skyride72 Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 I think I just saw the train being backed into the barn at 9:15 p.m. on this Saturday night in July. Why does the train stop early? Nighttime is a good time to ride the train. 1 Quote
CoastersRZ Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 I believe that the train has closed at 9pm most nights the last several years. 3 Quote
IndyGuy4KI Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 The ridership the last hour must not have justified the cost, even thought I do not think a ride should be closed before the park closes. I also do not think a lot of the restaurants should close 45 min to an hour before the park closes either. 3 Quote
FUN&ONLY! Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 Both trains run on weekends. Likely only one of the trains was being transferred off. The other one could have operated until 10:00 PM. Quote
super7 Posted July 12, 2022 Posted July 12, 2022 It’s purely a cost saving measure unfortunately. I love night rides on the train. That’s what Winterfest is for. B Quote

FUN&ONLY! Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Does the train close even earlier now than last season? I think I saw it backing up around 8:00 PM the other day. Quote

FUN&ONLY! Posted May 31, 2023 Posted May 31, 2023 It closed after 9:00 PM last season, which I thought was already too early. 2 Quote
SonofBaconator Posted May 31, 2023 Posted May 31, 2023 The waterpark closes at 7 so really there’s no reason to keep the train open past 8. When they used to stay open later, there would only be a few people riding it. I’m sure they’d rather have those conductors staffed somewhere else for the remaining 2 hours that the park is open. 1 Quote
