Blackhole6670
How much fun is the Slingshot? How much do you have to pay to ride it? How comfortable is the seat? How comfortable and tight can the lap belt be? How comfortable and tight is the over the shoulder harness? Can you ask for the restraints to be tighter? Do the staff at slingshot tell you where to hold on to? Can you hold onto the over the shoulder harness? Can the passengers hold hands? How scary is it when the ride tilts back? Can you ask for a countdown for when the ride will launch? How scary is the launch? How much will the passengers body move while inside the restraints? How good is the view of Kings Island? Is this ride better than the Xtreme Skyflyer? Would you want to ride this ride again and again? Can you tell your on ride experiences? The Interpreter
SlingShot, as the name of a Kings Island attraction, is always capitalized here. It's nearly as much fun as a midwinter nap, interrupted by a leaky roof. To me. Almost. Your experience may vary. Ride it and see.
jcgoble3
Some think it's the scariest ride at the park. Others think it's less thrilling than watching grass grow. There does not seem to be much of a middle ground, if any, in those opinions. Me? I fall into the latter category. If I'm going to pay for an upcharge ride, I'd much rather spend my money 500 feet due north.
jbum123
I find it fun but not fun enough to justify paying full price for. Go early and get it for $5.
The Interpreter
I wouldn't waste my time riding it if they paid ME full price.
MDMC01
I think SlingShot is pretty fun, and pretty relaxing toward the end of the ride.
jcgoble3
I wouldn't waste my time riding it if they paid ME full price. Eh, I would. I'll happily take $25 if all I have to do for it is be bored out of my mind for a couple minutes. Might help me pay down my credit card a little quicker.
jdf21972
I have yet to pay for an attraction ride at Kings Island and have not ridden Slingshot but going to ride Slingshot at Carowinds next week. I'll let you know.

thegajone
I find Skyflyer to be the far superior upcharge attraction. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
sikkinixx99
Skyflyer way better than Slingshot. Way more intense to me,and way more fun!!
FoF96"
I've never done SlingShot but have done SkyFlyer. I found it boring. It didn't seem very tall and was less than thrilling for me. However I did it when it was $5 tickets so no harm done
benny1388
Rode slingshot with the youngest on a (sorta) dare Memorial Day weekend of this year. We got it when it was $10ea. The time it takes to get strapped in and the ride ready to launch combined with the time it takes from the ride ending to being lowered to the ground and let out are both pretty dull, except there's some decent views of the park up there. The ride itself? Was ok. I'd never experienced anything quite like it, not sorry I did it at all (not sure I'd do it again, but that's because of the cost). The launch was similar to a Drop Tower ride, except you're looking up and have little/no reference point for your brain to register the motion with. Then there's the up/down bouncy part after the launch that isn't overly dull, especially if you like feelings G's and lack thereof. It looks much more intense/intimidating from the ground than it actually is.
DiamondAceExpress
Is it jerky at all?
benny1388
Is it jerky at all? I didn't think so at all. You get some G's when they launch you similar to a launch coaster (probably less, or seems so, since you're basically laying down). At the apex you get some 'air time' feeling as you go into free fall, then some minor G's as the ride slows you down at the bottom. For us, it repeated 5-6 times until the ride settled out, each time with less intensity/duration. There's a camera in the pod, I bought the video as a keepsake for myself and the youngest. I can try to put it on dropbox or something and link it here...
