I see. I know they got new trains, but I’m curious did they alter the support structure? Due to the heavier trains they would have had to alter the structure to accommodate new loads and lateral seismic requirements.

I pulled up the graph, not because of DW, but due to the reopening of other attractions in area. I was asking that if the numbers in Sevier County are spiking without Dollywood being open, shouldn’t there be some concern with the lax mask policy?

They were by Dollywood theatre and the plaza in front of Lightning Rod.

They weren’t at a thrill ride or had food. The photos were being taken near the front of the park.

In the photos being posted to IG, a lot of them have photos of people with masks off. I understand if it’s a no mask relaxation area like what Universal has, but people were on the main midways.

I know. If that’s from people observing social distancing, what happens when you throw several thousand into a park with a relaxed mask policy?

So it seems Dollywood is not cracking down on people not wearing masks. I was able to compare the number of cases in Sevier County (Dollywood) compared to Harris County (Houston-site of the largest current hot spot). These numbers are adjusted to population size, but it’s alarming.

Plus the GG team consists of many workers from the old CCI company. It is also interesting to note that CCI was favored heavily by Six Flags, CF, and independent parks. Paramount did not buy a single CCI coaster.

Today is the 50th anniversary of Kings Island’s groundbreaking ceremony.

The documents are 5 year plans. It’s interesting to note, KD wanted to add putt-putt golf, go-kart tracks (multilevel complex), and Starfleet Academy.

The original signs at KI were like that as well.

True, however I think that may become a bit confusing with so many proposals that have been made. That being said, it would be odd with two racing coasters in the same park.

Turns out there was another wooden coaster concept that was proposed: Would have been interesting if we had this AND The Racer.

UO has areas off of the regular path where people can take there masks off. That area from what I’ve heard is strictly monitored by cast members. Hypothetically, it could be done, provided that social distancing is enforced. This could theoretically be done at the old Gold Pass entrance, SOB queue, Action Theatre queue, crypt queue, and Planet Snoopy theatre. I don’t expect to see people who need a break, remove their masks in the middle of or side of a crowded pathway.

You’re missing the big picture. We are in a pandemic. As I said previously, just because other parks are taking a lax stance on masks doesn’t mean KI will. As stated in the park’s policy, masks will be worn. That’s the rule, and we shall follow it. Furthermore, CDC just sent out new recommendations stating that those in large gatherings of people must wear masks.

Plenty of people won’t be taking there masks off. As I said just because other places don’t require masks, doesn’t mean it will happen at KI. KI has laid down the rules, and they will be followed, if people want to have fun at the park. In fact, the CDC now requires masks to be worn for large groups.

Uh, sorry to burst your bubble, but when the rules say masks are required, they must be worn. Just because other parks were lax, does not mean it’s the same at Kings Island. We must accept having to wear masks, it’s the new normal.

We have to all accept the reality that from now on out, patrons of KI have to wear masks. It’s a changed world, whether we like it or not.

The 1969 Mets were projected to do terribly. After a few moves they won the World Series. It didn’t meet projections, as the citizen’s actions resulted in a difference being made.

We are in the midst of a global pandemic. If we want to do the stuff we used to do we have to make changes. It is now a societal norm to now wear a mask.

It is indeed. Furthermore, they’re on an upwards trend in terms of number of cases.
