  1. This isn't necessarily a family forum, per say, as many of these users are in fact adults who use suggestive language at their discretion. What I don't understand, is why Gordon put BS, then later used the full word... ;)

Well, at least this isn't TPR, where everything is a sexual joke!

  2. You could be able to visit the park in June, and it being much cooler.

When the Sun gets very hot, it usually means that it is about to cool, making for much cooler temperatures. I would think that our next couple of Summers will be quite pleasant, maybe similar to this past Winter.

  3. 1 area that you don't have is the "small" circled area to the left of Diamondback. That is White Water Canyon's resovoir that cannot be taken out (but it can be moved). Also, I would love for it to not disrupt The Beast. I'm a bit saddened every time I see Vortex, Diamondback, etc at the top of The Beast's 2nd lift. I wish those trees would grow faster!

What I like about the park the best is that they use the coasters as a perimeter to the park with the exception of Backlot Stunt Coaster. So i don't think that they won't put in anmything big in river town because Diamondback and The Beast are already crowding the area to build a new ride there besides Crypt.

What does that make The Racer or Great Pumpkin Coaster? Or even Surf Dog?

  4. This would be my ideal plan.

Get to know both parks. Try to find the most efficent route to each ride from another ride. Try to plan each move of your day (that's what my friends and I did for Universal Studios). Do this, and you're likely to make the most of your day.

You can never know for sure what crowds will be like. Make sure you check the weather forecasts for your planned days in advance (try checking as close to your dates as much as possible to get an accurate reading).

For once, I actually echo railroader19's thoughts to a certain degree. Try to get to the parks at ropedrop, and then hit up the low capacity rides first thing, then wait in line for the higher ones later. Low capacity rides at each park that I highlighted are:

    Dorney Park:

Stinger: This is the exact same ride as our Invertigo. If you haven't ridden ours, then ride. If you have, skip.

Voodoo Possessed: This is a very fun style ride, like Wicked Twister. However, instead of a curved spike at the back, it has a straight spike. I would reccommend sitting in the back row for this ride, as it makes for a looong ride down while riding. I'm not sure if the holding brake is operational on this ride, as it is disabled on Six Flags Great America's version (structural fault), but if it is, added bonus.

Screamin' Swing: With only 8 passengers total, this line will probably move slow. HOWEVER, this is a pay-per-ride attraction, so lines may be shorter.

Demon Drop: I don't know about this ride-- It does seem ot have low capacity, but there are many cars moving at the same time, so lines could be moving swiftly.

Wild Mouse: I don't think I have to explain!

    Hershey Park:

Roller Soaker: Not only have I heard about capacity nightmares, but it also is not well received by the public, so I would just skip.

Wild Mouse: Again, I don't need to explain.

So there ya go. I would also recommend reading MF2000CMH's Excellent PTR that includes Hershey Park.

  5. Bat wing (completely identical to Firehawk accept different color) and Night Hawk at Carowinds,

Hey, guess what! Those 2 roller coasters are both Flying Dutchmans! Isn't that something?

    And by the way:

    *Nighthawk

    *Firehawk

    *Batwing

It's called a "lay down" coaster.

    In Roller Coaster Tycoon.

  8. to someone's comment about Drop Tower's recent down time... If not mistaken, it got fried pretty good when it it got zapped by lightning a few months back.

Drop Tower has been operating for the past few weeks.

  9. I'm also dissapointed that you didn't get to ride Iron Wolf.

That's because Iron Wolf is now Apocalypse:The Ride at Six Flags America in Maryland.

I realize that. Let it be known that Iron Wolf was a beloved ride of mine. It still doesn't make sense as to how it hurts you, just stand higher than the bicycle seat!

  10. Delirium's been down. Wonder hoos fault that is...

^Don't end a sentence in a preposition! That is not proper grammar to! ;)

    hoos? Really? :)

    Moving on.....

    'Twas a Terpism.

  11. Delirium's been down. Wonder hoos fault that is... However, Delirium has been making test runs, so it begs the question-- If a ride has gotten a new part, does the ride have to be inspected top to bottom by the Department of Agriculture, or is it free to run? If it has been making successful test runs, why hasn't it open?

I have no idea what's up with Drop Tower. I think it could be something with the catch car (or whatever the proper term is for the thing that brings the gonola up the tower). When I went, I heard this buzzing sound when it would attach to the gondola, and when it started, it would somewhat falter while going up, like it was slowing down, then speeding up. I don't know if that made sense, my thoughts are hard to follow at times. But I can't really explain it any other way.
