  1. I don't mind inverts, they arne't my favorite, but they are ridable. There is only one thing I don't like with inverts though, and thats the loops, they are kinda, meh, neat, but I prefer traditional coaster loops more.
  2. Also there is alot more arrow in the park than you realize. Antique Cars Cad Cars Turnpike Cars Corkscrew Gemini Snake River Falls Magnum Iron Dragon Earthquake (Defunct) Mill Race (Defunct) Pirate Ride (Defunct) White Water (Defunct) Original Shoot the Rapids (Defunct) Compare that list to Intamin AG;s Maverick Millenium Top Thrill Wicked Twister Shoot The Rapids Disaster Transport (Defunct) Demon Drop (Defunct) As you can see, Intamin has played a roll in the park no doubt, but I give Arrow more credit for helping shape the park into the world class amusement park it is today. Intamin may have installed a few more "firsts" and "bests" originally, but they are nothing without the R&D, design, and creation of rides and attractions like Arrow has for Cedar Point.
  3. You could also say the same thing without Arrows in the park, if it weren't for arrows pushing the 200ft barrier, or bringing several inversions, or reaching angle of drop/ect. Intamin wouldn't be able to do what they did today. The companies are all just trying to one up eachother, that's all it comes down to. Anything can be built given the technology, resources, and desire. It's just a matter of who went first. If arrows maintained their popularity, innovated, and went further, they could possibly be in the same boat as Intamin AG, B&M, ect. However now with their ownership under S&S Sansei I do not see them going too far or innovative anymore unfortunately. Tbh, none of these companies would produce what they have produced without Toomer or Stengel honestly.
  4. 1. Join Coaster Club that's approved (ACE, GOCC, ect.) 2. Get admission ticket/season pass 3. Buy Coastermania Pass 4. Go to CP 5. Go to Coastermania
  5. They play soccent attack, Sam's theme, & Arrival to earth
  6. Lol I love how this has turned into a number fest... Also these numbers aren't perfect...to hit that 1655 was the hourly taken right on the dot, and also, you know as much as I do that people spin the turnstile more than once sometimes...hell on super some kid when I was talking with security apparently got a hold of the turnstile. When I took dor for that hour, super put out 400 something rides...lols..to get above theoretical...dunno how I'd believe that because theoretical is perfect dispatch on the dot consistently to the second which we all know does not happen. Dragster doesn't put out much...trust me..I know two people on this crew for this year, most went to other rides or didn't return so I'll see what they're numbers are like this year and come back, but when I worked there close to 1k hours was the norm.
  7. These are theoretical capacity numbers. For instance corkscrew is 1440 per hour, my best hour was almost 1300
  8. I don't really care if the train sits idle for a little bit while on the ride. I like to anticipate the launch and think about what just happened on the other side of the circuit. As long as you get ON THE RIDE in a quick amount of time its not like its boring sitting idle for a bit. you asked why does the line seem to move quicker..I explained why, and why capacity is only 1k
  9. Because we cram the station and were loading two full trains at the same time. If you notice however cycle time is pretty long. Ride time from station stop to stop at unload is a few good minutes. Trains sit idle on the ride slowing its capacity down...think stop to load, jog to launch and pre launch, go for train one, jog to launch train two then launch it. All of this happening mind you while two trains moved from unload and stopped and two trains before you went to unload and emptied. Lots and lots of little things that add up time and just slow down capacity a tad
  10. No that is ttds capacity. Also might I add, corkscrew is 1440 for capacity, still beating an intamin :-)
  11. If they do remove cedars and golds, eh ok, I'd feel bad for individuals without vehicles like our international employees. Also if they do this they need to add to the employee dorms off point now then too. If they're ganna go that far they need a serious renovation and whatnot..old crappy buildings, little to no WiFi, bed bugs, terrible bathrooms, ect. I'd love to see the investment and hope it happens soon as cedars is ganna fall over here sooner or later if someone leans on it wrong.
  12. How is all this land not buildable, technically speaking the beach is the poorest section of land to build, however a previous coaster, two current coasters, and an observation needle were all built on the sand with no issues. Land can be moved, added, or changed to needs. Honestly if land WAS a huge issue, if CP got the permits and rights to do it, they could quite possibly dredge as well. However like I said, they aren't currently land locked, so I don't see this in any near future plans whatsoever. There are YEARS of expansion room available still
  13. Well tbh though, big new things offer that "never had this before" thrill. B&M wing riders, it was nothing truly new for Gatekeeper, wheras TTD, first time having that intense of a launch. I will agree, they need better quality control/testing/blueprints than just to an extent winging it. Take B&M wing rider/stand up, tested, tried, true, ect. Compare that to intamin flume...lols
  14. Plus look at a shot from above via satellite/plane. You only see the path/areas they want you to see or interact with. Besides that theres a ton of area and room. Cross the train at gemini on the right all those trees and buildings hide an employee break area, maint. shops, back way to mean streak/carpentry, ect. Same for the other train station by Mantis, behind Red Garter all the way to Snake/Shoot the rapids, tons of room. You see only a percentage of all land space. Hell look at the Jungle (infield of Iron Dragon/blood on the bayou), theres a TON of room there
  15. My phone is huge, doesn't matter it's position in my pocket, it just doesn't budge haha. But yeh, love my american eagle shorts. Best fit, nice and soft, good look/colors, awesome
  16. There's alot more room on point than you can think of, just saying lol
  17. I still see quite a bit of families go through, especially more so at CP. But if you think though that's the only logical explanation for Fast Lane on this and other mild attractions for families/children
  18. Girlfriend works Eifel Tower and says the same thing. However here is my thoughts coming from a park perspective. The main demographic the park is trying to go after is the family spending the day in the park. So if you think, if a family comes in, gets fast passes, they use the pass to cater to families as well. From an enthusiast side it allows for great marathoning on some rides, but for a family it offers convenience and ease of use. So think at end of the night fireworks how packed that line gets on some days or even on some busy park days, a fast pass will allow them to bypass the line, enjoy more, and spend more time doing things. From an enthusiast perspective it's pretty lame, and un-needed, but if you look from a park management and who they're trying to target for sales it makes sense.
  19. American Eagle shorts only have button pockets...first world problems Still never had any issues however with this haha
  20. The only girl I will talk coasters with is my girlfriend, and she's a ride op like I was haha. Other than that, in line, I pay attention to stupid people and laugh, or pull my military voice out at line jumpers and crap and belitle and destroy them....*****es
  21. Plus it's the beauty of hand bent, hand worked steel, and not always in contact upstop/guide wheels. Reason why I love my arrows. Such a priviledge to work em
  22. Pay attention I shall drop the bass only once
  23. Lol man that was awhile back. But yeh some there are terrible, most are pretty chill. It's the crazies that give pb a bad image
  24. I have about 100 2011 CP maps/halloweekends maps...wanna toss me 100 bucks? Collected a ton before I left at the end of the season
