Guest dtk1376
So thought I would start doing these and start a thread for my reports. It's been a month since I've been to Kings Island but I did make it to Coney Island (Cincinnati) on Friday 7/11/14 for a company picnic, so guess my first one will be for Coney. - Went with my 4 year old daughter - Got there about 12:30pm - First thing we did was eat lunch - First thing my daughter wanted to do was ride the big slide which I was surprised she couldn't ride by herself at 44 inches, but oh well, gave me an excuse to ride it - Next we rode the Tilt-A-Whirl which was a blast once I was able to figure out how to get to spin really fast - We then went over to play some mini golf but found out I needed a $1 deposit for each of us with our wrist bands, and I only had $1 - After that we rode on the Python coaster and that brake run is ROUGH at the end - We were going to try out the Flying Bobs next but they were down, ho-hum - She rode a few of the kiddies rides after that - We then rode the bumper cars, and I was really confused about the restraints, apparently they find it safer to have just one arm through the seat belt but not your head, and for the kids you wrap it around your waist pretty much promoting whip-lash, we survived though - We then got on the Como Cruisers, I will say I miss the bumper boats but these were nice just to get on a boat that isn't a paddle boat since I would be doing all the work on a paddle boat - After that I got to meet up with some friends from work who had a daughter same age as mine and they got to ride some rides together - Got to ride the Scrambler and I love their Scrambler as I find it to be much more intense than the Kings Island version. - Rode the Ferris Wheel which is always fun except for the 4 year old that wants to keep on looking for her friend on the other side making the seat rock - Next rode the River Runner rocking boat which I was surprised at how high it goes as it did not look like that from the outside looking in, pretty much same height as the Viking Fury at Kings Island All in all a great trip as it always is there, great place to take kids with as they have a comparable assortment of rides for kids to Kings Island and is much cheaper (especially when you get in free with work, hehe). No trip to Sunlite Pool though, always find that place to be too packed and the lifeguards to be over the top with whistling every thing (e.g. me picking up my then 2 year old daughter out of the water to help get her to the side telling me that I was doing horseplay...)

Guest dtk1376
It was a great time, had my daughter with me, she is still in the 44 inch zone and it was just me with her so we just stuck with the rides she could get on as well. Thanks for reading
Guest dtk1376
Made it up to Kings Island on Wednesday, 7/23/2014 with my daughter. Decided to go up on a whim because it had been raining all morning so I thought the crowd might be light with minimal chance of rain the rest of the evening. General Information Parking - Parking was easy, was able to park in my favorite area, right next to the crosswalk Weather - Mid 70's most of the day with no rain Hours there - 4p-10:30p Thrill Rides No thrill rides this trip, was with the little one Family Rides Scrambler - Rode this just after a quick pop up shower came through, so wet seats, but oh well, still fun as ever. No wait Monster - No wait, it was a good ride, got one that spun really good Viking Fury - Rode several times on the very back, funny thing is I never liked the far back as a kid and my daughter loves it in the far back Grand Carousel - Rode it and got to see the organ playing for the first time in forever, my daughter even noticed it and thought it was pretty cool K.I. & Miami Valley Railroad - Rode during sunset, took a while for the train to come back from Soak City, not sure why Boo Blasters on Boo Hill - Daughter is getting even better now, she got up to 360 this time for her score Planet Snoopy Surf Dog - Was closed all evening, just as it always seems to be when there is some rain Race for Your Life Charlie Brown - Rode once before it got too late in the evening, less than a 5 minute wait Flying Ace Aerial Chase - Rode several times through the evening, even got one on the front car at the insistence of my daughter Peanuts 500 - Daughter rode it several times with no wait Joe Cool's Dodgem School - She rode it several times, not many kids in there with her to knock into though, she was trying to figure out how to weave through all the cars without hitting them lol The Great Pumpkin Coaster - She rode this a few times Peanuts Off-Road Rally - She rode once, didn't seem too enthused though, probably getting a little out of the age range for it Woodstock Express - We were able to ride this quite a few times with no wait except for the couple times we went for the very front car Sally's Sea Plane - Rode it with no wait, some guy riding with me answered his phone while riding the ride and the operator kept on announcing to put the phone away so it wasn't that enjoyable Linus' Beetle Bugs - She rode it once with no wait Snoopy's Junction - We rode it once with no wait Linus' Launcher - We rode it with no wait Snoopy vs. Red Baron - She rode it with no wait several times, the ride does have some of the better light at night Soak City No water park, not enough time Live Entertainment Rock 'N Roll Never Forgets - Walked through Festhaus on our way to dinner and caught a few seconds, was not impressed with the singing Playlist Live! - This was pretty good, we went there for the last show at 10:00 and my daughter decided to get the dancing started. So if you saw a 4 year old girl out in front of the whole crowd dancing by herself that was her. Eventually the singes interacted with her and all the kids were eventually dancing. Fireworks - Saw the fireworks, nothing too spectacular Dining Juke Box Diner - Went here for a refill on our souvenir cup, for whatever reason the one to the right is always closed The Chicken Shack - Ate there for dinner and it was fantastic, got me a chicken wrap

Guest dtk1376
