I agree that Jukebox fries are the best. I wish they were an option at the Brewhouse. I’d kill for a Pub Burger, but the thought of the tater tots makes me nauseous by this point in the season. I guess we can’t ask for diversity in the food if we complain about a location having a unique item!
Potato works fries are pretty legit.

Secret food 50th anniversary item
The Bat isn’t listed on the original list of special items. 3 meat balls bowl with mole sauce.
I didn’t try it as I couldn’t see the meatballs or the sauce.

Sounds like this will be an unpopular opinion (based on the reviews above), but I didn’t care for the show.
The opening usher was fun, and the opening trapeze act got our hopes up that it was going to be like past entertaining cirque shows.
But it went downhill quickly from there for my family.
Note: I had two boys; aged 10 & 12. And we didn’t ever ride enchanted theater while it was open. But I think a lot of visitors to the park might be in a similar place.
So we have no sentimental ties to the original ride.
Main complaints were that it was a musical. There are plenty of other shows around the park for those looking for a song and dance production. Ie the main stage by the fountains or the shows in festhaus. The KI theater has been about fun acts of entertainment. We have enjoyed the past shows of jugglers, acrobats, magicians, etc.
In addition to a lot of song/dance (and only 1 non song/dance “act”) it was often difficult to hear all of the parts.
We went. But unlike past shows that we’d see multiple times a summer (often multiple times a week), I’d be surprised if we watch it again.
Hopefully with the 50th anniversary, lots of nostalgic people are flooding the park; and the show will be a hit for them. But for my family, we just weren’t entertained.

I took a bite.
But the green tomatoes were good.
The smoked Viking fury was very good. The sauce was really sweet/fruity. I preferred the BBQ sauce.

Ki is currently doing a fireworks show (Wednesday night, when the park closed 2 hours ago).
I assume it’s a rehearsal for the 50 anniversary fireworks show that opens Saturday night.

They keep flirting with this idea of mobile food ordering. I think there’s still a “coming soon” at the front of juke box.
I’d love for this to be added. It works so well at six flags to keep people from having to wait in food lines.

Wait??? KK has Dollywood cinnamon bread? I’m torn between ready to drive down, and depressed the uniqueness is gone.
Yes. KK has added a cinnamon bread location… just like KI now (or usually) offers cinnamon bread in French corner.
Neither are as good as Dollywood.

Tried French quarter again.
Pro - asked for lettuce on the Sammy and they delivered.
Con- as bad as the undercooked potato side was, the “Italian slaw” was inedible. I like vinegar based slaw… but this was white cabbage in Italian dressing. Hard pass.
Guess I’ll try the pasta salad next time.
Bring back the potato straws.

I enjoyed a to go Italian croissant with potato salad yesterday at the French Corner. Last year, I was a little disappointed with the French Corner. Hopefully menu items have improved, because I prefer smaller yet more tasty portion sizes.
I really enjoy French quarter when I’m looking for something lighter. Although the potatoes were not cooked enough and were still a little crunchy, so I’ll probably try a different side next time.

The bread sticks at I-street larosa were a risky different kind. They had “spices” in them which left an aftertaste.
Note: there were still 2 included even though only 1 is pictured.

We got la Rosa in the fest haus. I didn’t notice a smell. The floors are all completely redone.

I don’t know if they’re working at at all, now. They didn’t scan my pass to get in about 45 minutes ago.
This morning they just stopped trying to scan and let people in by just showing your card.
All the dining places still worked even though we hadn’t officially scanned in.
The two times we got in line for food (fest haus la Rosa and hanks burrito shack) the POS terminals went offline and we just had to wait for them to come back.

We started a six flags membership last summer. So I’m addition to Kings Island (gold pass) we’ll be focusing on six flags parks this summer.
Last summer we did a road trip of six flags eastern coast: America, Great adventure, New England, Darian lake, & great escape.
This year (since it’s “good” for 12 months since we purchased it) we already hit over Georgia and plan to also get to:
Over Texas
Fiesta
Frontier city
St. Louis
Great America
& possibly Magic Mountain
Next year we’ll either go back to platinum Cedar Fair (although Cedar Point has been pretty bad since they added the gold pass for there) or try Busch gardens/sea World passes.

Six Flags has two meal plans, a regular one which is one meal and a snack. Then a deluxe meal plan which is two meals and a snack. Both allow you to substitute a snack in place of a meal.
I really want a deluxe meal plan at Cedar Fair, I am willing to pay extra to get a snack every visit.
I’d even be content with the current plan (2 meals, 4 hours between), but allow me to use a meal credit on a “snack item” if i so choose instead of a meal.

A massive collection of utility trucks was staged today in the south end of the Kings Island parking lot. Looks like at least 50+ trucks were there by this evening (with the portable parking lot lights on them) when I drove past around 9pm.
Presumably preparing for the ice/snow storms that are forecast to hit the area tonight.
Glad to see KI supporting the community with the space. Hopefully this effort proves unnecessary.

This isn’t just for you with a cup plan. I don’t have a drink plan and I get asked every meal of I want to add drink plan. I think they are just really pushing associates to ask/offer the drink plan.
