thekidd33
Can't wait to get a few more laps on Cornball this year!
CoastersRZ
I actually have never been to Indiana Beach before! It seems like a fun little park to visit. Just haven`t had the time or someone interested in going up that way.
McSalsa
Indiana Beach just happened to be the very first amusement park I ever visited, and it has been a long time since then. I last visited in the summer of 1999, August I think... McSalsa digs deep into memories bag... FOUND THESE MEMORIES: ...riding the Hoosier Hurricane 3+ times in a row with my dad...yet, one year later, a ride on The Racer at what was then PKI would make me scared of roller coasters. There was NO LINE for the coaster back when I visited, and I could hop on front-row without waiting. ...my sister freaking out on the Giant Ferris Wheel they had...and on the Viking Ship...forgive her, she was only 8 years old... ...riding Superstition Mountain and freaking out when the train emerged at the end. It wasn't a coaster back then. ...riding some Airplane ride... ...riding their swing ride that goes over the water...I thought it was cool. I love swing rides, even today. Can't wait to try WindSeeker! ...Eating a very tasty Chilli Cheese Dog on a riverboat restraunt. ...attempting to play a game of strength using my ride-all-day wristband...it didn't work, of course... ...the big, fat fish that ate anything that fell in the water...I wonder if they still exist today... ...riding their train. ...getting soaked on Log Flume. That's about all I could dig up from my memories. It has been 11 years now, almost 12...I really should go back and see what has become of my once-beloved Indiana Beach, and to try their "new" coasters: Lost Coaster of Superstition Mountain, Steel Hawg, and of course Cornball Express...for those of who whom stayed put and actually enjoyed reading my rambling here, have a smiley face: Thanks. thekidd33
It has changed a lot since then, and not all in a good way. Cornball and Steel Hawg are both excellent rides, imo, but the park has lost a lot of the charm I remember it having as a kid. I know that management said that their goal was to tidy up things a bit for this season. Hopefully they do because on my one visit last year it was starting to feel a little run down. Perhaps we will have to get a group of KICers together for a trip?

Several went last year and was not able to make it myself. I agree it was a run down quite a bit last year. When Morgan RV bought them a few years ago they repainted quite a bit in the park, (Water Slides and Kiddie area.) I was hoping they would continue that over the next few years, but we have not seen that happen.
rotag
i went for the first time last year. while it did seem a little run down (busted neon signs, stanky bathrooms, & lack of shade on boardwalk side), i still fell in love with its boardwalk charm. its almost like a hidden gem from the past if you ask me. ill be there on the may 8th after being @ holiday world on the 7th. im also going for the first annual riders of the corn (EVENT FLYER http://www.coasterfusion.com/images/RidersoftheCorn.pdf, EVENT AGENDA http://www.coasterfusion.com/images/EventDetails-2.pdf, REGISTRATION FORM http://www.coasterfusion.com/images/EventForm.pdf)
XGatorHead 8904
I've been interested in going for a few years now, the only problem is finding the time to go. As it is, almost every weekend of my summer is already planned and it's only February!
raptor
A couple years ago I made the drive all the way up there and the cornball express was closed all day and the paratroopers were closed almost the whole day, it is a neat park though.
