Beast1979
I was at KI for 2 and a half hours today. Like always, it was a great time. Expect 7 posts with photos, I took that many. What a beautiful day for a fix! I bet the transportation fee for the track wasn't to much, being that it was fabricated just a few miles away! It was absolutely beautiful. The day started out a tad empty, but the lines grew through out the day. Kings Island is being transformed into..... ....Kings Grove Cemetary! Established 1972? What a coinke-dink! (Coincidence) I always always always take this pic now. It's a tradition. Halloween is a big deal. OMG! A 7 Foot mexican Juggler! Of course you have to take pics of the ET. Trooper Mom being herself with Velma, who will hopefully become a familiar face come a certain Kiddie transformation.... Lol. Carefull Rick! He barely made it across with a reved up moterbike, what makes you think he'll make it with this? I used to love Drop Tower, but for some strange reason I have no desire to ride it anymore.... Invertigo, YAY! Closed? BOOOOOOOOOO! Signature Shot Kings Island really found a way to P*ss me off. Let's close 2 great rides due to an event that doesn't start for 8 hours. Yea, Real Smart. Ohh well, let's hit a ride that hasn't recieved any customers today. X-TREME SKYFLYER!
Beast1979
Standing.... Flying. That always wakes me up. Going Up! WOO! Really High... ...Almost There.... ...Ok. We're there. 150 feet up. Fly! I'm just a blur. I'm that fast. I did a "Superman" pose and then I discoed. It was a blast. Grab the Loop! Hang on dude! Awesome Ride. And, after I rode as the first ride of the day, there was a huge line and a big crowd watching. I started a trend! I've wanted to ride this for a while... But AE Beckons! AE is a must-ride.... ...That never dissapoints!
Beast1979
Hardly a Manor, but, oh well. Does X-Base have any short waits? Great Airtime. Well, no. X-Base had long lines. So this is next! THIS Is how you do a through the trees shot. The front Seat made this ride amazing. What I wouldn't do to ride the Eagles one more time... Rail Rider, protractor Shot. Supports, Supports, Supports. "Think Big, no, real BIG!" No Kidding! One of these days I'm gonna have to get a Silouet pic of Diamondback, imagine that pic. Beautiful Airtime! How I love Thee! Signature Shot Come in, we are OPEN! Cave. Cool? Random Airducts Magazine front cover. Shows how much CF cares about Crypt's theme.... Me Too! The Amazing Bat-Eating-Man-That-Isn't-A-Cheap-Carnival-rip-Off! Hiding? Dying? Or are they just drunk?
Beast1979
For some reason Half Way through the ride it suddenly stopped and they lowered us and made us get off.... They are planting Grass. It's not even Testing and the paint's already chipping! Wow. I'm no Don Helbig, but, I try. The drop in the ravine is probably 20 feet bigger than it would have been with no ravine. Think Big! It's already the most photogenic ride in the park. It's the amazing Tripple Support! You hit it at just the right angle and these hills look sooooo sexy. Footings! Kings Island is now amoung a great category of parks.....Busch Gardens Europe....Six Flags Over Georgia....Six Flags Great Adventure...Canada's Wonderland.....and now, Kings Island. Here Today, Gone tomorrow. Oh, By The Way, the front seat on The Beast was awesome. Diamondback+Me= Wowsers! The little Orange thing on the bottom is me. I can't stop taking pics of that Hill! We just barely made it onto the train...
Beast1979
Great View of the Crane I can't wait untill the drop is completed. It comes REAL close to the Train 2 pieces of lift track sitting behind the Crypt. Ravine droppage The hammerhead turn area people keep talking about Boomerang Bay, AKA the only other reason besides Diamondback to ride the train. With the sun out it really wasn't that bad of a day to be at a waterpark! All that's left of the train theming Sigh. Joy! $13.99 per body. The Humane Socitety will have somthing to say about this! 2008: An excellent centerpiece to a great park. 1971: A random tower in the middle of a corn farm. Out with the 80's, into the DEAD AWAKENING! You know that when KI says famillies shouldn't visit it's saying something! If you ever wonder what Trooper Mom does while I'm on the rides, she does Sodokus. They just make a Halloween place out of everything! Taken about 1/2 up. I give you: The best kids area of 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008.
Beast1979
The entrance plaza. What? Invertigo is running now? I'm SOOO Mad. Kings Island is a little confused.... Zone of Action, this is. Where they live, Ride Warriors do. Back Breaker: The ride. Spine Twister. Jackhammer. Son of a $#@&. All suitable names. A dome, A Hawk, a Racer. The Coney Mall, AKA the second best area of the park. The Construction Site. What Next? Get Loopy on The Vortex! New for 1987. Lets take this pic again in 6 months. See what's changed. If I didn't know any better I'd say they were about to work on lift Supports Soon! Why does this view seem familiar? It seems more like 40* then 45* Kings Island was plagued by wasps. Some areas more then others. Photographable from every area of the park. Ohh, I probably should've left my Kryptonite at home ... It was pretty breezy today, but no where near like a few weeks ago. Just one more AE fix, in the front seat, then we can go. I am running out of captions now. Ride Warriors, Unite!
Beast1979
The Amusement Park Scene. A Scene very easily photographed. See what I mean? OK, this pic was kinda random... I see you! Stopping by Xtreme Skyflyer to pick up my ride video. Ahh, those are Egg Sacks. I am trying as hard as I can to get my mom to "Strike Now" but she can't decide between Gold or Platinum... Cool Trains... ...Cool Ride. Kings Island. Where Else? Ride Count: Xtreme Skyflyer: 1 Adventure Express: 2 Vortex: 1 Beast: 1 Crypt: 1 Kings Island Miami Valley Railroad: 1 Eiffel Tower: 1 Front Seat Rides: 3 (Adventure Express, Vortex, Beast) And, to end the PTR, I give you my favorite pic I took that day. Ahh, Life.

CoastersRZ
Time for a little lesson on that "chipped paint" you spotted on Diamondback. Did you notice how all those gray areas just happened to be on the rails right at the connection point between two track pieces? The reason is, that on B&M coasters, they actually weld and grind smooth the connection of the actual track rails at the joints of track pieces. This helps ensure that the ride provides a smoother ride experience. Rest assured, these areas will receive touch up paint before the ride is completed and ready to open in April. The Interpreter
...and it should be particularly fun in the night.... Terpy...who thinks you should be glad (and Mr. Helbig even more so) that he didn't add the word row....(People, sometimes you have to interpret things differently....honestly, this type of coaster is even more fun in the dark...and fog is even better...now think Beast...think how great that is..think how much people want to be on the last train of the evening...now think your favorite B & M hyper, should you be so lucky as to have ridden one...put it at Kings Island...think night rides...I'm giddy just thinking about it...and old Terpy can't wait to ride this thing in the night. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar...) I can just about see some people changing their long standing tradition of getting the last ride of the evening/season on Beast to getting one in the night on Diamondback...and if the walkback should continue next year, imagine early morning rides on this...uh...Beast--Terpy, who just HAD to... Rollercoast19
honestly, this type of coaster is even more fun in the dark...and fog is even better... Yesterday, there was a "lake" of fog in the ravine. The ride is going to be amazing at night and during Halloween Haunt!
