i think these new bracelets are just fad. the lance armstrong foundation had a great idea, and originally i liked it... but yeah, now there is one for just about everything. they are over rated and there are wayyy to man of them out there... what was an original, eye catching idea has now become nothing more than a meaningless trend. i for one would not be interested in pki bracelets.

I agree that it would be a good idea, but here is my opinion on it. The Lance Armstrong 'Livestrong" bracelets were created to show your support for cancer research. 100% of all the proceeds went directly into funding ways to cure cancer. All these other companys saw this and started banking in the idea by creating there own band to make some quick cash. Hell, even Eminem has his own wristband if you buy one of his DVD's.

I agree with specialk that they are just a fad.

If you really want to support the site, buy PKIC clothing here. or simply check out a few of our sponsors whos ads appear on the site.

I agree, the braclets started out as an awesome idea: to raise money for cancer research. But like almost all good ideas, some idiot has to come a long and spoil it. I saw my sister come home the other day with a green and purple ones on and i read them and they said "Spoiled" and "Princess". The braclets are a great fundraising idea for people who NEED the money.

I am not sure if you guys are thinking about the park doing these, but it would be cool if this site made some. Then we could meet everyone around the park who had one on.

We could have those made and put are names on them. Example:

www.pkicentral.com "Tubaman"

Personally I think thats ridiculous. The bracelets were made originally to help give money to charitiable organizations and support the cause of that charity. The knock offs that people just wear for fashion are the worst example of capatilizing on charities and serious issues. I personally think it would be a horrible idea.

I don't like the idea of capatilizing on a great idea for charity, however we do need some way to identify ourselves in a somewhat discrete manner. I don't like flaunting things, but I'd love to see a PKIC bracelet or something to identify others...I don't, however, want a T-Shirt or thong. tongue.gif

they only bracelet you will ever see me wear is a live strong or maybe a breast cancer one. I think that all the companies that make the braceletts are just copying off of Lance's idea. Even if all proceeds go to a charity, I still don't really like it. Lance's idea is the best...I mean you see celebs w/ em on but you dont see celebs with any other one on....idk...i guess i just don't like the idea lol...

I was against wearing website shirts until I joined the staff of this site and decided to support the cause. Now I inherently wear a PKIC shirt to the park whenever I go. It's actually turned out to be kind of cool because a lot of people that I had never met before come up and start talking to me because they recognize the logo.
