Miniature Coney model at Entertrainment Junction
jcgoble3 replied to jandyb79's topic in Coney Island Central
Yes, they are Flash. Photobucket is a pretty poor place to host videos because of their limited storage (2 GB) and bandwidth (10 GB/month) for free users, and even Plus users have limited storage (varies with amount paid) and limits on video length (10 minutes) and file size (500 MB). All photo-hosting sites I've seen have many limits on videos (Flickr, for instance, limits them to 3 minutes long). Videos really should be uploaded to a dedicated video-hosting site such as YouTube, which enforces no bandwidth, storage, length*, or file size* restrictions and uses HTML5 on browsers that support it instead of Flash. *although uploading videos longer than 15 minutes or larger than 1 GB requires a one-time account confirmation code to be sent to your cell phone -
KIC Holiday Party @ GWL (Dec 6-7) - Important info!
jcgoble3 replied to malem's topic in Kings Island
^ A snow day is quite possible, since as of right now according to WeatherBug, it's supposed to rain Thursday and then change over to snow overnight, which means a combination of snow and ice, which always increases the chance of school being canceled. Unfortunately, that would also make travel difficult as well. -
KIC Holiday Party @ GWL (Dec 6-7) - Important info!

I'm hoping I can kick this cold before this Friday. I've been sick all weekend. -
No, "limited" to me means that only the top X fundraisers can participate. "Anyone that meets the minimum" is what I would define as "unlimited".
-
So we have to raise money without knowing whether we'll be able to participate? I don't like that. If somebody donates to "sponsor someone in the event" they expect that someone to participate. If I can't guarantee to potential donors that I will be eligible to participate, then I'm not comfortable soliciting donations to begin with. I think I'll sit this one out.
-
Well, the FirstGiving page does not give a maximum number of participants. Perhaps Don can clear this up?
-
My understanding is that everyone who raises the minimum $100 gets to participate, and the top 32 get the first train of the event.
-
That's an understatement.

Good question. IE 11 is already known to have issues with forums (such as the inability to quote posts).

Testing: https://www.facebook.com/ EDIT: Everything's working for me. Firefox 25.0.1 on Windows 8.

Cedar Fair under Kinzel was not known for maintaining theming. We have insufficient data to determine if there has been or will be a change under Ouimet, but any change must overcome inertia. Thus, I am in the camp of "I'll believe it when I see it."

It's themed as a roller coaster.

I like the names, But i dont think Invertigo will get re-painted in the next 5 years as it just got re painted in 2011-2012 Flight Deck was just painted in the 2010–2011 offseason. Now only three years later, it's being painted again.

Check-in is 8:00 to 8:45 pm, and the event runs from 9:00 to 11:00 pm.
-
Interesting. I like the idea of doing a fundraising competition rather than a straight auction for the first train.

Would you like the KI&MVRR spruced up in the next 2 years?

A shootout probably would not go over well in this day and age. This ain't the '70s. -
And I don't understand why people won't do that. I always do.
-
Three, actually. First is the use of "the" in "Son of The Beast", second is the claim that people died on it, and third is the ludicrous claim that that is the reason for playing the national anthem.

From Facebook (link): There's a bit of a jab at Kings Island and Holiday World in there, methinks.
-
^ Firefox has that too.

Depends on your perspective. I prefer the new configuration. What's the point of going to a waterpark if you don't want to get wet?

What, may I ask, was the Trailer Tower? I've been seeing references to it for quite a while, but I don't know what it was.

There is an actual difference in color. The supports for the lift hill, station, etc. are yellow, while the supports back in the woods are tan. The reason why has been stated on these forums several time, but I can't for the life of me remember what it is right now.
