  1. I expect Celtic music, and or any kind of musical scores that are similar to those played in the The Hobbit, & Lord of the Rings movies.

High expectations for this ride, I hope it will turn out great!

In this case, it would be best to have lower expectations so that anything they add will impress you even more. Needless to say, I'm not expecting that this will be an immersive ride just because Ouimet is now in charge.

I would rather have a ride meet my low expectations than for me to be disappointed, but that's just my opinion.

  2. They will probably have a loose article policy like Firehawk. Loose shoes and prescription eyewear they will hold onto. Everything else goes in a locker. I wish it was like Gatekeeper, where they can hold small personal items like a small Nike bag or such. I hate paying $2 for a locker that I won't need longer than half an hour lol

There's no rule that says you have to only use the lockers for that ride. If you're in the area and don't need your things for awhile, go ahead and ride some other rides so you don't have to carry your stuff around. They're safer in the locker anyways. The lockers can be opened multiple times, so you can retrieve something if you need it.

The locker is yours for the two hours you rented for it. Don't waste your money.

  3. I dont really think its fair for KI to do this since I do carry a wallet, phone, iPod and souvenir cup and get really annoyed when I try to ride Firehawk and have to pay 2 Dollars just for a ride because you need a locker to store your stuff. That is why I dont ride Firehawk much. I would rather know that my articles and stuff like my money and my mainline of communication that costs a lot is safe when Im riding. Even with cargo shorts I still dont feel safe. Just my opinion but I dont really like that plan with no storage bins which only takes 10 Seconds to actually put your stuff in and go back to the train is great.

So you don't want to pay $2 to store $500+ worth of loose articles? Your iPod, phone, and wallet are probably safer in your pocket (or a locker) than in the bins in ride stations.

  4. I think some people are blowing this out of proportion. Of all the rides at Kings Island, only Firehawk actually requires us to pay for a locker for loose articles. Every other ride has bins or some other means of holding our belongings. I think we have to give a little to get a little; in this case, we pay for a locker to get a record breaking, NEW coaster.

  5. Apart from the pretzel loop, there is nothing about the Supermen that I like. At least Firehawk is a little more comfortable and actually has some variety in the layout. I have fun when I ride Firehawk, but I just find myself waiting for the ride to end on Superman.

  6. The skeleton scene near the end of the ride is plenty scary for the younger guests. Also, Boo Blasters is NOT, nor has it ever been, a part of Planet Snoopy.

I agree with the skeletons being scary enough. They still creep me out ha ha. I apologize for not knowing for certain which area it was considered to be situated in (Rivertown or Planet Snoopy). That's one of those strange rides I was unsure of, like the log flume, which I know is considered to be in Rivertown, which makes no sense to me, but eh oh well :)

Actually, the log flume is considered a part of Planet Snoopy. :)

  7. Dwight: I believe Kings Powder Company had an explosion before the park was built, but the factory is located on the opposite side of the river from the park. The explosion did not occur on park property, but the accident did happen close to the park's land.

  8. I twisted your words how? I literally copied your words verbatim, exactly how they sat on the page. Furthermore, the ellipses signify that you said more but what you said was not relevant to my point.

I merely took your words and used them against you. You said in the quoted text that people on this site can be hypocrites, which is what you were essentially being. How does talking about "not missing clothes when you're not wearing them" form a family-friendly atmosphere?

But it doesn't really matter. What is it Terp always says? "All in jest.."
