IndyGuy4KI
On Tuesday, July 30th we had an opportunity to take the kids over for a fun day at Kings Island before our oldest (Korbin) had to start school that coming Friday! We did not get into the park until right at 10 AM, which I did not like for we missed ERT, but I could not get everyone to move any faster out of the house to make it for ERT that morning. We went straight to Planet Snoopy and got the kids height measured and arm bands put on. Our youngest Kaylee has now hit the 36" mark and now has a few more ride options! I was excited for her! We then got in line for a quick hug from Snoopy! We then went through BBOBH and then let the kids ride for about an hour and a half on rides in PS. Here are a few pics of the kids on a few rides! What a grin! Mommy and Kaylee got a ride on Snoopy's Junction while Korbin and I rode Surf Dog! It was quite busy in that part of the park. We were then starting to get hungry and went to the Festhaus for some pizza and see British Invasion! I got a text from Beastie1980 (Melissa) that she and her mom made it to the park and was going to join up with us!) They watch the show with us while we ate and we then decided to hit up some bigger rides for a little bit. We rode the scrambler so Kaylee could ride it and then Melissa, Korbin and I rode The Racer. We saw a blimp going over KI that said Direct TV. Not sure if was advertising over KI or just happened to be overhead on its way somewhere? We then rode Vortex as well, both fun rides with my son Korbin! Since we were at that end of CM, Kaylee wanted to go through her favorite part of the park. Dinosaurs Alive! Every time KI is brought up at our house she talks about the Dinosaurs! So, my wife took her through there, but Korbin wanted to ride The Beast, so Melissa, Korbin and I went to The Beast! There was about a 30 min wait. It was a good ride on The Beast! Once the ride was over Melissa had somewhere to be soon and had to leave. We got a picture in front of the DB splashdown and Korbin and I walked her and her mom to the front gate. Korbin and I then meet back up with my wife Kim and Kaylee and then headed to PS again to meet 1lillybug (Lillian) and her husband Peter (can't remember his screen name), and their four year old child Zoey. The kids now had someone to ride with and we had another adult couple to chat with wile the kids rode the rides. This made for a nice few hours over in PS! Kaylee and Zoey enjoying a ride, but Korbin was mad because Zoey wanted to ride with Kaylee instead! LOL.. Korbin finally got her to ride with him in the Red Baron! We all got a ride on The Great Pumpkin Coaster and I got a picture of Peter and his daughter Zoey getting ready to ride! I don't think he can contain his excitement any more! We waked back to CM to get a ride on scrambler with the little ones again and by the time we got off is was getting close to 8 PM, so we decided that it was about time to start making our 2 hr drive back to Indy. Lillian, Peter, and Zoey stayed for a while longer at the park. It was a great day with great KIC company at Kings Island! Thanks for reading!
