  1. More cashiers at the brew house might enable you to sit sooner... But it would just make the line look shorter at the expense of food taking longer... I don't feel like getting my order into the system is the bottle neck... It's getting the orders filled that actually takes time.

  2. This is exactly what was going on. It makes essentially it unbearable to use unless you leave your phone on all day (which is not realistic).

Hopefully the park is aware of how inconvenient this is for guests and is looking into it.

Given that this started last season, my guess is that they know... But maybe they want you to see their website or maybe that it's just the way their IT is setup now...

I'd encourage everyone to log their concern with guest services... But I'm assuming they already know.

  3. If it's on the service road, they might be able to get it today. If it's within the chain link fence area, then they have to lock out the ride to be able to enter that area... Which they won't do until after the park closes.

I lost a phone once on flying ace.
I could see it when I rode, but it was within the gated area. I printed a map from Google Arial view and marked where it was, taking that to guest services, but that night it wasn't recovered.

Like you, the next day was Sunday, and I went back. My phone was still there.
I rode that ride most of the day, talking to many of workers. Also like you, the park closing was 8pm Sunday, so once the last riders had gone, a worker locked out and got my phone.... They allowed me to stay nearby while they did that and I eventually got my phone.

Net, if it isn't within the gate, you might be able to have maintenance get it. If it is within the gate, make some friends with ride ops today and see if they can tell you who could get it after 8pm... Or of the ride goes down sooner. Good luck.

  4. I thought that it was a law. Any theme park I have been to offers it.

They have water fountains at various locations... But not all dining locations have water/water cups available... Specifically the relocated machines in I street la Rosa do not.

  5. Anyone at park now? How busy is it?

Was there earlier. Surprisingly a lot of buses for a Saturday. Waits were generally 30 minutes for larger coasters. Left.

It's raining now, so I might head back after dinner in hope of smaller crowds.

Yes exactly. I blame the crappy WiFi on so many people trying to access it. Also, I don’t think it’s accessible everywhere in the park; for example, I can’t connect down by The Bat. I-Street seems to be the WiFi place for me.

The Bat has always been terrible...
But near the end of last season the Wi-Fi required the opening of a website before it would connect... And if you turn off the screen, it disconnects and you need to start over.

Early last season, and prior, you didn't have to wait for the webpage to load to connect...
It's not like they get your email address or anything, so I'm unsure why the change was needed... But it makes it hard to play Pokemon go on the Wi-Fi... Which is one of our favorite places to play.

I’ll be in the park tomorrow on sunday, does anyone know if Delirium is gonna be running? From the look of the live feed it’s been down the past couple days. It’s my favorite flat ride. Is there anything else that won’t be running? Anyone have any insight ?

I rode Delirium last night... Maybe around 8pm... It was running well then.

  7. You should still be able to get free water at any food or drink location.

You cannot. For example the soda machines at la Rosa on I street were recently replaced with machines that no longer have a water button... And as such there are no water cups available. So was this just an oversight, or are they trying to intentionally get out of the water cup cost ongoing?

  8. Pro: I street la Rosa moved the soda machines to after the cash registers, so it doesn't slow down the line of people want to fill up drinks.
Con: the new machines have no water option. So they stopped doing water cups. Really frustrating that someone made a conscious choice to remove free water from this location.

I rarely do this, but I complained to guest services, and they were equally shocked that free water has been removed...

  9. Was that on Dining plan?

Yes... Although it was a special... So it wasn't on the menu board, nor did it even have a placard.
I usually always check to see what new options are there... As it keeps the dining plan "exciting" add the season goes on.

  10. Today's special at the smoke house...
    Gumbo.
Includes your choice of side and a hush puppy, a well as corn bread.
    Served over white rice.

Nice flavor, light spice (more than most park food), and I always enjoy trying a new option.

  11. I know many liked the noodles... But when they didn't move fast enough and sat too long, they got nasty... So in that regard I like that it's just rice now, which they can keep fresher. I was disappointed they dropped the mixed veggie option... As it seemed moderately healthy... But that's been gone longer than the noodles.
