XGatorHead 8904
OK, I read the press release 3 times, but I didn't see in there anywhere who or what organization named it the "Best Private Waterpark in the US". Was it Six Flags' corporate office? Now I've never been there, it might be a great place. But I hear of other waterparks in Texas and Indiana that have ranked higher than this one, and I know the source of those rankings!
RailRider
Doing some research I found that Aquatics International bestowed this upon Six Flags White Water. Looks like these awards are based on programing that is in place. For example White Water implemented water conservatin methods and philanthropic endevours. Sounds like these arent necessarily for the best park but more for parks and facilities that are active in the community. Hope that helps clear this up. DropZone99
Just about every summer I go down to Atlanta (well near it; Gwinnet county) to see my cousins, aunt, and uncle. We always go to SFOG. How far is Whitewater from SFOG? I'm going to try to go in 09' also, is it by SF's American Adventures? If so, i might stop there too to get a coaster credit! The Interpreter
American Adventures and Whitewater are side by side in Marietta, Georgia. American Adventures no longer belongs to Six Flags, and hasn't for a while now. It's a Zuma Holdings property. As far as I know, your Six Flags pass is not honored there. The park is now open year round: http://www.americanadventuresfunpark.com/pricing.php
