Well, that's what they were called when constructed, no?

That PKI topic and The Bat topic are close to being that old... Just sayin'.
EDIT: But yeah, I agree with you, Ty. I don't know what's up with all these revivals. My God, just make a new thread!

Shaggy, almost all of the land you hilighted in your post of Kings Island is maintenance roads. I'm not saying it is impossible to work it's way around them, I'm just saying that Canada's Wonderland's was all empty land.
As my stepfather's fraternity buddy says, "I ain't sayin' anything, I'm just sayin'."

I said it appears to be that you are stumped. However, under careful studies it has been our consenus that it is just a hoax by a local poster, as a publicity stunt for his latest post.

Wow. For once it appears to be that someone has stumped the Terpy!

Kind of related, FUN now owns the rights to Flight of Fear's soundtrack. Does that mean that they own Tomb Raider's? Or was Tomb Raider's soundtrack a packaged deal with the whole shabang of rights? Or possibly, does Tomb Raider's soundtrack(s) abide by the seperate music licensing terms?
-
Man, that logo looks amazing. Sad that all we have now are just little dinky signs you walk past/under.

Yes. But music licensing is very different. By paying the proper fees, music can generally be played for commercial use in a public place.
I believe Holiday World plays themes from various Paramount movies.
Provided things are still there, I doubt you will see Durga illuminated because she was part of a former story-line on a ride that doesn't exist anymore. As for everything else, you have to account for safety and egress locations. If they plan on using the main show building, there are certain things to think about. The Heart of the Tomb was not meant to have people walking around in it. It was built to provide the show environment for a large ride. Things have to change in order to accommodate a walk-through Haunt attraction.
As I understand it, the bottom of the warehouse is just a concrete slab. It might have been ripped up when removing the a frame arms from the Giant TopSpin, but new concrete could have been poured.
As far as the goddess, the goddess herself isn't copyrighted, but the prop. Can't they pull a SDatHC and put glowing red LED's over her eyes at least? Or just illuminate the eyes herself.
What I fail to understand is how a Durga is still under protection by the patent when the thing patented no longer exists (the ride). I've never seen Tomb Raider, but does Durga even appear in it? If not, then how can it be tied to the movie?

I absolutely love hearing roller coaster / amusement machines' roars, hisses, and clanks. Some of my favorite sounds in the park are Invertigo's lift, Flight Deck's brakes, Vortex's anti-rollback, Diamondback's roar, among others. I'm sure The Bat would have made that list, too.

That is called spamming the forums, and is against the ToS.

Um... Diamondback. 2009.
Um... Coolangatta Racer and Tasmanian Typhoon ... 2004? Do the math.

Well, I have no idea then. I'm updating my iPod as we speak, so we'll see how this turns out.

Last year's Wolf Pack was amazing. I was totally blown away by it. 2010, not so much.

It says to get the "FREE Forum App!" or whatever, but it says it's $2.99. When the reviews say that it barely works and it's only gotten a 1-2 star, there is no way that I'll be buying that!
-
I'm not sad to see it go, but I am sad that a rare coaster type is lessoned by one. Just as I was sad when Big Bad Wolf, and Wildcat (CP) was taken down. We just don't see rides like these anymore.
I wish they would move the ride to Michigan's Adventure and keep it outside so it could live on.
They could have sent the Crypt there too.
No! No! No! NOO!
Sorry, needed to get that out.
*ahem* I loved DISpatch mASTER TRANSPORT because it was a unique experience and I didn't expect more of it. I rode in 2010 I do believe, and I thought that since it was a FUN park, the theming was pretty good. I mean really, Kinzel's idea of theming was The Crypt pre 2011?

-
I try to do that on my iPod touch, but it won't let me log in. I didn't get the newest iOS update from Apple...related?
-

Nope. Genuine statement. It seems that amusement parks are all over the news this year with ride breakdowns, ride malfunctions, etc. I haven't really heard much good in the news.

On KICentral, if you are viewing on a mobile device, you can't log in or post in mobile. Even when you press "view full version", you can't get out of mobile. Why is this?
-
-
Gosh. What is it with parks this year? Excessive downtime for signature attractions, Mäch Tower, Verbolten, now Superman. This doesn't spell anything good for both Six Flags and Premier.
-
And you say so how? Paramount seemed equal to Lindner.
-
Nothing.

I hear a station in Action Zone will not be inhabited by a beastly monstrocity soon...
To the people putting a station in Oktoberfest near Adventure Express: NEVER. I want nothing towering over Adventure Express. Not again.
Mobile?