Went for what will probably be our last 10:00 closing of the year since this is the last week they are doing 10:00 closes on weekdays thanks to that pesky school thing. General Information Parking - Parking lot was actually kinda empty for what the crowd ended up being Weather - Mid 80's with no rain Hours there - 11:30am-10:30pm Family Rides Congo Falls - Did not ride but my daughter went up to get soaked by the splash down Scrambler - Rode this ride with several cycles going through before we could get on Monster - Was able to get on with no wait Viking Fury - Rode several times with no wait Grand Carousel - Rode once with no wait, my daughter still loves seeing the new band organ K.I. & Miami Valley Railroad - Rode with no wait of course Boo Blasters on Boo Hill - I got around 1500, she got only 30, think she had a busted gun though Planet Snoopy Surf Dog - Rode once, had to wait about 20 minutes to ride Race for Your Life Charlie Brown - Rode twice, first time it was about a 30 minute wait. Second time there was no wait, but that's because it was 8:30 and we got flippin' drenched Flying Ace Aerial Chase - Rode this once, we had to wait about 30 minutes to ride it Joe Cool's Dodgem School - She did this several times with no wait The Great Pumpkin Coaster - She rode it once, poor old daddy isn't allowed to ride it anymore (at least according to her) Charlie Brown's Wind Up - She rode it once with no wait, they played Simon Say's while riding Woodstock Express - For some reason this was the ride she was most excited about going on. We rode it several times, was long waits in the afternoon, around 20 minutes. When night hit though it was only several cycles to get on Linus' Beetle Bugs - She rode this with no wait Linus' Launcher - We rode this several times with no wait Snoopy vs. Red Baron - She rode it once with no wait Live Entertainment Cirque Imagine - Checked it out for the second time and it was still amazing to watch. I'm trying to talk my mom into coming up to see it with us Playlist Live! - Watched the 10:00 show, ton of kids up and dancing around, including mine. Always makes me remember what going to Kings Island is really all about, having fun. Peanuts Party in the Plaza - Watched this and wasn't too impressed, my daughter didn't seem so either Peanuts Gang Meet and Greets - She got to get pictures with all the characters The Kings Island Five - Saw them outside the KI Theatre on our way into Cirque Fireworks - Missed most of the fireworks because we were just getting off Woodstock Express when they were starting Dining Coney ICEE Mix-it-up - Almost got an ICEE over here, but then saw the price of $8.99 and opted to go to the Subway in the park and get one for $3.99 Dip-N-Dots Depot - We got a large Dip N Dots, then the guy informed me there with be a giga coaster installed next year (joking of course lol) International Street Skyline Chili - Had this for dinner, I really with they had a kids size 3-way, that thing is so huge for her to eat on her own, she's lucky if she gets through a quarter of it Planet Snoopy Grill - Ate here for lunch, got a bacon cheeseburger which is always good. And I stand by saying they have the best french fries in the park
Guest dtk1376
Had a great day today, we were there most of the day and my parents were able to make it up there later in the evening, it was the first time my dad had been to Kings Island in over 20 years. I could tell he was blown away by what the park looks like today compared to what it looked like back then. General Information Parking - Parking lot was pretty full, still was able to find a spot pretty easily though Weather - Mid 70's most of the day with no rain Hours there - 12:30p-10pm Thrill Rides The Beast - Rode this with my mom in the evening. I did one of those spin wheel things and won a skip the line pass and figured that was the best route to go because neither of my parents wanted to come close to Diamondback or Banshee lol. Racer - Rode this with my dad with no wait, he had trouble getting in the seats since he's a little on the heavier side, but he had a great time on it once the ride started. Family Rides Congo Falls - Didn't ride, but my daughter got splashed by it, it's almost becoming a regular thing when we go there now haha Viking Fury - Rode this a couple times with my daughter with no wait. The ride op sitting up on top controlling the ride was being kinda annoying though, it almost seemed like he was flirting with the two girls working on the boat. Grand Carousel - Rode this with no wait, I was kinda sad to see the band organ not working, my daughter noticed it right away. Hopefully nothing is wrong with it. Eiffel Tower - Went up here, felt like a sardine in the elevator going up but that is nothing new. Never experienced a ride op making fart noises in the microphone though... K.I. & Miami Valley Railroad - Rode in the middle of the night with my parents and daughter, it was pretty cool that they do a little ghost story type of thing for Missouri Jane at night. Boo Blasters on Boo Hill - Rode once with a little wait, probably about 10 minutes. I swear the effects in the ride are deteriorating faster and faster Planet Snoopy Surf Dog - Rode once with parents and daughter with about a 10 minute wait Race for Your Life Charlie Brown - Rode once, didn't get too wet, was about a 20 minute wait Peanuts 500 - Daughter rode it once with no wait Joe Cool's Dodgem School - Daughter did this a few time with hardly any waits. She's cute out there, goes around to the kids that are stuck and tries to explain to them how to turn the wheel in a big circle The Great Pumpkin Coaster - Daughter rode this once with about a 15 minute wait Charlie Brown's Wind Up - Daughter rode this once with no wait Woodstock Express - Rode this once with my daughter, the overflow queue was almost half full. Park was really busy when we first got there, something to do with Miami University it seemed. Woodstock Whirlybirds - Rode once with about a 10 minute wait Linus' Launcher - Rode this twice, no wait either time. Dining Ice Cream - Got me a red cream soda float, it was very yummy, never had one before. International Street Skyline Chili - Had this for lunch, very good The Chicken Shack - Had this for dinner, it was fantastic, I loved my chicken wrap
