  1. Gee, I don't know whether to Like that post or hate it! I may have an unhealthy love for the late Crypt.... =P EDIT: If I had a dislike button, I would definitely dislike jdawg's post a billion times.
  2. Great pictures. I've always wanted to visit Stricker's.. We'll see about that. That Electric Rainbow night picture is absolutely striking! Thanks so much for posting!
  3. Something like Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit comes to mind. Might be a bit aspensive.
  4. I didn't like The Crypt. I looooved it!
  5. Holy poop, only 5 rides? What if my favorite ride is Adventure Express, or The Crypt?
  6. KIC, CWMania, Screamscape occasionally, and KIExtreme occasionally.
  7. I prefer the outside filled first, because I can judge the wait. Also, just ask the Ride Op outside. They're always happy to help!
  8. That concert would be over in half an hour. Not if he conducts at 5 BPM!
  9. I'm surprised how much activity there is here early on in the morning! I love Diamondback. I've never been scared of any ride, and this was no exception. Rides are heart pounders or pure fun, just not scary. I'm glad it's the only roller coaster at Kings Island not to have a seat belt! EDIT: I also lost my flip flop on Diamondback...At the brake run...
  10. Please try to take pictures and have fun at Indiana Beach!
  11. You think so? I've met a few Kings Island ride-ops who actually care about the guests and their safety. Granted, they aren't 16 (but has anyone met a ride-op who is?).
  12. Guns N Roses aren't together anymore, thus not making them eligable... EDIT: But I would say: 1. Disturbed 2. Metallica 3. Rob Pottorf, playing the Tomb Raider and Flight of Fear music live with an entire symphony!
  13. Vortex is one of the best rides to grey out on. Crypt, who greys out on Flight Deck... And I think once on The Crypt!
  14. Have you ever gotten beaten by a sack of hammers? It's not enjoyable.
  15. I saw that too. I don't know why it hasn't been runnin, as I've seen it do numerous test cycles.
  16. Ohiocolts, please make a TR every time you go to the park. I love your enthusiasm, love for the park and your family, and your description. I'm glad you joined this site, or there would be something big missing. I also love that there are many Crypt items still out there! You know what I'll be buying next time I'm at the park!
  17. From Canada's Wonderland's Backlot Stunt Coaster Youtube video: "Canada's Wonderland let this ride go...weeds everywhere and they even programmed it to skip the helicopter scene. Kings Dominion and Kings Island still have the scene with the fire and fog. The two maintained the "Hollywood Backlot" theme much better."
  18. Yes. Flight of the Valkeryes (or however you spell it) still plays, the machine guns fire as well as the fire, and the LED's are working. We have the same new police sirens as last year, as well. GYK, I just looked up a recent POV taken 3 days ago from Kings Dominion (to see what it's like), and my God do we have it good! They have 2 police cars (no third), minus the sirens, and the helicopter arm is snapped back, and at the MCBR, it's just a "stop and look at what was!". Also, you won't believe this, but there's a comment saying: "Actually, some of the effects still work. During busier days, Kings Dominion still turns on the helicopter attack (with sound effects), fog covering the tunnel, fire from gasoline pumps, and large fire above the tunnel. It's one of the only parks to retain most of it's effects." Bolded for emphasis. Meanwhile, I'm just facepalming.
  19. Exiting the Dodgems: "Do you wanna ride The Outer Limits?"
  20. Why does Cedar Fair (at least the old) SEEM to value Kings Island more than the other Paramount Parks?
  21. Delirium is still down. There were people who were working at the top for about 45 minutes, but the site was silent the rest of the day. Adventure Express was down in the morning. Unclear why. Diamondback gave more aggressive floater air in the front this time around(?). Firehawk had nice operations- Always a train on the tracks. The first room in the saucer in Flight of Fear seems to have gotten a little more love (couple new lights), but the station has some flickering lights that are about to go. Decals on White Water Canyon are starting to peel (not surprised). Blue Racer is very rough. I hope it gets retracking soon. The Red Racer is smooth as glass. Insane air when you snap down to the turn along the Coney/Rivertown midways on Vortex (front seat). Adventure Express theming is starting to take a turn for the better. Still some strong laterals. My baby's entrance as well as some of Diamondback's footers have started to gain overgrowth. So, that was a little synopsis of what I noticed at the park. -TheCrypt
  22. RPW? CPW? No need for more fries in the park.
