Ok, so I went to Kings Island and Soak City today with my mom and sister. I haven't been to Soak City yet, and we were going to go today. We thought we might as well hit KI for some early rides too. Ok, here I go!

We got to the gate right at National Anthem time, and I headed to Invertigo. Unfortunately, I just missed the first ride of the day. The Gates were open, and there were empty rows, but as soon as I get up to the station, the gates close. Anyway, after that cycle I got a ride, and it was good. I then headed to Diamondback.

I went into the back row with my sister (Who dosen't do Invertigo yet, and was with my mom on Diamondback), and it was a walk on. (For me, a walk on can be a less than 2 minute wait) A great ride, as always. I then road again with my mom in row 3, walked on, and enjoyed a ride. Then we headed to Planet Snoopy to go on some of the kiddie coasters.

I wanted to, just to see how they still are to me, and I haven't been on some of them yet this year. We headed to Flying Ace and waited a couple minutes for the front row. I liked waving hi to the people below. It was a nice little ride.

I then wanted to head to Surf Dog, but it was closed. Then I would go to Woodstock, which was also closed. KI says Surf Dog and Woodstock Express are open for Early Ride Times, but they were not. We just walked on the Woodstock Whirlybirds. It was a nice little ride, some views of Diamondback and such.

We thought we could have time for 1 Beast ride at opening and still make it for Soak City opening at 10:30, so we headed to the rope drop by Rivertown Junction. When the rope dropped, I dashed off with everyone else, but my cranky, whiny little sister wouldn't cooperate, so I knew i'd have to wait for her and let people cut me at The Beast entrance. But when I got to The Beast entrance, it was closed. Oh well.

We decided just to get a ride on Backlot then and head out. It was a walk on, and I rode 2nd row. I stopped at a store along International Street on the way out to get a Flight of Fear thing of some sorts for my dads birthday. Unfortunately, there weren't any FOF stuff in there. There was even Flight Deck shirts, but no FOF shirts. I decided to check if they had any FOF stuff at Thrill Seekers, but it was closed. Oh well.

We decided to head to the car and get our Soak City stuff and head to Soak City. We got there a few minutes before 10:30, and at 10:30, we went to Tidal Wave Bay to get a seat. We got a seat under a blue Funbrella, what KI calls these new umbrellas on Facebook and Twitter posts. What's funny, is they actually are Funbrellas. A thing on them said Funbrella. I thought that was funny. Anyway, we decided to wait for the waterpark to open and head to Zoom Flume, our favorite slide to ride together.

Now, i'm not as big on waterslides as I am on coasters, so there are a few slides I still have never done in Soak City. Anyway, we headed back and got the first ride of the day on Zoom Flume. I love the new green and yellow colors on the slide, very pretty. After that, we walked on again.

Me and my sister then went on Paradise Plunge. It was a nice slide, and a walk on. Again, I love the new paint. We then went to Thunder Falls, and it is nice not to see everything all white, but blue and green. I took a fun ride, and we then went on again. After that, me and my sister tried out the new Splash River. Now, i've heard about it not being good because of there being to many water effects and adults not liking getting that wet, so it's kind of hard to say things from my perspective about it.

So, you head in the new zero depth entrance back by Zoom Flume, and first is where there are the water guns people are shooting at you. There are also some other water stuff there, about half of it not working today. Next, you kind of head into a whatever you call it, where there is ots of bubbles in the water, and it gets kind of bumpy. You then head under Paradise Plunge. Then you go under a bridge, where there are some more human controlled affects. A bit forward, there is the sign thing that used to have a crocidile and pours down tons of water, which I always love going under. There is then some more water stuff, the old "mushroom", more water stuff, and you head back to the entrance. I liked it, but I can see why some people may not.

We then headed to Tidal Wave Bay. Most people in the water had intertubes. The waves were high and fun, with and without an intertube. I stayed in for a few more rounds on waves. The water is a nice temperature. A bad thing though, is that if you are in an intertube, the waves might send you back into a person. There was also lots of empty intertubes towards the end of the wave pool to the left. I enjoyed the new wave pool for the most part. I also saw to the left of the wave pool, there was lots of dirt, and some construction going on. There was a sign saying they are expanding the pool deck. Sounds good!

I then went into the old wave pool, Breakers Bay. It seemed a bit wider, but shorter from entry to where the waves start. I can't be sure, but the waves seemed slightly shorter than those in tidal wave bay. It was a bit less crowded in Breakers Bay than Tidal Wave Bay. I think it is nce having 2 wave pools, but it just seemed wierd to me having them right next to each other.

We then headed to Pineapple Pipeline. The paint looks really nice here to. I like this slide, but it just seems a bit forcefull to me or something. We walked onto it twice. My siter wanted to do Splash River again, so we did a lap on there.

I wanted to do Paradise Plunge again, so we headed there. We were used to no lines the whole day, and I was a bit surprised to see a short line. But it was only about 5 minutes. It was a great ride, and did I mention how much I love the colorfull paint?

We wanted to do Zoom Flume, but the line looked long, so we did Thunder Falls again. It was a nice ride, and a walk on. We both headed back to Tidal Wave Bay where my mom was. I stayed for a little in Tidal Wave Bay, then we left. Overall, it was a great first visit to Soak City, and nice going to ERT in the dry park too.

A few notes:

*Delirium was on the rides closed today sign again. Sounds like something is going on with Delirium.

*Soak City had some people playing music somehwere around the entrance. It was nice.

*I once again loved the sopunds of the waterpark and the lifeguards whistles always blowing.

Anyway, I think i'm going to try and do a trip report for every visit this year. Why? I'm not sure. I kind of feel like it. And if you read this trip report, as always, thanks for reading!

I'm curious as to what ride merchandise you saw? I wish rides like Adventure Express, Flight of Fear, and The Racer had merchandise available. It might be an incentive to spend mas dinero en el parque, y mas FUNperks! What did the Flight Deck shirts look like?

Thanks for the report, glad you had a great day! :)
