ENTERTAINMENT AUDITIONS AND INTERVIEWS November 6, 7, 13 and 14 Kings Island THEATER - Kings Island VOCALISTS/TECHNICIANS/PEANUTS CHARACTERS/VARIETY ACTS: 10:00am - 1:30pm DANCER REGISTRATION: 1:30pm - 2:00pm DANCE AUDITIONS: 2:00pm November 12 Kings Island THEATER - Kings Island VOCALISTS/TECHNICIANS/PEANUTS CHARACTERS/VARIETY ACTS: 5:00pm - 7:00pm DANCER REGISTRATION: 6:30pm - 7:00pm DANCE AUDITIONS: 7:00pm November 8 CARMICHAEL HALL, ROOM 202 - BALL STATE UNIVERSITY VOCALISTS/TECHNICIANS/PEANUTS CHARACTERS/VARIETY ACTS: 5:00pm - 7:00pm DANCER REGISTRATION: 6:30pm - 7:00pm DANCE AUDITIONS: 7:00pm November 10 CORBETT CENTER, ROOM CC3705 - UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI (CCM) VOCALISTS/TECHNICIANS/PEANUTS CHARACTERS/VARIETY ACTS: 5:00pm - 7:00pm DANCER REGISTRATION: 6:30pm - 7:00pm DANCE AUDITIONS: 7:00pm SINGERS -- Prepare at least one up-tempo and one ballad in a pop style. You may not sing a cappella. An accompanist will be provided. Bring sheet music in the proper key or prerecorded instrumental tracks (without lead vocals) on CD. You may be asked to read a brief monologue and to dance, so bring appropriate clothes and shoes for movement. Please also bring current photo and a one-page resume. DANCERS -- We are looking for energetic, technically trained dancers experienced in jazz, ballet, hip-hop and acrobatics for an exciting new production. You will be taught a combination during the audition. (If you sing, please bring music as specified above.) Please come prepared in comfortable and appropriate clothing and shoes. Please also bring a current photo and a one-page resume. ACTORS -- We are casting hosts for a variety of show products. Please prepare a humorous, family-oriented monologue of no longer than 2 minutes in length that displays your personality, comedic ability and announcing style. Please bring a current photo and a one-page resume. VARIETY ARTISTS -- We are looking for unique and creative acts. If yo uare an experienced performance artist with an awesome approach to entertainment, please prepare a montage of your best work no longer than 4 minutes in length. Please bring a current photo and a one-page resume. CHARACTER COHORT -- We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to provide assistance to characters during their walks. Please bring a current photo and a one-page resume. SHOW CHARACTERS -- Energetic and animated dancers are needed for productions featuring costumed characters. Pleas come prepared in comfortable and appropriate clothing and shoes for a movement audition. Please bring a current photo and a one-page resume. MEET & GREET CHARACTERS -- We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to portray characters. Please bring a current photo and a one-page resume. An interview and movement audition will be conducted. TECHNICIANS / COSTUMERS -- Interviews wil be conducted for experienced sound operators, lighting operators, follow spot operators, stage crew and costumer positions. Interviews will be held on Audition Dates on a first come, first served basis. Please bring a one-page resume with references. Please note: You will be auditioned in order of arrival within your talent category. You must be 15 years of age to audition and/or interview. Auditions are limited to 2 minutes. CedarPointer Posted November 6, 2010 Share Posted November 6, 2010 I really liked the small acts that could be seen around the park in 2009 (juggler or magician by maingate, stilt walker in Nick Universe, cowboys or something in Rivertown...), but I didn't see any this year. LongliveKingsCobra Posted November 6, 2010 Share Posted November 6, 2010 I feel that if they do not have enough/or any at all variety or Atmoshpere acts (called in the 2010 audition list) they just don't have them. 2009, they must of had more auditions for variety acts...if that makes any sense.
