I remember being a kid of 12 or so talking to another kid (a year or two older) in line for a ride and he told me he had a season pass and that the park was basically hit day care while his parents worked. That's as far back as I can remember hearing the term "season pass," and I didn't believe other kids who spoke of their existence at the time ("Oh, come on! Disney will still accept a ticket that was originally bought with the no expiration option from however many years back. I know the park resisted the idea of season passes for several years before caving in 1979. I don't think they made them cheap (to that year's standards.)
