  1. Looks like the Jacksonville Zoo is also getting Dinosaurs Alive.

Interestingly enough, I live near said Zoo and when I saw the commercial for that attraction my thoughts were, "What a cheesy piece of junk," when I learned that King's Island was adding a similar attraction my thoughts were, "Wow! That looks spectacular." Truthseeker, who is currently sounding quit like Terpy, is rethinking his opinion on, "Dinosaurs Alive."

  2. Firehawk is really the only ride that gets super huge lines, and you can avoid those if you're smart. So, no, especially since something like Flash Pass at SF would make the lines longer for everyone else.

Actually, adding a ,"Fast Pass," system to Firehawk would be the worst ride to add to it. Adding the pass would just make the line slower and longer for everyone else.

  3. I was just imagining a teaser picture.....maybe zoomed in on a toilet seat or a sink. Everyone would start freaking out. ZOMG is that a splashdown for a new B&M dive coaster that's 800 feet tall?!?

Oh and as for the driers.....I can't even count how many times I've seen people just blankly stare at them because they can't figure out how to work the Dyson ones. It's pretty hilarious!

I'm surprised they can't just read the instructions on the front.... Oh well, most people don't. :(

  4. You forget the last rule, don't have your first post start an argument with Terpy. Haha! Just kidding, of course. Seriously though, I thank all the new members for joining but, you have to realize it's not about SOB and it will not and CAN NOT be a new coaster. With six weeks before opening left, there is no possible way a new coaster could be constructed. Not saying I wouldn't enjoy a four hundred foot coaster but, at the current time that's just not possible. As for SOB, look at the clues that were posted. They literally stationed a thirty foot T-Rex in the parking lot. I'm sorry but, there is no way this is about SOB.

  5. The teeth in that jaw bone look more like shark teeth than reptilian teeth.

    Shark tooth = http://upload.wikime...shark_teeth.jpg

    Crocodile teeth = http://www.izintaba....odile_teeth.jpg

Most dinosaur teeth resemble those of a crocodile or alligator, thus bringing me to believe by the shape of the teeth pictured are more like those of a shark.

I know this was previously pointed out but, where can you see the jaw bone? I have looked and looked yet I can not find it.

  7. This thread turns more and more into an episode of Blue's Clues with each post.

I think we're getting a little ambitious here, guys. I'm personally going to be pretty surprised if it's much more than a world-class, world's tallest t-rex animatronic. At most, I'll say he's part of us getting that Action Theater movie. Don't mean to be a Debbie Downer, but if CF is adding a new section and all that for 2011, would they *really* just start hyping it up seven weeks before the park opens? Diamondback was announced in August of 2008, after all...

On the other hand, one thought I had that doesn't seem to have appeared: what if 3/18 holds an announcement about an announcement for Son of Beast? I know it sounds ridiculous, but Six Flags Over Texas did just that a few weeks ago via Facebook for the New Texas Giant, different chain though it may be. There was a week-long countdown to the announcement of the ride's opening date. That idea could also be used for any big 2012 addition, too. (I'm just throwing the idea out there.)

I feel like that would have to one HUGE t-rex!! Wouldn't Universal or something have made an extremely large one at some point? Maybe not but I just feel like they would have...

That's because they did, http://0.tqn.com/d/t...jurassicUSH.JPG . For the record Disney also created one for the final scene of Animal Kingdom's Dark Ride, "Dinosaur." Only problem is that as to my knowledge, Universal's animatronic is only half of a T-rex. If I am correct I am not so certain it would be counted in the record books.

  8. I'll chime in...

    Paramount Parks:

    Pro:

-They had the intellectual property to work with.

-I liked how employees dressed up for their individual rides at first, (ie Top Gun airsuits)

-Top-Notch media annoucements (a spectacle in itself)

    -Winterfest!

    Cons:

-As stated above, they had beautifully themed rides... for a few weeks

-Generalized apathy for the park from Viacom management

    -Over-promise, under-deliver

    Cedar Far:

    Pro:

    -Cleaner park

-Unannounced add ons (When a ride is added, typically the whole area is revamped)

    -Fantastic live entertainment

-Adding rides that "round out" the park (ie Diamondback - we needed a signature steel)

    -Special events (Knievel)

    Cons:

-Peanuts is the only real licensed property, nothing directly geared toward adults

-Believing that a "coaster is its own themeing." That may work for some, but I don't buy it

-Constant pressure from investors may affect park additions and performance (remains to be seen)

-They refuse to respond to my weekly requests to open my latest venture in the park, "Ryan and Ronny's Nice Sit Down Restaurant Featuring RC Cola, Sponsored by RC Cola, Proudly Serving RC Cola"

    I cannot stop laughing!
