  1. One has to wonder when the lines out queues for food and Fast Lane will have an impact that can't be written off as a weather variable.

I know many people that forego their 2nd meal because the lines are just too long and said this is the last year they get meal plans.

I know many have said the Fast Lane lines are too long and they won't renew Fast Lane next year.

Yet, we hear this every year, and the majority of those same people end up renewing anyway.

And until that changes, the value of the product being offered will continue to erode.

All season Fast Lane just sold out at Kings Island, so the trend continues.

On a slightly different topic did you all see Kings Dominion announced a firework and Drone show during July and August this season? I didn't think Kings Dominion did any sort of regular fireworks show (please correct me if I'm wrong) obviously I'm sure they did many many years ago but in recent times, they haven't had one anytime I've ever been there.

I will be the first to call six flags out when they are doing something poorly but I'll also acknowledge when they do something right and the new shows lineup at Kings Dominion looks really solid especially considering I don't think they've had anything other than a Charlie Brown had a farm kids show whenever I've been there previously.

Will they be at 7pm again 🤣

Stopped in today for a quick bite and ride and it is absurd that the app didn’t have a menu for any place. I had to download the dining guide. It would be nice to just have that in the app

I don't recall it ever being in the app other than maybe a generic description.

The new preferred parking setup is an absolute disaster. The weird nondescript lane it puts you into at the exit seems like an accident waiting to happen, and they've apparently been closing it and refusing to allow more cars in hours before the park closes even though plenty of spots are open. The snacks were also the only good part of the patio "lounge", so seeing those changed to a Costco sample size is pretty disappointing.

Sadly they have shown a degradation each year of the pass (sometimes negative changes even mid season) and yet people still buy it, and then to make matters worse, they give it away as a free upgrade LOL.

Sadly people will still renew Prestige come August.  Always have, always will.

And the park knows/counts on that.  People will continue to purchase regardless of the offering. At some point they won't but that doesn't appear anytime soon to enough quantity to make a dent in the numbers.

They didn't remove the elevator person. They removed the person standing/sitting at the base of the tower watching guests and scanning for ride requirements and helping catch prohibited items like drinks.

True, but that position is still an elevator attendant (and my reply to you said "attendant at elevator door" so the position location was already identified).  And if that is the message you got from my post, then you missed the entire point of my post LOL.

  6. Removing the elevator attendant is kinda like removing the park ambassadors.  Seen on the bottom line, but lots of intangibles that cannot be measured are now gone.

Anyone that has worked the elevator attendant position can attest to the guest interaction that you got (and more so than probably any other associate position in the park) and undoubtedly had positive impacts on a guest's experience that day in the park.  Whether it be answering a question, offering up ride or food suggestions, to just maybe listening to them vent a little bit if they had a bad day, it is all valuable interaction that is now gone.

A few noticeable staffing cuts on some rides.

The Eiffel Tower cut the base person

Franklin's Flyers is a single op ride now

Wasn't able to confirm it, but heard through the grapevine that the 2 Adventure Port rides are single op (correct me if wrong)

Not a good look for capacity and throughput as that is apparently a vision for new CEO John Reilly

Adventure Port rides are two associate ops.

Eiffel Tower took a page out of KD with no attendant at the elevator door and was replaced with a gate and sign to "Please Wait for Elevator Operator" and to no surprise, people walk past the gate to push the elevator button...

There are two Tony's now. The Tony Carovillan the Park Manager and Communications director Tony Clark. I assume you are talking about the park manager since Tony C. went back to CP on Friday.

    He meant Tony C 🤣

Earlier today I saw a photo of a meat (?) sandwich on a burger bun cut in half with a bowl of mac & cheese in between the two halves. Does anyone know what Kings Island food item that might be? It looked to be from French Corner, but it wasn't the shrimp po boy or the new crowaffle breakfast sandwich. It looked to be really nicely presented so I'm wondering if I should see about trying it.

You are talking about the Muffuletta sandwich and pasta salad that has been available at French Corner for the past 2 seasons or so.

Perhaps they have that to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the USA?

It was a mistake - it was the whole spiel used at park open and then stopped it about halfway thru and then played the correct closing spiel.
