JubJester
Here's another shot from a different angle. Seems like they're just putting a new piece in. Wear and tear may have got to that section of track. Interesting way of covering up the ends.
TheRickster
I hope it's just a new piece of track... I'm sure we'd know if it was closing, but I love arrow suspended coasters, and I've only rode Iron Dragon once, just simply because the other rides there are more fun and take up more time in lines. I was just thinking this past week how I kind of regret not riding it this past August when I went.
Creed Bratton
Iron Dragon is returning. Likely doing work on that piece of rail. In the presentation, they announced that VR would be back for Iron Dragon in 2018 on the same schedule as last year.

That is very worrisome, I dare guess that a hairline crack was found during ultrasound testing. I also dare say that this is a band-aid fix that will replace one rail joint with two. Without reprofiling the track if I am right then problem will likely reappear and the extra joint may also cause problems too.
fryoj
They did this same thing when they converted Top Gun into The Bat. It's happened on Diamondback. It's not that unusual. Steel wears out over time. Rails take the brunt of that.

BoddaH1994
Cedar Point raising ticket prices for 2018. King Ding Dong
I had to buy gate tickets for guests a couple of times last year and don’t think I ever spent more than $40 and one day it was only $27. There is always some kind of discount available. I did take advantage of the BOGO sale Presidents’ Day weekend just to lock in a decent price. They made me provide the guests names on the order so I guess we can only bring Tom and Jerry now.

King Ding Dong
There is a very similar piece in Cleveland.com. So it is really just a press release/advertisement for workers. I am sure they draw workers from Indiana. http://www.cleveland.com/travel/index.ssf/2018/03/cedar_point_plans_pay_increase.html

MDMC01
That is great that Maverick is getting some love! Also, I'd love to see a campground again at KI. If the campground was near Bat and Banshee, maybe the new park entrance could be near where Wolf Pack is now.

Magenta Lizard
Ideally for fundraising purposes, there wouldn't be a set price. There would be a number of available slots, and the amount would be determined by what people are willing to pay/raise for the privilege.
Maverick44
Ahhhh Maverick!!! <3. Is anyone going to be going to the Passholder FrontierTown Hoedown?
King Ding Dong
Nah, it’s just a Hoedown. Now if they had another Hootenanny, I would be all over it. 3
Maverick44
I think I may go to the Hoedown. Only passholders there and its a chance to get on SV without a 5 hour wait.
