It's seemingly never been there. See these pictures for reference.

I appreciated that the park was open this past weekend, but I thought it was very strange that all the non-Winterfest rides went down for weather around 1 yesterday and didn't come back up. It was cold, but I was at Canada's Wonderland the weekend before and they ran everything all weekend, even though the temperature there was colder than it was in Mason yesterday.
I know Canada has wheel heaters in the station. Maybe it would be wise for Kings Island to invest in those so that they can run their rides in colder temperatures, if they plan on having this bonus weekend in future years. At the very least, it would be nice to have standardized policies so that you know that all the B&M gigas across the chain will operate in this temperature, all the B&M hypers, etc.
I agree with you that it would be nice to have, but I'm just not sure how feasible that would really be. Every ride has its own parameters for operation and every state has its own rules for adherence to manufacturers' restrictions. Rides themselves can also be so temperamental as is. Even with the same ride at two different places, they are just going to respond differently to their environments. I'm not sure I could expect both FOFs to operate the same / tolerate the same conditions as each other**, much less Goliath at SFOG and Diamondback. The same would go for Ninja at SFMM and The Bat; Silver Bullet at Knott's and Banshee; and Racer 75 at KD and The Racer.
**See infamous stories of KI's FOF causing electrical issues while Drop Zone lifted through its brakes as just one example of a location-specific quirk, something every ride has in one way or another.

Something new I noticed last night is that they have now turned off the uplighting and lift hill lights. It all but disappears from the park at night.

With all the bumps going on, I figure this one might need to be seen again.

From what I've seen, most of the major attractions have POVs on FUN TV, including The Beast. There was also a POV for Fury 325 when I last visited. Has anyone else seen another ride from a different park as well?

Thanks everyone!
There is one person who has a platinum pass who could land us the Breakers Express deal, but would early entry only apply to him or would the entire room be eligible for early entry?

Hey guys! Long time no see.
So a couple friends and I are in the early planning stages for a trip to Cedar Point this July. The trip depends on a few different factors, and we need help deciding on what to do.
1. Will we need two days to cover all the "big" coasters, or does this depend on what time of the week we go?
2. If we do need to spend two days at the park, is there a good hotel that is relatively cheap? We would more than likely split the cost of the room(s) between all 7 of us.
3. Where can we find the cheapest tickets? Does CP offer 2 day passes?
Thanks in advance!

If these were such easy fixes, don't you think the park would have fixed everything?

How does International Street look? I remember hearing that the buildings got touched up a little over the offseason but nobody's mentioned anything yet.

^What is Banshee Brew? Is it comparable to Butter Beer?

Guys what if they put a Haunt attraction in the old Crypt building? At least the building wouldn't go to waste and be useless for the whole year. Maybe the Haunt will be high quality and fun, too.
I know, sounds crazy. This will probably never happen.

Who knows, it could be getting restored as we speak, but I haven't heard anything from the park. I haven't been to KI yet but judging by oldiesmann's pic at the top of the last page the clock has been completely removed.I would be really impressed with Kings Island if they brought back the multicolored drapes that used to hang in the Festhaus. But with the removal of the glock, I doubt the drapes will make a return.

So wait the glockenspiel was completely removed? Or just not rehabbed?

It's made to entertain and distract from the wait times. I think it has already succeeded and will continue to improve over the course of this season.
So it begs the question of why this program was installed on rides like Adventure Express. How often does AE's line get long?

Where is this program displayed in the park?

Ride Adventure Express as many times as possible as well as the Scrambler, Monster, Zephyr, and Shake Rattle & Roll.Since this will be our first time at Kings Island, Does anyone have an order of rides we should go on? Banshee will be first of course, then we were thinking Beast, Diamondback, Vortex, etc. Is that a good order of rides?
Sometimes the smallest rides are the best.

Don't want to be "that guy" but any Kings Island apparel you choose to endorse on media day must be bought from / endorsed by the park. Custom KI shirts are, to the best of my knowledge, forbidden on media day.
my custom made 3/4 length tee, with the original 1972 Kings Island logo recreated and turned blue to match the sleeves. (part of my media day outfit.)

Concrete Work Under The Beast
in Kings Island
Posted
It's a shame we don’t get to see great pictures and updates of this work from the park. These really are unique shots of the roller coaster that I'm not sure we'd see again for a long time. I wish they'd publicize the extent of their work because there are so many people who rode it last year who had no idea the first half was significantly different than it had ever been before.
