 60s each of the past two years, to Friday evening. Who's going? Add your name to the list. 1. jcgoble3 (50-50 chance, depends on budget)
  11. Congratulations. You have won the internet for today.
  12. Of what do you speak? I have never had a waitress call me that. Have you never been in the South, child? Jiminy. Come to think of it, not really. I've driven through Tennessee and Georgia on my way to Orlando and back twice, but stuck to chain restaurants when I stopped for lunch or dinner. One of these days I should actually spend a few days in the South and eat at some family-owned restaurants. But that won't happen for at least a year or two.
  13. I'm just going to duck that comment.
  14. Because it's the offseason and I'm bored.
  15. Of what do you speak? I have never had a waitress call me that.
  16. Nah, Rhonda already found the man of her dreams. They actually got an apartment together last year. He's an executive at a national chain of retailers. I think he determines the price of stuff. Then why did she call you "precious"? That sounds like loverspeak to me.
  17. Tim Hortons also has crushed ice (or at least the Xenia location does; I haven't checked anywhere else).
  18. OK, what's going on between Ryan and Rhonda?
  19. Huh? I can't make heads or tails out of this comment. EDIT: Or is "boy" an autocorrect fail that's supposed to be "not"?
  20. Good, I'll be able to get Mountain Dew now. What's BWW?
  21. ^ How can simple pavers be "thematically appropriate"?
  22. Wonderful! I was very sad when last year's edition abruptly stopped without warning. Hopefully this year's won't suffer the same fate.
  23. This looks fun. Since I'm not going to be traveling much in 2014, I might be yearning for some variety in my parks. Making my first trip to Coney might be in order.
  24. I'm attempting to understand your numbering here without success.
