  1. ^^But doesn't the height seem kinda low...like really low for what we believe will be a big coaster? Also, I don't think I've ever seen a loop with supports like that...

Oh, and there are/will be footers to the left that have completely been left out.

  2. kind of surprised this hasn't made it to the "New for 2014" section of RCDB yet.

    from rcdb.com

Rumored roller coasters are never listed in the rcdb. New roller coasters are not listed until a park makes its official announcement. An exception to this rule is when track is spotted on site, at which point it is considered publically known.

this wouldn't even go under "unknown" yet?

RCDB is not Screamscape...its a database that is supposed to only have reliable information that the public would also likely know about...not just enthusiasts. All there is at this point are footers....no track, hardly any teasers, no model known, and we can't be 100% sure that B&M is making this roller coaster. If you really want to push it further, how can we be sure that a roller coaster is also 100% being built? Footers mean absolutely nothing to the public.

  3. There was a documentary (2006) about how B and M makes the track and part of the process is to let the track sit outside and rust (this has something to do with trying to find any defects). They then remove the rust, do a few ultrasounds and then paint.

This article talks a bit about the process but doesn't mention the putting track outside part.

Here's the video. It was cut/edited to only show the main parts about B&M as the episode was an hour long and wasn't just about B&M

  4. I can't seem to find where a bunch of you were questioning if painting the fountain floor black would be a good decision but after you watch this video that will be the least of your worries. I think this what is in store for KI (along with the coaster) and KD next year.....enjoy! (This was at Canada's Wonderland)

For those that just want to watch the good parts.....well.....lets just say there are no bad parts! :P

  5. I don't know....I said it was a guess. If they did file a permit for the track it should be in the permit documents (which it isn't).

Also, why would they need a permit for track now (I know, it sounds crazy but I'm sure they can get the permit approved easily). They filled the footer one in March which was probably when they began digging.

  6. How do you know they haven't? Maybe you're just not looking hard enough. I'm sure they had to file some sort of permit before they started any type of construction.

Has anyone found it strange that the park still hasn't filled a permit from the track to be constructed?

I'm pretty sure the park has done ALL of the paperwork before they started on construction. Think about it...

But wouldn't they still have to fill it to Mason? I've looked through every single permit since January 2012 and the only thing I found was the foundation permit......

  7. Oh gotcha I'll give ya that

I will say too, there's how many parks worldwide B&M has associations with that could be getting a new ride, so even if you see track that means nothing quite honestly. It is cool to see it built/being built before it arrives at the park though. Gives you a whole new look on the ride design & quality.

One question I just wondered though. Who makes the trains? Clermont doesn't make these as I'm almost positive. Are they shipped directly from B&M or what?

The trains are made in Switzerland....I just don't know if its B&M themselves who make them (since their in Switzerland).

  8. I know we've already ruled out the dark green supports as being for another coaster, but sitting on the side of the building, I saw a large lime green piece of track.

I don't have any pictures unfortunately, so if you want to wait until someone takes a picture to believe me that's fine. Not claiming this is track piece is destined for Kings Island, but thought I'd let you all know what I saw.

I believe that piece of track is headed to China for Flying Over the Rainforest. Does B&M still make their parts for Asia at Clermont?

SO KI has never been on the cutting edge?

    Someone help me here, but

    Racer (started coaster revolution)

    Beast (record breaker)

    Bat (prototype)

Vortex (first coaster with 6 inversions)

    King Cobra (Prototype)

    FoF (Prototype)

    TRTR (First Giant top spin?)

Those are just the first of their kind cutting edge type rides...

    Delirium (First giant Frisbee)

    Son of Beast (record breaker)

Screamin' Demon (first Arrow launch coaster)

How many of these were under the current regime at 1 Cedar Point Dr.?

And on the "family experience" discussion, Ouimet: "There's not a lot in the middle... rides that parents are on with their kids, but not solely because of their kids... This is one we are about to roll out in multiple parks, where I know a parent will have at least as good of a time as their kids. And I think that's the sweet spot." (followed my some coughing, probably allergies or something)

Calm down, have a little faith. The man at the helm is a genius in this industry. He knows what he is doing- be it a family ride, a new show, or a 400 ft. looping floorless wooden coaster. Trust the guys in charge, and if you are looking to truly have FUN and not looking to point out every little flaw you can find, you will not be disappointed.

    End rant.

Flying Over The Rainforest was completed in December......that piece of track is probably damaged (samething that happened with Hair Raiser a few years ago...the track was sent back to Clermont)

  9. I know I have less than 10 posts here but that does not mean I know nothing. The track pieces that have been posted here are indeed for a Wing Coaster (where....we do not know but some have been saying that track is a dive coaster which it is definitely not) Following the "WI" on the track label is the letter "G" which represents the 7th Wing Coaster (Gatekeeper was F and FOTR was E). For those that are hoping for an inverted coaster, if the label says "IC2", the track is for an invert (they use the 2 because they ran out of letters to use; they also skip some letters because some look close to numbers). Finally, a giga (or hyper) would have to have the code "MC" in it.

I know most of this has been mentioned but some seem to be ignoring what people are saying which is true.

Oh, and that yellow track being talked about above went to China. http://rcdb.com/9647.htm

  10. http://rcdb.com/9114.htm?p=0Flying Over the Rainforest, at Ocean Kingdom in China looks exactly like that track. Our Ohio plant is supplying the track for them as well.

ok well when was the photo of the track piece taken? And I'snt flying over the rainforest completed already

    No. Still under construction.

FOTR was completed back in December..... the park is almost ready to open.

It doesn't look like there is any wood under the green track in the pic above that I know the plant uses to "protect" the track so maybe it had somesort of defect....after all, it is the exact same colour.

  11. All of you are saying that you think its a giga or an invert but no one knows. Tell you what, I'm sure most people here know how to read B and M codes on the track and supports so why doesn't someone go down to the plant and take a quick pic of the sticker on the supports. Then we will know what model what ever coaster they are manufacturing is.
