  1. Did you know at one time a CCI was proposed for KI?https://coasternation.com/long-lost-proposed-kings-island-dueling-coaster-rediscovered/
  2. Turns out there was another wooden coaster concept that was proposed: Would have been interesting if we had this AND The Racer.
  3. UO has areas off of the regular path where people can take there masks off. That area from what I’ve heard is strictly monitored by cast members. Hypothetically, it could be done, provided that social distancing is enforced. This could theoretically be done at the old Gold Pass entrance, SOB queue, Action Theatre queue, crypt queue, and Planet Snoopy theatre. I don’t expect to see people who need a break, remove their masks in the middle of or side of a crowded pathway.
  4. You’re missing the big picture. We are in a pandemic. As I said previously, just because other parks are taking a lax stance on masks doesn’t mean KI will. As stated in the park’s policy, masks will be worn. That’s the rule, and we shall follow it. Furthermore, CDC just sent out new recommendations stating that those in large gatherings of people must wear masks.
  5. Plenty of people won’t be taking there masks off. As I said just because other places don’t require masks, doesn’t mean it will happen at KI. KI has laid down the rules, and they will be followed, if people want to have fun at the park. In fact, the CDC now requires masks to be worn for large groups.
  6. Uh, sorry to burst your bubble, but when the rules say masks are required, they must be worn. Just because other parks were lax, does not mean it’s the same at Kings Island. We must accept having to wear masks, it’s the new normal.
  7. We have to all accept the reality that from now on out, patrons of KI have to wear masks. It’s a changed world, whether we like it or not.
  8. As I said previously, it doesn’t matter if other places make masks optional, they’re required at KI. In order for us to have fun, while being safe, we must wear masks. That is now the standard.
  9. To be frank, it doesn’t matter if other attractions aren’t requiring masks to be worn, they are required at Kings Island. That is the rule, and we must accept it for us to have fun at the parks.
  10. The 1969 Mets were projected to do terribly. After a few moves they won the World Series. It didn’t meet projections, as the citizen’s actions resulted in a difference being made.
  11. We are in the midst of a global pandemic. If we want to do the stuff we used to do we have to make changes. It is now a societal norm to now wear a mask.
  12. It is indeed. Furthermore, they’re on an upwards trend in terms of number of cases.
  13. Not good. https://www.parkjourney.com/the-other-side-of-the-tracks/from-the-mind-of-the-editor-this-is-not-the-way
  14. Fascinating. I wonder what ki would be like if they went with another ride?
  15. It’s pretty cool to see how deep the reinforcement in the footing went.
  16. People have begun to expect those companies’ advertisements on frequent basis.
  17. I think you are right! Good catch.
  18. I think posts will be like this until things return to normal.
  19. True, but those 20 were along I75 and Norwood Lateral. I’m assuming there were definitely more in the region.
  20. I saw at least 20, and the ones I saw most often were up for four months. Some estimates I’ve seen for billboards are 2k a month per board.
  21. Radio adverts, print ad, TV Spots, and billboards. It was an hypothetical question. Kentucky Kingdom spent a fortune 4 years ago for billboards along Norwood Lateral.
  22. It’s not criticism. The world’s been changed, hence marketing practices will be different. Why should the park spend $1 million dollars to promote something in the middle of a disaster? Any money spent then would simply lead to zero change in attendance. If you ever want to see how construction, manufacturing is done, I highly recommend joining an engineering club at high school or college. One can learn a lot from these clubs.
  23. To be fair, Mystic Timbers is a totally different ride and thus marketed as such. Most of the future updates will be about park information, post COVID-19.
