I choose The Bat. Vekoma designed floorless swinging suspended trains to replace old Arrow swinging suspended trains. There are currently 2 being used on Vampire at Chessington Worlds of Adventure.

I hope not. I’d rather see another multi looping coaster take The Vortex’s old spot. A B&M floorless coaster like Dominator would fit that bill:

A good looking engine indeed. I wonder if Levi will keep that look after its refurbishment. I’m hoping they are going to swap those horrendous tanks out with tanks that are more original to Crown, assuming they want both engines to be able to share parts.

A small but up and coming park that would be interesting for Cedar Fair to purchase would be Holiday World. Best water park by far in the Tri state area, but very much lacking in the coaster department, particularly steel roller coasters. Holiday World is consistently packed. A Carowinds like investment of 50-60 million dollars could take the park to the next level.

Orion is a hyper coaster per its manufacturer B&M. That is it’s model, you can find this on B&M’s website: https://www.bolliger-mabillard.com/product/hyper-coaster. Which is what Diamondback is. If you compare Orion to the other Giga coasters in the world. Every other Giga coaster reaches a height of 300ft or more and drop of 300ft or more. Orion does not, being only 287ft tall. So personally I don’t consider Orion a Giga, but it’s 2020 and even steel coasters can now be considered wood. *cough* RMC *cough*

Makes me wonder why the park doesn’t just clean the seats and trains like they should, and even more so with COVID. When things get back to normal it should be done at the end of the day. And no rain is not going to clean it, they need to buy a couple truck brushes with the long handle and scrub them down with some Dawn soap to get all the grit, oil and hair products out. The seats became stained because of years of neglect. Dirt, sweat, Hair products being left on, drying, or being baked on by the sun. I know some parks B&M seats start fouling and they cut that part of the seat out and add filler to make it look somewhat normal again.

Your right, also not washing my hands would be pretty much like not wearing a mask and would increases my chance of spreading COVID. If it’s not the park’s responsibility for me giving myself COVID, then they shouldn’t require me to wear a mask, and only the people concerned with getting COVID should be wearing mask and socially distancing to protect themselves. I’m not trying to argue about closing the park, that’s the last thing I want to see is the park closed. I just want the park to do the right thing, protect people in order to keep itself open. If you look at all the B&Ms Kings Island has they all have black seats now. They’re black because that color doesn’t show as much how nasty the seats are because they don’t clean the seats like they should. Like the old Diamondback seats you can see in the above post.

Yes, yes, as I suspected. The K.I. and Miami Valley Railroad will need a way to supply the locomotives with water. From that location they’ll be too far from the fill station at rivertown.

It’s not about me protecting me, it’s about the park protecting everyone from everybody. If I had the choice I wouldn’t be wearing a mask, but the park requires us to wear one to protect others. Yet they’re not protecting us from us by not requiring hands being sanitized prior to riding, or sanitizing seats and lap bars. Those seats are disgusting remember the old Diamondback seats? Those black blotches in the headrest are from people:

The park NEEDS to sanitize the ride seats, and lap bars from the previous riders. Especially when they don’t even require hands to be sanitized prior to riding. Just come ride and touch everything. Who knows if you washed your hands free of COVID, after eating finger licking good BBQ at Coney Barb-B-Que then afterwards get on Diamondback.

Everyone knows you don’t need any fancy wiring to operate a steam train. How thrilling would it be to not have to walk to the best section of the park, Rivertown. Also not having to walk from the water park to main park entrance would be nice too!

I’ve heard about that with them not being insulated properly and having a tough time holding steam during Winterfest. Based off the amount of cars KI has for each train the grade is likely 1-1.5%. Based off the markers I’ve seen from riding the front seat of The Bat. (about 700ft away.) The only logical conclusion is that we are getting a railroad expansion. Why use bus shuttles when the park has 2 capable locomotives that can do the job. Here’s what it would look like:

I’m not sure, but I’m guessing the same time they added the second steam dome. An interesting thing about both #9 and it’s sister #4 is the “African style” depicted by Crown with these locomotives. It’s very uncommon for African Steam Locomotives to have a bell. Bells were very much an American thing. The Triangle lights or as one would call ditch lights are another anomaly that was uncommon in African steam locomotives. Triangle lights (single headlight with 2 ditch lights) Were standard in Germany, as they were early adopters of modern day ditch light. This lightning can be seen with Busch Garden Williamsburg’s #234 “Der Hochbeinige” which is an German style steam locomotive. The steam domes on both #9 and #4 also resemble American styling, a typical African steam locomotive would very much resemble a European style, more specifically from the UK. Which was a large round single dome. Sorry for the long tangent that didn’t answer your question.

Im thrilled to see that they are finally expanding the que line for the parking lot. Hopefully they plan on re tracking the parking lot as well, she’s a fun run, but gettin a bit rough.

Even more shameful being the fact that the SBNO locomotive is one of the rarer Crown’s that is roughly based off an African steam locomotive. Only 2 were designed that way and it’s sister train and also stablemate, is fortunately still operating.
