Jasper
That ride looks absolutely terrifying but i think once i got on it, it would actually be pretty fun. Looks to me like the most terrifying part is the first plummet after you are lifted up. And i though "Prepare To Kick The Sky" was Raptor's slogan not SkyScraper's. Tuskin
I rode one of those once in Germany. Its a pretty intense ride!! Very fun
DropZone99
When on Magnum XL-200 you go right past it, it's pretty cool. I would ride it, if it weren't $20...

The Interpreter
Every Skyscraper I have ever seen has been an upcharge...and $20 is typical. I'd do it again, but not for $20. Maybe for $2.95.

Don't guests pay enough to get in the gate without having to pay for everything else under the sun? Games and food I could see, but rides don't make sense to me. The Interpreter
$2.95 for a ride beats $5something for cold pizza any day, in my book.
Kawana
True that. Now if only we could convince CF to drop the price down to $2.95.
Guest rcfreak339
I rode this kind of ride at Kennywood and there wasn't a upcharge when I rode it, it was compleltly free and a very awsome ride. I'd pay $20 to ride it again anyday! I might have to take a ride to Cedar Point and give it another spin.
The Interpreter
Kennywood had a free Skyscraper? When was this? Was it part of a company picnic when the upcharge was covered by the company?

No, the time I went was last year and was completly free.
The Interpreter
Are you talking Skyscraper, which looks like a Ferris Wheel and has only two seats at the end of a single rotating arm, or are you talking this: http://www.kennywood.com/attractions/thrill.php# Swingshot. If that's what you are talking...Cedar Point has one of those as part of its regular ride lineup as well....I am not aware that Kennywood has a Skyscraper, or ever did, much less free. The Interpreter
Here are pictures of the Skyscraper from Dorney Park, which his also an upcharge: http://www.idexter.com/coasters/parks/dorn...aper_index.html These things only have a 60-70 pph capacity, which is part of the reason for an upcharge. The Interpreter
And that's not a Skyscraper ride like Cedar Point got...or which is typically upcharged... Terpy, who thought for a moment Kennywood had performed another miracle...a non-upcharged Skyscraper!

XGatorHead 8904
Skyscraper looks cool to me! I get nervous on Ferris Wheels, but of course I still ride them. And this is like a turbo-charged one with that speed. I'd probably pay $20 to ride it the first time. After that, no.
